Hi, I would like to share my experience on my L9 P760 (v10a unbranded form TIM Italy with root) about the following issues using the original LG charger:
1) I never power off my L9 and usually I recharged it in the night (not in airplane mode) while I am sleeping, so I plug the charger at 23:00 and I detach it at 7.00 with a charge variable from 94/95% to 100%.
2) The first hour after dectached from the charger, the phone drain battery very fast, tipically 7/8-10% in about 1 hour (also by doing absolutely nothing on phone), next it gets a quite normal battery consumption.
Assuming these 2 conditions, I always have used the phone in the same way and basically with the same set of apps used and installed. I leave all sensors always on, the 3g, the wifi, the bluetooth connection always on with a full synchronization for two google accounts. The main activities I usually perform on the phone are check the mail with GMail, read a lot of news with Currents, a moderate usage of Facebook and Twitter and watching some video on YouTube. In these typical scenario usage, the maximum performance I obtained from battery was about 28 hours with about 3 hours of active screen usage. Quite good but...
Accidentally, I discovered that charging the phone with another charger (not LG, in my case an Asus charger for the tablet TF101G but I think it could work by using any charger with a different volatage output respect to original) give me an incredible improvement on battery life. Not only when now I detach the phone is ALWAYS at 100% but also the fast battery drain observed in the first hour is gone. Now with the same usage scenario described above yesterday I have obtained 44 hours of usage (with a residual charge of 14%) and more than 4 hours anf half of active screen usage. I am quite sure that this behaviour depends on the charger because I repeated the entire cicle of charge-use_the_phone-charge for three times and I always obtained these consistent results. Next I tried to charge again the phone with original LG charger and I have again the same set of issues reported above.
I attach the screenshot of battery usage this morning just to show you what I said.
Anyone has found a similar behaviour on his L9?
hm more should try and post feedback, i dont have a second charger and i also notice the same battery drainage with loosing fast the first 7-10% after charging and phone not full when i wake up in the morning.
Is there possible a battery damage by using an other charger? this seems like a charger thing, lg to low the costs of production in this model has cutted down the quality in every peripheral of the phone, charger cable headphones etc

For what I know (please someone correct me if I am wrong) it should not be a problem. I think you can use without problems any charger which have a maximum output greater than the required input power of the phone (the power in excess will not not be used).

lolz, :laugh: replace your original LG Charger, must be faulty. You just said its unbranded TIM Italy.
I get similar good result with original charger. My battery lasts more than 35 hours with business use and more than 40 hours after moderate use. Or may be P765 in India got good quality chargers than other countries.

EDIT: Any technical person will tell you overnight charging is bad for battery and phone as it creates too much heat and that damages battery. And yes, My phone gets 100% in around 1-3 hours. And when you say you need to charge overnight and its still 94% sometimes, then dude you have slow charging problem with your charger.

My phone was originally a branded TIM next I unbranded it and transformed into a kind of european V10A (I said "kind of" because I flashed european firmware but the software version shows p76010a-222-01 differently from a real european phone. It seems that this code is computed by using also the IMEI.)

This explanation given here can not apply to my situation. In the night the phone basically is always in deep sleep, so there should not been overheating problem, so the charger should work at its full power.
I even don't think that my charger is faulty because: 1) this problem (of not completely charge the phone after a night) is common to a lot of other L9 P760 users (as reported in other italian forums and applied even to branded or unbranded europoean firmware). 2) I can confirm you that if I charge the phone during the day it reaches the 100% of charge in about 2, 2-5 hours but when I unplug it it has always a very fast battery drain in the 1st hour. Some days ago, with original LG charger, I discovered that in the night, ithe battery has a continuos fluctuation from 100% to 95/94% as showed here:
so this is probably is the main reason why in the morning when you unplug the phone you obtain a variable charge of the battery.
I think it is a strange behaviour which is related to some bugs in LG firmware on P760, at least in v10a. I even don't know if this problem has been fixed in the last v10h (and possibly someone can confirm us). Anyway, for now, I will be remain to v10a just because I need root for some applications.

about the chargers... you can use any charger that has 5.5 DCV output. The trick for the slow charging is the current, I charge my L3 with original lg charger with 0.7A (700mA) and it charges from 0 to 100 in 3 hours max, so try another charger that has more output current

I checked the default LG charger and it has these specs:
Input:100-240V ~0.2A
Output:5Vdc/0.85A
So the original LG charger has lower ampere in input and output (less than half), are we sure it's not going to damage phone?

