Bad ESN on At&t or international carriers? - HTC Droid DNA

sup guys,
I was thinking about getting a DNA and I found one with a bad esn. I've been reading around that the DNA comes factory unlocked for GSM carriers, so I was thinking if a DNA with a bad esn would work right out if i pop in an at&t sim card or an international sim card?

[Q] World phone capability

If the qualdcom processor on the EVO is ment to support LTE which in turn uses a sim card shouldn't that make the phone a world phone I know it is suppose to have an embeded sim. But my true question is will we be able to reporgram the sim once we get root or will write have to go with more of a hardware mod if we wish to make it a world phone.

Sprint uses embedded LTE technology to my knowledge, so its not like on Verizon where there is an LTE sim card. Also, this phone is a CDMA phone, and therefore does not have a regular sim card slot (Like phones on ATT or TMo). No software modifications will change this, and I highly doubt that anyone could even attempt to make a hardware modification to make this phone a world phone. Also, and LTE sim card is not the same as a regular sim card, as they perform different actions (access to LTE and the rest of the network is seperate).
Yeah I was thinking that it does not have the slot the thing is that the processor does support gsm also I was kinda hopeing it was like the rezound it is cdma phone on Verizon. It was found out that just by removing verizons LTE sim card and adding a gsm one it allowed the phone to work as a gsm phone.
the evo lte does not have the GSM and HSPA+ radios to be a world phone
When I preordered, the rep told me it was a world phone. I didn't think she was right but I didn't say anything.
Yeah i read the same post on Engadget i think. What a bummer was hopping it was since it is rocking the same processor that the at&t one (correct me if im wrong). Plus like i also stated was hopping it was like the HTC rezound on Verizon that with a experiment it ended up working. O well .... still kinda wanna take it apart and try wouldn't be xda without some experimenting or moding.
My friend has a Droid bionic which wasn't supposed to have GSM support, but it did through some hacks on rootzwiki and using a T-Mobile sim card. I think that the s4 includes a GSM radio, so its probably possible at least if the sim card can be accessed. Lte is GSM based so it is likely that GSM support is there if software is modified like it was on the bionic.

Sure, you can use it anywhere in the world that has a compatible CDMA network.
Many identify world phone with GSM radios (which the Evo 4G LTE does not have), but CDMA (which it does have) does work well for roaming in Asia.
I've roamed with my Evo 4G across Japan, Korea, and China for both voice and data. There's a full list of countries with CDMA roaming on the Sprint website. As soon as you arrive in country (if roaming works), you receive a free text with the rates and instructions on how to make international calls.

[Q] Got htc radar unlocked but wont read t-mobile sim card

My girlfriend bought a T-mobile HTC radar off craigslist and It wouldn't read a T-mobile sim card. Which I though was weird. So I bought a unlocked code and unlocked it with my AT&T sim card. The phone will work with the AT&T sim card but not with a t-mobile sim card. I've try a contract and pre-paid T-mobile sim and nothing. I went to T-mobile and got a brand new sim card and still nothing. Like I said if I put my AT&T sim in the phone it work fine. Can some one please help me to get this phone to read a t-mobile sim. I though once you unlocked it you could use any carrier that use a sim card.
you'll have to call t-mobile to activate it with the sim card

I don't think so. I regularly bounce between T-Mobile and AT&T with all my unlocked phones. The only limiting factor is the radio and the data bands that it receives. And, of course the Radar was made for T-Mo. Mine has always been great there.
Now, there are two versions of the phone. The US version is simply called the Radar and can use either T-Mobile or AT&T's networks. The international version is model C110E and called either the Radar or the Omega. It will work on AT&T, but it does not have the T-Mobile bands. It is made for data networks in Europe and it additional bands for Asia. The antenna configuration is different in the two phones.
Does your Radar say "T-Mobile" in the top right corner? Is it possible that you have the C110E?
I got a unlocked code and it works on my at&t sim card but not a T-Mobile one. I've try contact and prepaid sim cards. Nothing! I got a new sim card and nothing! It a T-Mobile HTC radar. It should work on T-Mobile but it don't. A Friend of mine said T-Mobile has lock the phone from there end. I got the unlocked code and it works with at&t sim but not T-Mobile. I don't like the windows one. I've unlocked 3 mytouch, 4 SGII and a galaxy note. This has been a pain in the ass from day one. If u think of a idea let me know it won't hurt.

Maybe the IMEI has been blocked by Tmo? Call and find out.

[Q] Using SM900P in Vietnam.

Good day folks,
I have purchased a 900p from a friend in USA for a good deal, the problem is that the phone has a bad ESN and was for sprint, I was wondering if i take this phone to Vietnam will it with with any regular sim card? I'm not expecting any thing fancy like 4g or LTE in VN but I just want to know if this phone will work in VN, I've read from multiple sources that the 900p is internationally unlocked but is locked for domestic US sims, can any one verify if that is true? also aware I might not be able to do a SPRINT SIM unlock because of the BAD ESN. Any one have any suggestions?

It won't work in VN unless you ask sprint to unlock the international sim lock. But they won't help you because yours is a bad ESN one.
Just waiting for heros to work out how to unlock without sprint's help.

can you explain more regarding having sprint customer?
from a lot of forum threads i'm getting Bias information:
so, It is possible to use GSM international but nobody can do that unless Sprint authorize person do something to the phone or account?
so Unlocked version doesn't exit? or what Unlocked mean on SM-N900P?

the phone can only be unlocked for International SIM cards by Sprint, and for this to be able to be done, the phone has to be activated on a Sprint account. this is the ONLY unlock method currently available for this particular Note 3 model (Sprint variant, SM-N900P)

Unlocking Verizon LG G6

Are those places (sites) that you pay to unlock your phone legit? Is it possible to unlock the Verizon version of the G6 so I can use it on T-Mobile or does the Verizon G6 not have the proper bands support?

Verizon doesn't lock their LTE phones. You should be able to drop a SIM card in it and have it work.
I don't know about all the LTE bands though.
I'm on Verizon. Seems everyone I had would work on most carriers out of the box. I had S7 Edge (Verizon) worked on a few different prepaid Sims. I also added a new phone for me and put a dif sim in my old LG Stylus and sent to my son in Boise. And put old sim in my LG G6 and it worked (cause I needed old number in new phone and new SIM went in older phone.
Hopefully that made since haha.
Just remember that the phone/SIM must be in good standing or you will have problems sometimes when activating on major companies. Unless its prepaid SIM you can pop a new one in that's already activated.

I'll have a chance to buy new Verizon LG G6 for cheap, but I'm on AT&T network. Just want to confirm before pull the trigger, do I need a Verizon SIM to activate the phone first then swap with AT&T SIM, or just put in the AT&T SIM would be fine? Thanks in advance!
Put the att sim in, during setup connect to WiFi. After setup input apn settings. Restart the phone. The phone may occasionally inform you that the inserted sim is not a VZW sim. I think that will go away after you disable all the VZW apps.
I have tried different sims but does not recognize the sim. Only recognizes verizon sim. I'm not a verizon customer and where I am at we don't have verzion.
any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Update: Working now. Sim card readers were bent.
