Earlier i was tethering at almost 2mbps now im getting around 200kbps. Is there a reason? Help please

This isn't the correct way to post a thread asking for help. You didn't post if you were rooted or not, & "if you are rooted" what rom your on, if you flashed a theme or mod, etc. You also didn't post what version of the app your using, what settings you have the app set to or what steps you yourself have taken to resolve the issue. You have made it very difficult to offer any suggestions that may or may not help your issue.

Try a speed test maybe ur 3g speeds dropped due to stress on the network

Not sure if it was caused by this, but my galaxy s2 lost data connectivity after making this change yesterday (I am coming from TMO galaxy tab). It didn't lose it immediately so I cannot say this caused it but i rolled back the change since then and I am not seeing any disconnect.

Go ahead and ask a question. I won't be able to answer them because I am a big noob myself but perhaps this could be an alternative to endless hours of fruitless searching. Ok, are you using a custom Rom and if so which one. I am having WiFi connection issues with the one I have.
And I do understand about the kernal flash, my wifi is working, but it drops the connection in sleep, and with WiFi calling on.... Means I don't receive calls.

Have you tried going into settings/wireless & networks/wifi settings/then press the soft key menu button/Advanced/sleep options/never .

Ive searched the forum for solutions on how to fix this issue but can't seem to find I good answer. I've also changed kernels but it still goes on & off. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it thanks.

you should try switching over to static ip
Try changing your router channel to 11 if its not already. Also try updating your routers firmware. And in settings/WiFi/advance WiFi settings make sure best performance is checked and sleep is set to never.

Thanks for all your replies,but I should have stated that I only have this problem when using virus rom. I was on miui the WiFi worked flawlessly no restarts. I'm just wondering what I should do to get it stable on virus because his Rom is dope.

Well in that case you could try switching kernels if you haven't already. Also you can adjust the WiFi setting in the settings menu if you haven't already as well. The info I posted is still relevant toward the router you own it may or may not help with the virus issue but it will give you better performance if you keep your routers firmware up to date that's if you haven't already.

Thanks but I've used both and I'm still getting the WiFi reset issue. I tried ziggys with the 329 release of 3.5 but still a no go.

There is no fix and hasn't been for awhile. Any sense 3.5 rom I go on my wifi goes in and out. Awhile ago I tried posting a thread for advice and I'm guessing because it happens to so few people nobody really wanted to look into it. My advice don't use 3.5 if you need wifi. Try one of the 2.17 base roms. They're just as smooth. Also I'm sure once ics hits the issue won't be there with 3.6. Not too much longer!
I have an HTC amaze 4G (Ruby) i bought it from a friend. but it gives me a head pain of using data connection and its useless. its unlock coz i can use any sim but when i try to put APN even it is correct still i can't connect on the data and i can not see any icons or logo for 2G/3G/4G respectively. i tried many times also to toggle the data network and still no hopes and i tried to call my service provider and they say that all my settings are correct and i also try to use my sim to another device and it's working perfectly fine, they say that maybe the device have some issue. I'm tired of doing all these things over and over again,( reset the phone, put APN settings, switch off and on the phone and the data network and no luck at all) I need help to all xda users and developers to figured out whats the solution regarding my problem. Coz i really want to use my phone on the go

If you have Asian amaze than and according to you of you have unlocked,
S-off and has superCID than search on google ad it is I mentioned below:
" HTC amaze CustomRoms xda "
Than click on 1st link listed on google.
There you will find so many Roms for your amaze ,
Download one and than put that zip file on sdcard and boot into bootloader .
And follow the steps...

Hello again. I know I've posted a thread like this a while ago, but I didn't seem to get an answers. Recently, I stumbled upon this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2369930, and it says it can enable the GSM radio. By the looks of it, it seems as if that can help enable 3G on the PagePlus network. So, if anyone has tried it, did it work for you? Thanks, hoping I can get feedback as soon as possible.
