Hello everyone! So i got my Xperia U for christmas, and i wanted to root it, me and my friend have tried to root our xperia u's but it's not working.
We have tried bin4rys, z4root and flashtool, it goes through the process and reboots, but we still doesnt have root acces, on flashtool it says "root hack didn't work, cleaning hack files".
Our versions: android ics 4.0.4 build: 6.1.1.B.1.54
(we have installed adb drivers, but we haven't unlocked bootloader)
Thanks!

If you're on 6.1.1.B.1.54, you'll have to Flash 6.1.1.B.1.10 kernel then Root using Bin4ry, then Flash 6.1.1.B.1.154 kernel. Voila, your device is Rooted.

Safer way would be to install rescue-backdoor from AiO tool and then install the zip again from recovery.
Flasher is GOOD as long as nothing interupts it....
For me I didn't have enough room for the files to deflate = semi-brick, I am running 3.2 lol and CAN'T upgrade lol

Lock the bootloader, update to 290 and root again. Use your eyes and read. It's new year so don't expect any quality stuff from me.