I read on several other forums that should not be a problem. Example:

Anyway, next days I want to try with another less powerful charger. I have also noted that the phone while charging is not overheating, so it could be a good signal that all is ok.
Tonight, I also want to use "Battery Monitor Widget" to get useful statistics about temperature and power absorption while charging the phone.

I've got the same problem. I charge full my L9 and when I detach my mobile from the charger the battery starts to drain fast even if I don't use it or unblock the device. Then, when the battery reachs about 80% of battery, the consumption stabilizes quickly. In general the battery life is quite good but I expected more of a large duration battery.
The strange thing is that when the baterry is low, (more or less at 25%) it drains so much slower compared to when I unplug the charger. Any more suggestion? I've bought it 5 days ago and I've charged it 3 times.

It was once posted on xda portal that charging from a pc (usb port) although it's slow, it makes the battery last longer, because of low voltage, so using a charger that passes less voltage is always better, but the charging process is longer.

Cool. The thing is I turn my PC off at night so I use the travel adapter included with the phone. I have noticed my battery always starts at 99% instead of 100% and seems to drain fast to 95%, but afterward the battery life is good.
I turn off my wireless most of the time because I saw wlan_rx_wake was causing an unholy amount of wakelocks due to some dynamic IP crap. I also turn on airplane mode at night because I want to sleep. I also ran the T-Mobile bloatware disabling script by LG here. I have no idea how much of a difference that made. However, I left location services and sync on because I noticed very little difference. I play about 15 minutes of games and use the screen for about another 105 minutes everyday. My battery drains about 40% in 30 hours. So I can get two or three days of charge before I have to recharge.
Here's my current power breakdown after 32 hours, according to GSam Battery Monitor:
Screen - 64.1% (Medium brightness, 50%)
App Usage - 25.0% (Android System - 5.5%, Kernel [Android OS] 4%, Game 1 - 2.5%, Kii Keyboard - 2.5%, Game 2 - 2.4%, Live Wallpaper 1.0%)
Phone Radio - 10.1%
So I have some news...
Relative to temperature while using the tablet charger, I can confirm that the temperature reached by the phone while charging is not high , like when you use the phone for normal activities (about 24-25 °C). See yourself the attached image.
I have also try to use another charger (in this case a Sony charger of the Xperia of my wife) which incidentally has the same specs of the original Lg charger: output:5Vdc/0.85A. I expected the same behaviour as with original charger (so with the same issues) but I obtained a correct charge at the end (100%) and no continuos fluctuation from 100% to 95/94% as reported with original charger (check the attached image).
So my conclusion is that there is something that does not work in the original charger. The strange thing is that a lot of us have these problems so I don't' know if this a build problem of the charger or a set of flawed transformers...

I don't know the specs of the charger of Toshiba but you can use any charger which has an output of 5Vdc. The amperage of original L9 charger is 0.85A so if you use a charger with more amperage, you will charge your phone faster with higher temperature for battery, with less amperage the phone will charge slower but with a lower temperature for battery (in general the high temperature is a known enemy of the health of a battery). My tip is that you should use a charger with the specs similar to the original LG charger.
I tried using the USB charger on my laptop instead and I did notice my first 5% of battery drains much slower than before.
The L9 has a good standby life. By running the LG bloatware disable script and disabling specific apps myself, I was able to draw less than 1% on standby with 15 minutes of active screen usage and wireless turned off. With airplane mode turned on at night, the phone can last even longer.
However, the battery drains very fast with active screen use and wireless turned on.
Can you all please post what is your battery's voltage when it is at full charge BEFORE you unplug the charger??
(Most battery software can give you voltage reading. I use battery spy.

Thank you tizfa. This is the same terminal voltage I got in my P769. I can only take it that the reporting is accurate. More than 4.2V will damage li-po battery in no time.

