Should I replace galaxy s2 with the galaxy note n7000? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am so confused to whether go for the galaxy note because of it's enormous screen but
according to others on web galaxy note is a bit slower/laggy than the galaxy s2.
Some people on a forum said that this lag is due to its GPU because it has to handle a lot of pixels
what should be your suggestion..........?
Thanks for reading please reply as well

Go and post in N7000 sure you'll get a lot of replies

gnote is horrible laggy compared to s2 (CM10.1), i just flashed a linaro build -03 optimization w/e on a friend's note(CM10.1) =P
but ram is always around 400~500mb, and the gpu has a lot of work to do for that big screen, it might not be that bad

So according to you I should stay on galaxy s2.

Correcto.
Sent from the little guy

go ahead the devices are identical besides the screen
yeah its a tad slower because of the higher pixel screen but the S pen makes up for the lost performance

What about switching to htc one x? Or stick to samsung and look for any other model.

Galaxy S2 still good?

I'm thinking of upgrading my Nexus S, would the S2 be a good upgrade? I really don't care about bleeding edge stuff, I just want it to play the games I want it to and last the whole day (which shouldn't be a problem since I'm buying the extended battery) texting and such.
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk 2
Yes. I can get 20+ hours on a charge, stock battery, stock rooted. I bought a galaxy nexus and couldn't play many games that I bought. Wimax will be around for a while and by the time you get bored with the s2, chances are that lte still won't be around in many areas. I'm only twenty minutes south of Boston and am not expecting sprint lte at the house...ever.

Yea it's still good. Can play all the games on the store. Can get up to 10 hrs screen time with the 2000mah battery apparently. I would consider the S3 though. At least look into it

Well, I live in Sweden (the first country that got LTE) and all the major cities and surrounding areas already have LTE coverage, but I don't care much for LTE since it drains battery like hell ATM. And our 3G is really fast compared to your 4G and probably Wimax/LTE too.

This phone (i9100) doesn't get WiMax.
EDIT: Also, this phone (which is GSM) doesn't work on Sprint. (a CDMA network)
(not that this matters to the OP....)

The S3 is really expensive compared to the S2, and I feel like it's a waste of money on benchmark performance.

Yea but it's quad core. It's future proof like the s2 was when it came out.. Thats why it has similar specs to the s2

Using the app, didn't realize the op was in Sweden. Regardless, I have the s2 and will more than likely be skipping the s3 cause it's not a huge upgrade here in the states(and it knows when I'm looking at it) and waiting to see what the next nexus offers

I tend to keep phones 'til they're obsolete so future proofing shouldn't be a problem.
Also, I think that quad core just adds to benchmarks, and real world use stays pretty much the same. The difference is minimal, with the dual core just being slightly slower in some transitions and actions.

There hasn't been anything that I couldn't do on the s2 so far. To me, the only reason to consider the s3 would be the new screen
Just upgraded from Nexus one to sgs2. Loving it. Feel like a huge upgrade. Sgs3 prob nice but money talk.

Razr Not Bad At All

So guys i was surfing through youtube, and then I came across this on youtube, Razr vs S3.
Now we all know Razr is no competition for S3 but after watching this video aI am very proud of My Razr and I am sure you all will be .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25xL34ybAfk&feature=plcp
The Galaxy S3 didn't shine in my eyes so Razr It is.
Samsung galaxy collection always sucked and will suck.
Razr for the win.

Dan: I disagree. I had the sgs1 and the support on here and other sites was huge. And the ability of the device was good also. The fact that nexus s will be getting 4.1 means the sgs1 will probably get a port. The sgs2 and 3 are evolutions of the original and although the samsung build quality isn't as good as moto, they are still great devices.

RAZR looks better. that, for me, is good enough.
edit: but, boy, that live wallpaper must've sucked a bit of battery juice, doesn't it?
I owned the Vibrant and the SGS4g and they were both slow as hell. I know the S2.and S3 are much better, but for me my Maxx us the best phone I have ever owned.

My galaxy isn't as good as it could get

Hello, after a month of use and after I viewed other galaxy s3 phones have come to the conclusion that mine is not well. It has much more lag and it's performance while playing games is awful. My question is, do you think that Samsung technical service will accept this and repair it or will they say that it is just my perception of the phone?
thank you
