[Q] Lock dialer in RAM - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

I'm using CM10 rom+kernel nightly and I want to have a fast loading time of the dialer.
I've looked in the forums but no solution was helpful. I tried pimp my rom and also supercharger script that someone said you can "bulletproof" apps in memory but I didn't find that in the scripts menu.
So, if anyone knows how I can lock the dialer in memory so it will load faster please let me know :fingers-crossed:

You can. Lock it with build.prop

Thanks. I'm not able to file a semcphone process running in the system, to my understanding from reading XDA that's the process I need to lock into ram. Could it be that it doesn't exist in CM10? From adb shell I ran "top", opened the dialer, and didn't see SEMCPHONE.

[Request] Reboot Menu in default theme for stock 2.1.1.A.0.6

Hi!
I am trying to put everything I like on a stock 2.1.1.A.0.6 rom.
I done some usual tweaks in Stock rom:
- Rooted
- xRecovery
- JIT
- dualtouch
- undervolted
- hacked market
- removed junk apk
- added my own favorite apk
The only thing I see in other custom ROMs that I would like to have but i dont find, is that Reboot Menu, on Power Menu.
How can that be done?
I searched and found it used in many roms, but I did not found out how to do it.
Tks in advance
EDIT: I have just changed topic name. I would like to know if anyone can send me default framework with reboot options.
Themes and apps section has is in I believe
Sent from my U20i using XDA App
Yes, I use the black htc theme with my mini pro and it has the reboot option.
I did not find the 2.1.a.0.6 default theme with reboot menu.
I could do it myself. I just need to be pointed in the right way
tks for your replies
i would also add speed tweak for sd card
+1 to this. I would also want to know how to do this. I'm guessing it has to do with a modded framework_res.apk?

and what hack is that?
could you link me on the correct topic?
EDIT: What else could I do to my stock ROM? I like to do it myself
And what are the battery improvements that are supposed to be done in custom ROMs?
EDIT2: Found this topic. Looks hard enough!

Thanks! I've been looking for a thread like that! You could go about learning this by comparing the stock ROM framework_res.apk with the custom ROM's. I've been using apk_manager [link] for a while now, and it's actually quite easy to use. Learned a lot in the process also.
I have changed the topic to make this a Request:
Anyone has the framework needed to 2.1.1.A.0.6 with reboot menu?
Tks.

While no one has sent you that, I just remembered, there are a couple of widgets that can do this like SwitchPro Widget (I remember using this on the stock ROM to reboot).

I have SwitchPro installed but It does not have hability to reboot to xrecovery
Oops. My bad. Thought you just wanted reboot and not reboot to xrec.
I might just add that I personally wouldn't really enjoy using a workaround.
What I mean by this is that it would be amazing if the menu opened by the power button would have more options like on custom ROMs, such as
Power Off
Reboot
Reboot to xRecovery
Anyone could do this please. Who usually makes themes to custon roms?

V6 Superch. wont work at .62

Hi Guys,
its a little bit strange..
i want to install v6 supercharger on .62 firmware in Rood Mode with Busybox 1.18.2 and Script manager like in the how-to.
Ive read v6 is with every phone compatible.
When i activated them on .62 and reboot my phone it stocks on doomlords kernel logo and after few miniutes i have a blackscreen!
so, what iv done wrong?
Can you help me?
edit // Sorry for posting this in dev section when its wrong...
It's almost IMPOSSIBLE to mess up with Supercharger so much that you break your phone so I'm sure you did everything right.
If it doesn't work with .62 so it just does not work (yeah, thanks captain Obvious xD) and you have to wait for the fix.
There was a similar problem with RC5.1 and xperia phones when they hanged up before bootanimation after applying any fix and SuperClean-ing.
Currently I'm using RC5.2 and everything is ok. I wanted to switch to RC6 but suddenly read that it causes problems again and again with xperias.
EDIT: I've also read that there are some problems with RC6 and changing some values in build.prop/local.prop and with some tweaks so it means that SuperCharger was not working 100% and wasn't applying launcher tweak.

thanks .. can you give me the link for rc5.2 i found only a link for rc4

As a small tip: I'm not fond of Script Manager, so I modified the .txt file (be simply changing the extension) to a .sh file. In Terminal Emulator I do the following:
su
cd sdcard
sh v6.sh (renamed the file)
The script will run the exact same as you would Script Manager. No need to reboot if you've already applied the changes the first time around.
I can't seem to get this to stick after a reboot
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
You cant see the changes after reboot.
To see it you have to run the .sh script in script manager or whatever again!

