Rico, why not root it using the methods given in the wiki? SuperOneClick doesn't work all the time on the Streaks.

Hi guys,
I rooted my Mini Pro shortly after the root was released. As I'm sure you're aware, SE have release an updated firmware. I've tried to update to it but I can't due to my phone being rooted.
I've tried to unroot my phone in many different ways. Using the SEPCC Repair method I get an error about the download and to try again later, I've tried this many times but none have been successful. I've also tried using the SEUS method, but it tells me that my phone is up-to-date.
I heard that I could flash a fresh ROM onto the device via Omnius, resulting in a fresh, unrooted ROM, but the download does not work for me at the minute, and I think I've missed the 'all features are free' period anyway, so that's that method out the window.
Does anyone have any other ideas as to how I could unroot my phone? I think I've tried almost everything but your input would still be much appreciated.
Thanks.
There is always DaVinci, its 10 Euro but it works. I had to do it after getting mine stuck on the "Sony Ericsson" boot screen after messing about with framework.apk.
Worked perfectly mate, cheers

on davinci i can't find mini pro on the list????
There's only Mini on the list, I was a bit wary about choosing it as I was afraid the physical keyboard would stop working or something, but everything worked out fine for my Mini Pro.
You can use 'repair' in SUSE... and thats for free

As I already said, the SEUS method didn't work. But it's all sorted now.

every phone is repaired by PC comparsion , if fail , try diferent PC ...
It looks like you tried UPDATE with SEUS, and of course, no new update = fail. But if you look little bit closer you should get an 'repair' option also...

Cant say anything with the amount of information you provided..
May be try SuperOneClick root this time..
I downloaded the Androot from web and installed. Then I opened and it finished rooting. SO first time i rebooted phone it did loop 3 to 4 times but came on and next day I rebooted again to find out if it goes in to loop mode and it just kept looing for like 12 to 14 times and never turned on fully so i had to flash the phone using SE Companion repair utility.
It is Mini Pro AND has 1.2.A.1.183 with 2.6.29 Kernel and 1.6 firmware

If you are using 1.6, try using exploid method.. May be something went wrong during the root process. Still cant say anything conclusive.
First of all, I suggest you to update your phone to Version 2.1-update1.
Afterwards use SuperOneClick to gain Root Access.

Hello, and thanks for the instructions. However, it seems DELL has taken the file down as I am not able to download it using this link. In case you still have it, can you please upload it somewhere?
EDIT: Nevermind, it's working now.
I've done, but follow this special version for Froyo 2.2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913709
USB Debugging = ON
using SuperOneClick v1.6.1 or later always stuck on "Reading OS Version Properties..."

Tried and failed
I tried to root my dell venue using the mentioned steps and all I kept seeing on Superoneclick was "Waiting for Device....."
What should I do now..... the device is connecting in all other ways to the PC.
I can use Dell sync and I can use the USB mode to transfer data.
What settings should I put on the phone?
Should I use USB Debugging?
Should I keep the Data connected?
Looking forward to your valuable inputs.
Thanks in advance for the help.

use z4root one touck to root and unroot your phone (link below)

Z4root doesn't work on my x10 Mini Pro.
I've just reflashed it using SEUS, which gave me 2.1.1.A.0.6. Downloaded and installed z4root, ran it, the app did its thing, gave no error messages and...my phone still isn't rooted.
I've just done a quick bit of Googling and it looks like z4root isn't compatible with this build. As far as I can tell, there isn't anyway to root your phone, if this is the build you're on, without using a PC. Maybe it's worth trying to borrow a friend's for a few minutes? Or sneaking down to an internet cafe and hoping that they haven't disabled the USB ports..
I'm thinking of rooting my x10mp which runs Android 2.1-update1 (that's what the Firware version shows).
I've come across a few apps for rooting like z4root and easy one click.
Which app is the easiest to use AND safest?.
TIA,
Mike
SuperoneClick is easy to use and it can definitely root our mini with success! After 2.1update-1 z4root stopped working for my mini so i rooted with superoneclick!
And both are safest way!!!!!!!!

jodhaniohm97 is absolutely right. Superoneclick is definitely the way to go. It's fast, simple and doesn't cause any problems.
Agree, Superoneclick is the best

Thanks all for the replies.
After someone wrote a script for our phones so it can install CWM and root our phones using superoneclick, everything was made easy.
why worry about any other s/w to use in the phone. You have all in one rooting technique to do things.
So, verdict? Superoneclick. Go for it bro!
Superoneclick & CWM installer
i dont see any working rooting software other than superoneclick.
I've tried both z4root & superoneclick, and neither successfully rooted my phone.
z4root just stops during the process, while superoneclick hangs after showing "strep 3: something" in the status window.

if you could post the screenshot of the problem or atleast be accurate of the problem maybe we can give inputs.
Thanks for suggesting.
A screenshot of the superoneclick window is:

Nothing happened beyond "Step 3".
TIA.
are you using win7? try running superoneclick as an administrator. also check if usb debugging is on. and when rooting dont mount the sd card.
sorry if i may not be of much help.
This is what finally worked for me:
Windows 7->right click on "superoneclick.exe"->run as admin.
on phone->enable usb debugging, connect phone in "charge phone" mode
click "root" in superoneclick
Thanks all for the inputs.
Ill also try root wit this two app and nothing. Today i will try run superoneclick as admin and hope that will be that!
Superone click root is best and easy for rooting