I've had my new HTC Amaze 4G for 4 days now and absolutely love it, what a great phone! The battery life is great (I'm careful with all my settings) and I'm only finding issues with the charging TIME.
It's the second time I've charged it and after noticing how excessively long it took the first time, I clocked it this time and it took 4 hours and 45 minutes. I used a charger that I've used on many other devices with no issues (5 volts 1 amp).
The battery level increases 1% every 3 minutes, which adds up to 5 hours. I calculated this both with the screen on and by averaging out over a longer period of time with the screen off. I also tried with the phone completely off and the results were the same.
I made sure there were no processes hogging up processor time or excessive RAM usage.
When I go into to "Settings -> About Phone -> Battery" Battery status clearly states: Charging (AC).
I have also read somewhere that this can possibly be set this way by design (possibly to prevent the battery from heating or overcharging and saving its life in the long run).
I also realize that the phone is new, and the battery needs a few charges to be settled, but 5 hours to charge on the second charge just seems like too much.
On the HTC product support website, on the faq there is the following question/answer:
How long should it take to charge my battery?
"Your battery can take up to 4 hours to fully charge using the AC charger. It will take much longer using the USB as that is the trickle charge function."
Can anyone out there with an HTC Amaze 4G confirm how long their phone takes to fully charge from the AC charger?
I'm thinking/hoping this is a defective device/battery/setting...I don't like having to wait 5 hours to have my phone fully charged.

Ok, I'd like to add one more thing. I finished charging the phone last night (about midnight), by the time I went to bed (around 2 am), after barely having used it, it was still at 100%, now at 9:30 am (7.5 hours later) the battery level is at 95%. I had everything off and very little background services and apps running. Even the network type, is only set to the basic, no data connection was live/standby.When I check the battery status/histogram this is what I get:
-44% went to Cell Standby
-42% to Phone Idle
-8% Display
-6% Wifi (I think I used it before I went to bed, but turned it off right then, and it remained at 100% battery)
I'm not too happy...this can't be right...it shouldn't take 5 hours to charge and discharge this fast? Can anyone shed some light please?

Yeah that sounds about right. Don't complain man. Your battery life is pretty good compared to other devices. My device takes 3 hours to fully charge and can last 24 hours with minor use. Just charge it when you go to bed and you won't notice the time it takes
My desire hd takes almost as much (Around 3 hours) and my Optimus 3d prolly takes even more (5?) to fully charge from a full discharge...
(With Stock HTC/LG Charger. The HTC's AC Adapter is 5V/1A [Shouldn't that charge a battery in under 1 1/2 hrs?]. Not too sure about the LG)
They take Much longer to charge on Computer/Laptop USB Ports. The Optimus 3d actually loses battery while charging (With screen on) with a USB port.
Also, 5% a night is pretty good. My desire hd goes down 3-5% per night (2g, no data enabled.) or 0-1% with Airplane Mode. (Rooted, Revolution 6.31)
And my optimus 3d pretty much runs out of battery in <100 mins with full brightness while Playing Games - It goes down more than 1% per minute depending on the game being played, especially if 3d Converter is used. This is pretty much the same for all GB/Froyo ROMs.
Just charge it when you go to bed and you won't notice the time it takes

I Agree. Both phones usually last around a day at least for me. You could always try a battery monitor such as GB Battery Stats or watchdog (The CPU One). CPU Intensive applications and Awake time during sleep are usually what cause bad battery life. Faster chargers such as 2A ones should also charge the battery faster, but they might reduce the overall battery life.
I would suggest buying a wall charger and cheap batteries from ebay. They last almost as long as stock batteries and cost only ~$2-4 each. [They apparently explode though. Never happened to me.]

Both phones seem to charge from 0-90% much faster than 91-100% as well. I'm not sure why, since 100-90 wastes just as fast as 90-0. (Charging from 90%-100% battery practically takes a third of the full charging time)

I just finished charging it this morning, and it's FASTER NOW!
Took exactly 2 hours and 37 minutes (Battery Moniter is a great app!).
I think it actually may be due to the phone having some sort of smart charging system which "looks after" the battery. Since the phone is new, it might be wanting to start it off with some slowww charges and gradually speed them up.
But I still have to narrow it down some more since this time I'm actually using the supplied cable and charger (the ones I tried before were also 5V/1A).
The cable I was using (had it for a while now) had a pinch or two, it didn't look that bad, but I'm thinking it could also be the cable (could be shorting)!
I'm gonna do some testing on this cable now and report back my findings!

Ok, so it actually turned out to be the cable. I really feel like a dumb ass...lol. Oh well, at least I figured it out!
So yeah, one good way to see if your cable / charger is good is to use Battery Monitor, and on the main screen where it says your device is charging (AC) and etc..it will also say the actual amperage (in mA) being fed to the battery...that number should be within the 500 to 750 range, if its lower, there is likely something wrong. (Mine was at 16...lol).