Correct. I never turn off my phone which is why I never bothered with Script Manager. Probably something I should have added in my earlier tidbit.

Mega RAM was made for phones that have 512MB of RAM and above.

I think when I first started to use V6 I was using the generic '6' setting, but after a while switched between '8' and '9' (both had around equal performance difference for me).
Never tried the aggressive settings myself...

The best way for anyone to help you get to where you want to be is for us to know for sure where exactly you are
I agree your best bet is to switch to Task 14 and if that happens to be your custom ROM already there are more steps to help you get rid of the lag than just the ROM.
If you can't figure which custom ROM you're on, it would be best, IMHO, to start by going to the development section and Task 14 thread.
Hope this helps.

i just realized i have galaxy task, but not sure of the version....how can i check?
also, what else could i do to get rid of the lag?
settings, about
flash pershoot's kernel if you dont already have it and overclock to 1.2 or 1.4 Ghz
install another launcher
It says
galaxy task 14 slim
And kernel says 2.6.36.3 [email protected] #1
So how do I do all that stuff...can someone give me a quick step by step?
I just downloaded CPU master and set it to on demand but the maximum it goes is 1000.....and so far I haven't noticed Any speed improvements
You need pershoot's kernel in the dev section.

Get yourself ADW launcher
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk
ADW Launcher helped with laggy tab for me in the beginning
you should give it a try and once you are familair with your tab and rom then use tasks rom and other kernel
I'd there a free way to get the launcher ?
GO Launcher
That's awesome....but I still haven't noticed much of a speedup...I thought I already had Pershore kernel since I have the numbers of my kernel as 2.6.36.3....but I'll look in Dev part

Use kang ics rom. Task is the fastest honey comb rom, if that's slow to you, ics is the only solution
Check whether urs is wifi or 3g model. Don't flash the wrong one.

but I thought ICS made the camera not work...did they fix those bugs??
Nope but it isn't laggy.
lol...ok.... how about just doing the kernel then...i have downloaded it but don't understand pershoot's lingo....
"To install kernel modules:
Use Winrar (windows) or tar with the z option and unpack lib-2636.4.tar.gz
Push any module you desire to /data/local/modules (this is created by the update.zip)
Then, insmod it (you can do this via adb, in a gscript, or on the device in terminal."
I have unzipped it and have the lib folder and more stuff inside...how where do I put it? I can't find the data/local/modules...only data folder and then only .com stuff is in there
I tried running update.zip...from recovery mode but installation was aborted because it coudln't find the file or directory....where can I get it? looks like this update.zip is supposed to create the needed folders
ok...now i have just created those folders and added themodules but I can't insmod them through the adb shell..I can't even see them in the folder I put them in...only the 2.6.36.4-cyanogenmod+ but that wont "insmod"

Any performance init.d scripts?

Hello
I've just got a 101 G9 Turbo and just SDE/rooted it, but there seems to be little in the way of performance tweaks.
I've got an LG Optimus 2X phone and theres all sorts of tweaks in the init.d folder and was woundering if theres anything we can do to the G9 to give a bit more performance?
Something like this?? - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1730872&highlight=dalvik
Will the above work on the G9?
Most of the tweaks in general android section should work. Personally i prefer using Supercharger, which works fine for me. I do not see reason why the tweak you posted wouldn't work, if the system supports it. If there are problems with the script starting, use script manager to run it on boot.

Do you have a link for supercharger? Did you apply the it your self or was it already in the rom? Which Rom are you using?
Sorry for all the questions

I'm using 4.0.7 rooted & deodexed. I applyed it myself. I didn't get whole 100% supercharge, so I had to use script manager to start supercharger script on boot.

Cheers julle131, just seen the ultimate guide link in your signature...
...the problem I always have with tutorials is they tell you how to install/do stuff but not why you should i.e. the benefits.
I'll try the supercharger tonight, I'm using go launcher HD, is that the one that everyone recommends, I use the normal go launcher ex on my phone that why I used the HD version.

THX Bro! I use xperia s dialer and your script works, but some times i have lags.
Massaging? Wow! Welcome to the World of Cybersex!
It's not quite clear to me how this script does anything at all unless the various LOCK_APP_* environment variables it uses have been set before. Where are these defined?

It says put it in init.d folder if you have kernel with init.d support or set it to run at boot (with script manager that is)
Don't double post, use the time waiting for an answer to search.
Btw i'm not very convinced by the contents of this script...Might as well run supercharger by zepp and bulletproof those apps...
