Hey guys,
Having a nightmare atm.
Installed Omega v40 and now have no call sound. Also during a call, after about 20 seconds, I lose service.
I have wiped cache, dalvik and fixed permissions. I have re installed rom and tried 3 different kernels, and 3 different modems. Still no joy.
I then did a full wipe in aroma and reinstalled v40, didn't work.
Then used mega wipe and and flashed v40, even that didn't work.
As a last resort, I installed a nandroid backup from 3 months ago, still no luck!
Am I screwed?
Please help.
I'm in the UK and on orange/ee.
Try a different modem and ril, I'm on EE/Orange and I use XXELL4 without problem
Thanks for the reply mate, just tried installing that modem. No luck.
Do I have to wipe anything, or fix permissions after flashing a new modem?

Try matching RIL using GetRIL from Play Store. If it shows not matched, download and install matching RIL. Good luck!

Hey oomahey, thanks for the reply.
Tried get ril before, but its a little out of date.
Wondering if my csc is the problem.
I9300olbema1. This ok for the UK?
I can sometimes make and receive calls, so im guessing it cant be hardware.

Have you checked/asked in the threads relating to the specific rom(s) you're (which you haven't mentioned. That's OK tho, we can read minds) if anyone has had issues like you're having/if this a specific bug/issue with that rom ?
Just a thought...
Yup asked in the OMEGA ROM where the first time this appeared dev said he don't know what's wrong after that other ROMs from Android development same bug. I always clean installs new ROM so tried that also

bad wifi module
I have similar problem on I5700 (galaxy spica). In service center they told me that wifi module was bad and colapsed. they exchange him and everything is okay. Did you try factory reset and flash with original rom?
no long time since i flashed stock ROM
looks like have to face it btw everything else working with wifi is good
I was not getting any network with i9300XXELLA so I´ve flashed with odin I9300UBDLJ2_I9300VILI1_I9300ZVVDLJ1_HOME.tar (which is supposed to be the ROM for Brazil, and carries Vivo). Now I´m stuck on the Samsung logo. Any thoughts?
you can try doing a factory reset.
You didn't answer in that thread, did your IMEI match the one on the box?

Enter recovery, wipe data, reboot. If it doesn't work, flash another rom.

That is what I´m about to do....all roms seem to work great...except for this network thing
it's also written under the battery.
If it doesn't match, you'll need to take it to samsung

The first rom that came on the phone allowed me to make calls. I just flashed another rom because the first rom would not let me update. The thing is that now I don´t remember which was the first rom.
Have you wiped?

Any stock rom should work, try a wipe as suggested.
Are your imei and serial numbers correct?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I´ve already tried 3 different stock roms and no luck.
I´ve removed the batt and it looks like a label used to be there but it was pealed off so I cannot tell that the serial or imei are...
Do you think maybe a custom rom would make any difference?
So you don't want to wipe or what?
I did wipe.
Are you sure you have a i9300? Have to double check.

That´s what it says on the device´s properties.
What´s weird is that it was working with the first custom rom. I remember it had some t-mobile on it...so I´m not sure what´s what.
You still need to check if the IMEI is correct though.

I don´t have the box and it´s not under the battery. I don´t know how else can I find out if the imei is correct...

No I guess I´m out of luck and will probably have to try 300 roms until I find out which one works...
have you tried the patch?
Hey guys,
I have been running the last build of Paranoid Android until today. My speaker sound suddenly stopped working yesterday. I updated the kernel (to Feb 10. 2013) thinking maybe something broke but even that doesnt seem to have helped!
I need help! I keep missing all my calls, messages .. :crying:

Help me please! Pretty please? :crying:

Hi, unfortunately im new user, so i cant ask that in AOKP thread (i dont have 10 posts), therefore ill ask here:
My problem is when someone calls me i get 'com.android.phone has stopped' message and i cannot answer the call.
I have wiped cache and dalvik, but it was still happening, so i did it again and fixed permissions --> nothing worked.
Then ive deleted rom, did a factory reset and flashed rom again. I'm still having this problem.
Can anyone help me?

try flashing another rom ? and see if some problem exists. or even try just going to stock and see. could be problem in the rom so you might want to report it. also could be problem in the flash. example a bad flash. then see what happens

I have S3 GT-I9300 4.3 JB.
Last night my phone was working. I didn't even do anything. Suddenly I lost my network signals. I checked my IMEI and it was 004999 I don't know what I am supposed to do. I have tried many solutions available on xda but none worked!

A list of what you have tried so far would be helpful otherwise you will get loads of answers suggesting things you have already tried.

No need if you have tried the following
(1) efs restore
(2) flash stock with Odin
(3) Patched modem and kernel
Then it is service repair.