My problem was the cable, and it was causing the phone to take five hours to CHARGE, not discharge.
These phones don't hold charge for too long, and the more activity you got going on, the more power it will consume. The screen hogs up the most power, so using the device constantly (especially with high intensity background light) will drain the battery very quick. First smart move would be to set the screen intensity to the lowest setting. Wi-fi and bluetooth, if you're not using them, shut them off. Open your task manager (or get a decent one from the market) and kill all the apps you got running in the background.
Games also require a lot of graphics/processing power, so naturally they will drain a lot of battery too.
Edit: There are some special cases where it could also be related to your network or even simply coverage zones exposed to the device. If it's stuck in a zone where it has weak 4g and 3g signals, it will keep bouncing back and forth causing more drain than normal on the battery as well.
If you've taken all these things into account, then you may have a defective device, then you will want to setup an RMA...or just take it back wherever you bought it and ask to exchange.

My skyrocket takes about 3.5 hours to charge from 10% to full charge. If I plugged it in the car charger and run google map with the radio on the background, it would slowly drain the battery even though it was plugged in. My iphone 4 did not do this. It charges very fast and does not drain the battery even when I had several apps running in the background. I think the skyrocket consumes more power whether it is plugged in or not.

Hi, what you need is a charger with a higher amperage rating than 500mA (or 0.5A). Buy a charger that is rated for 5V/1Amp like this one and your problems should go away.
The phone is basically "burning" more energy than it is receiving from the USB charger, hence the discharge.
To know the amperage rating of your charger look on the label for numbers that look like "5V/500mA"...

Most illegal threads are trying to move from Mexico.
But, you need a charging source more powerful then the base 500ma, (or whatever that term of measurement is) computers are only supposed to supply 500ma to a USB port so AC adapters are typically better for charging. But feel free to follow the post above and check the rating on the charger.

i just got my amaze, and i have auto sync off and screen on dim and it still takes for everrrrrrr to charge.. ive used a few different chargers and cords but i just got the phone so maybe after a few charges it will speed up? not sure my mytouch 4g never took this long although it would get verrrry hot

Well the amaze does have a hefty battery, mine is charging a bit faster than when I first had it

Make sure to use the original charger and cable that was supplied to you by T-Mobile/HTC
I noticed the 12-pin cable is faster than the 5-pin.

Sounds about right. If you want better battery life either root it or buy another battery.
To get really good battery life ?...you got the wrong phone man.

unplugged my phone at 8 read xda forum for 5 mins got to work right now 943 already at 89 percent. Does this seem normal? I been checking better battery stats but don't really understand it. I feel like something is trying to sync. i have fetch off for email and Facebook. anyway to diagnose this on saurom rc4 clean boot.

Are you overclocked? If you are, which governor are you using? I've posted in the OC kernel thread about an issue where the CPU is running at max frequency the entire time causing a huge battery drain.
I am right now but its showing me deep sleep and 192mhz on demond has a big percentage. Its not running max clocked i know that.

I think I know what the problem is: Your phone is trying to kill itself and save humanity from that terrible font
seems like a bit much but it could be normal.
Once your phone's charge reaches 100% it stops charging to prevent damage to the Lithium-ion battery. I am not sure however when it starts charging again.
Mine charge % dips even when I am using plugged in! Horrible consumption with screen on.

Are you using the Samsung OEM home charger? It shouldn't be dipping when using that one. Mine will charge AND increase while using it in the car with GPS running (huge battery drainer) and a driving DVR program (DailyRoads Voyager) and the screen on. All with a car charger and cheater plug that shorts Pin 2&3. That's the secret to getting rapid charge to work. The OEM home charger has those pins shorted internally. If you are trying to charge over USB on your computer then again you need that cheater plug and ensure the USB port can support more than 700 mA. If it's a USB 3.0 port then it should handle that current.
No problems for me on the stock or aftermarket chargers with the screen on.
I have the same problem with my brand new I717 GN. Battery level slowly drops when on charge, even if it's the OEM wall adapter. I've tried my Kindle USB cables as well with about the same results. I noticed the charge is a bit stronger from the wall source, but still can't keep up with even simple web browsing via WiFi. I've installed JuiceDefender as well, and it's helped reduce depletion a bit, but not really enough. This phone would never last me a full day of intermittent use without a power source.
I've read several of these threads and there doesn't really seem to be a solid solution to this other than some GN owners saying they have the problem and some don't...
Someone mentioned a crosswired 'Smart Adapter Compatible with Samsung Galaxy S' on Amazon (I'm too new and can't post the link)... I might try that but maybe I'll return for a new one if some people don't have this battery problem, unless it turns out to be a latest firmware problem..?

I read an article in a journal recently about how smartphones charge their batteries. The article claimed that once the charge has reached 100%, it will stop providing current to the device until it reaches 90%, after which it will then trickle charge to maintain it at about 90%. All the while the battery meter will still show 100% (at least in the case of iPhones), but after you unplug the phone the first 10% will go rather quickly as it approaches the real charge level.
True for our notes? No idea. But with how Lithium batteries work, I wouldn't be surprised.
I haven't gotten my Note to discharge while plugged in with the OEM AC charger. In the car however, running Waze will suck the life out of it even while charging. (My car charger puts out about 150mA less than the OEM AC charger). Oddly enough, running Navigon on battery alone has less discharge than running Waze while plugged in...Which sucks, because while Waze has crappy directions, it has saved me many hours by routing around traffic. But at least the phone still charges while using Navigon and streaming some Pandora.

2) touch your charger and if it still hot, don't unplug it
3) you can unplug your charger when it is became cold, on my case, it could took around 15-20 minutes later
See for your self, if it could improve your battery life. For me, it is like having a 110% battery capacity.

May be, ... or may be not. There are several tech to charge Lipo battery, and we don't know which tech used in G2.

Yeah, I got it. i saw when i charged my LG G2 over the night, tomorrow its battery decreased very slowly. But sometime i charged it around 9x%, the battery decreased so fast @@

I'm doing this since still using G Pro,
100 to 99 = Insane
99 - 98 = At least better than normal
98 - 0 = Normal
I use Android Tuner, you can see what your actual charge voltage is and track when it really is full before you unplug.

i just leave my charger plugged in. when i go to bed, i plug it in, and 6-7 hours later i unplug it. it trickle charges when it gets to 100% anyway. meaning the charge goes down a little and goes back up a little. yes, i guess this wastes more electricity but it is so minor. also the G2 has a capability that when fully charged at 100%, the voltage of the battery is different, so the battery lasts longer at the 100% mark. once it hits 99%, battery life starts to drop at a normal rate. i read about this in another post on xda, forgot where. it used to take me 25 minutes of watching an HD mkv file at max brightness on mx player to drop from 100 to 99. nowadays it takes 20 minutes.
The best results will be if you charge the phone from PC usb port,charge it at night and take it in the morning.

But this is true ^. LOL @woof123, a slow charge doesn't change a thing with these batteries. Fast charge doesn't even get hot enough to be detrimental. The top 1% idea is indeed true. I'm gonna make a slim refillable liquid nitrogen cartridge to place over battery. Win.
Im not talking about battery degration from fast charging,by charging my phone over the usb i noticed that it lasts longer vs the charger.

With these non removable batteries, I'm more concerned with ensuring that I don't harm the battery. I was reading that leaving it charging past 100 percent might shorten its life span. I've been using. Battery full notifier to avoid doing that.

The general behavior of charging batteries like these is that the first 80% of the actual battery capacity gets charged very quickly (usually takes 1-3 hours) then the last 20% of the battery trickle charges (this also takes another 1-3 hours). I think what's happening here is that the phone itself only reports the first 80% of the actual battery capacity because that's the part that charges quickly, and anything over what the phone reports as "100%" is the last 20% of the actual battery capacity trickle charging.
As for any harm this could bring to the battery, batteries like the one in the LG G2 last longer if you avoid deep discharges (e.g. charging to 100% from 50% at the end of the day versus charging to 100% from 0% after every two days), but it might not even matter since LG Chem's higher end batteries tend to be rated for at least 800 full charge cycles (last year's average smartphones were rated for ~500), which covers over two years of very decent battery performance even if you were to charge from 0 to 100+% battery every day. Even if you use up all these charge cycles, you're still going to be left with ~70-80% battery capacity of the phone you initially bought.
A side note from all this is that any anecdotes of long battery life (where the initial battery percentage reported was 100%) is generally unreliable because it's not conveniently possible to know how much over "100%" the phone's battery has been trickle charged.
My battery life is ridiculously good on this phone anyways...

It's true, 100-99% yields insane use time, but only if you use an app like Battery Monitor Widget to let you know when the battery has stopped accepting power (+0 mA, voltage ~ 4370 mV). It is also true though that this reduces overall battery health a little (it might become noticeable if you do this all the time).
And btw, charging overnight is a very bad idea.

when the tablet was in the charger with 1000 mAh and my GF was playing plant vs zombies 2, it was not enough and was dead in 2 hours. So I put there the official charger 1500 mAh but then still it was not enough and was dead again.
Right now I tried to turn off the Location, Wi-Fi and she is playing. But is this normal??? Jesus you should be able to play with all the functions turned on and in the charger, not???
Edit: so it was emptied again even with everything off...
Edit2: i will try the origin cable because I used a different one

Did it show the charging icon while she was playing the game? I'm curious if it might be plugged but not recognizing that it should be drawing power from the charger...
Because charging cables are differently wired, you MUST either use the original cable or a cable which is definitely known to have the same wiring as the original one.

Differently wired how? I didn't realize there were wiring differences, please elaborate if you can, feel free to get technical.
I tried plugging my Z2 Tablet into a USB cable from a powered hub (computer off though), which I've used to charge my phone and my Kindle, and I know it wouldn't have much power, but it wouldn't charge at all, no charging icon, nothing. I've had no trouble charging it with a dedicated charger though.

1. the charging icon is there
2. I even logged the history and during playing the plant vs zombies 2, the power is oscilating around +- the same level but still going down slowly as a trend
3. I tried today to get the power back to 25% and now I am charging it. I have the battery widget where it shows getting mA about 390 to 890 maximum. But even it is the original charger, original cable and the charger is 1500 mA it seems that the maximum level is 890???
Can someone else try Batter monitor widget what they get from it???

It sucks. It announced even today DURING charging from the original charger and cable that the charging is not strong enough. Wtf?

Ha, that is really funny. I am from the Czech Republic and called the Sony support. They forwarded me to Xperia support. At Xperia support the girl said that she cannot provide me exact information because official release date here is 8th of April so she doesnt have the manuals etc.
Then my type is 511E3 which she again was absolutely no aware what is the type because I should have 621 or maybe 521 but not 511.
So I can try the support line next week with the question how many mA should go to the tablet during charging.
But what she said was also that the charging time could be up to 6:20. But more than 6 hours? Maybe it was about the Z1 model? And also told me that playing games with the charger will still result in draining the battery.
I need some other guys here who can test it with playing some games and check the mA during charging...

And have you tried to charge it during heavy playing of some game? Which game, how long?
Can you test how much mA are you getting from the charger inside the tablet (battery monitor widget can do this)
I tried it yesterday playing "The Cave" for about 1 hour. Tablet was charging using a four port no name charger and a different cable the that the one provided.
I did not really check for anything , I just noticed the tablet got mildly hot.
I did not measure the current while playing, but I did earlier this week-end though.
I tested 3 chargers plus the provided one. A Galaxy S III charger, An ASUS TF300 and the 4-port no-name I used yesterday.
If I recall correctly I got around 0.9A from the GS3 and original charger and around 1.2A from the TF300 and 4-port ones.
I do some more thorough testing and let you know. I use a device on the charger output to measure how much current is coming through.
How long do you guys charge the tablet? I started with about 19% and to full 100% it was like 7-8 hours. It was turned on without wifi (stamina mode). I will try to charge it while turned off but still it is strange...
I dont know. Battery life is ok but the charging sucks for me. Any ideas if it is just me?

Yawn... Please use the charger and the cable which come with the device (which I bet my grandma on you didn't)! Other chargers or cable have either too low current or wrong wiring (which disables fast charging) or both.
The charging time over USB is 4-5 hours, like the first generation Tablet Z.

Its not about charger. Or maybe it is. I want to know exactly how many mA are going to the tablet during charging. Nobody was able to give me the answer.It could be faulty charger, faulty cable, messy apps in the tablet (which I doubt) or whatever.
And Sony support, Xperia support is not able to give me clear answer to this. And also another guy in a review had similar problem. If we are in a Z2 Tablet topic then I supose that this is the right place to ask such questions... Not?
You can't just do 6600 divided by 1500. You are losing current all over the place when charging. It will probably be at least 50% wastage in heat, resistance in the wires etc etc. Also, the charger may say it does 1500, but that is peak when it's brand new under perfect conditions and the internal components will age and become less efficient over time too.
If you are using the tablet for a game, it will be running the processor at max power and drawing lots of current and all the heat it generates from the cpu and the battery during this time is wasted energy don't forget. If you want to battery to charge, you will need a charger that provides enough current to power the tablet and another 1000ma or so on top of that to charge your battery.
I bet Sony will state somewhere that you can only use it for low power activities like watching videos while on the dock if you want the battery to charge.

So it just means that in general with the original charger you are able to get to 10-13% per hour. So in average usage 9 hours of charging, heh. I saw yesterday (have to check it at home) that I had also around 20% per hour.
But in general these figures are normal and the usage of a battery with a little bit more heavy tasks is not very good. And charging can take a LONG time. I tried to charge it while turned off and I think you can get there below 6 hours.

mm.after read all of reply above, it is quite weird that only get 800mah while using 1500mah support charging cable? Maybe can try better quality of cable and also the power source, it is very crucial to get that. I have try some trial and error with different cables and charging with my galaxy s3, i find that with good quality of cable, i managed to get 1000mah max , but if using with cheap cable or power bank, i only managed to get 400-800mah. even after a long time using the original s3 cable, it will reduce to only 600mah. So my advice is try charging with different cable and find the best cable to charge ur device, if it is 1500mah supported, so i think it should be support to 1500mah. Thank you.

No, it is not weird at all since the tests were done with the screen turned ON, draining half the power.
The first line, battery only, tells you how much the screen and semi idle state is draining, with brightness at minimum. Cranking brightness up to maximum increased an extra 2.5% per hour drain if I recall correctly.
Charging with screen off would be about 20% per hour, or 5 hours to fully recharge. More or less in line with what people is reporting.

So, 721+719= 1440 (+21%/h), pretty close to the rated 1500 for the charger.
I was interested in seeing what my charge times were using the official charger and cable so using accubattery i checked the charge logs ranging from 10-40% to 100% and they were longer than what the guidelines stated. Phone did state that supercharging was active, had two thunderbolts on battery as well as the bubble animation (i wish this could stay on permanent )
When i bought the phone, charging from 20% to 100% took 1h 50m
and then in about a months time...
Charging from 10% to 100% took 2h 34m
Charging from 32% to 100% took 2h 11m
These were all with screen off, do not disturb turned on and wifi on. The charging time is not THAT big of a deal as i'm always charging it at night but i'd like to actually recieve the speeds that were promised. Using ampere i never saw the current surpassing 2000mah sub 10% (i don't expect it to supercharge as the battery is nearly getting to 100% in order to prolong the longevity of the battery) and they would fluctuate down to 600-700mah a lot of the time.
So i contacted huawei support and the advisor agreed that the charge times i told him were longer than they should be so i've sent my charger (along with the cable) for repair. It's currently at their repair centre so i've not had a diagnosis yet on what the problem is, it could be the phone having issues for all i know!
I wanted to know if anyone else has been keeping stats on their charge times and whether you are getting times similar to me or slower/faster, would be interested to hear!

Difficult to say if there's any hardware issues, the repair centre will find it if there is one though.
Your charging times do seem a little high but its also difficult to compare a new phone to one that's been in use for a while, as there will be more apps running and drawing power etc than on a clean phone. Over 90% charge the charging rate will drop as you said, but that's not the only thing to affect it, temperature has a big impact...hotter charges slower.
Measuring mAh on the phone is therefore only a guide and shouldn't be used to prove slow charging etc. (e.g. if I have my satnav app, bluetooth & mobile data all on, then even using my supercharger, the charging rate shown by the phone sometimes drops to under 400mAh and even into negative figures if the phone is hot)
0% to 100% should be about 90mins in perfect conditions, but I'd be surprised if anyone got regularly near that sort of timing.
Got my charger back 2 days ago and today i deliberatly ran my battery down to 9% to see how charging would go. For the first time since recieving my charger back i've gotten a steady 4000mah. 9% to 72% (+2400mah) took 55m which is much better than the 2hours+ it took last time to get a +2600mah charge before. So yeah, if you're noticing similar speeds, contact huawei and see if you can send it in!
Mine charges from 18% to 100% in just an hour and 10 minutes.
