I wanna share my works "New Megabass", hopefully useful for x8 because I really like Xperia UI too. This mod will boost system sound to make more powerfull.
Add two files:
- First one For Gingerbread and CM7,MIUI
roms
- Second one for ICS and JB,CM9/10 roms
FEATURES:
- My MegaBass system with beats, srs and
alsa
- Dsp mod and Dolby with more options:
- 1 option in compression
- 1 option bass ( I think you won't use bass
option in MegaBass.. . )
- 4 options in equalizer
- 2 options in loudness

- Put the file in sdcard

I flashed the zip for gb in gdxV30, but the app beats manager and audioservice doesn't get installed, flash completes without any problem and the apps are there in system/app folder with correct permission but aren't installed..
Any idea how to make it work..

Did you has already dspmanager installed before? If yes, delete dspmanager in system /app than reboot

You can use this setup for higher speaker sound
For higher ringtones, in xLoud speaker:
- X-Bass, enabled + slight

delete soundfx folder than reflash megabass
tried on Ginger Kc.....dsp manager force closes nd cant find d dolby app in d tray....!!

You can try it but don't forget to backup your rom. It's so complicated because some rom didn't support dsp in audio manager

It works great, however, I noticed on my SGS2, after installing the drivers, my sound has increased 10 fold. The first volume notch from 0 brings it to maybe a 8 or 9 as normal. 1 click =10xs the normal loudness...1 is almost too loud for work and 3 is almost too loud for my ears.
Anyone else have this problem or suggest a work around? It is not the player, it is the same for Google Music, Doubletwist and n7Player.

For Poweramp users:
To use V4A with Poweramp properly, you need to follow the steps below.
Open Poweramp Settings -> Audio -> Advanced Tweaks -> Direct volume control -> Turned off.
To solve Poweramp volume too low after turning off Direct volume control:
Turn on V4A's PlaybackAGC, set strength to Medium/Extreme, set Max Gain to Infinity, set Max Output to 0db.
For system-provided music players (such as MIUI music player, Apollo etc.):
In these music players, turning on player equalizer will auto disable V4A, turning off will enable V4A.
Third-party players such as TTPOD and Poweramp have no such problems.
Tips:
To use XHiFi on speaker, use lock effect mode.
New Usage Terms & Condition Policy:
Starting from 1 April 2013, no one can include V4A FX nor XHiFi in their sound engine/sound mod or any work which is not a Rom.
You can only include V4A in Roms, but without any third party sound effects in the particular Rom in which you are featuring V4A.
Third party sound effects include audio effects/sound enhancers/sound panels which are not stock provided.
Example: BeatsAudio is considered third party sound effects to Sony Devices.
DSPManager / Awesome Beats / SRS Panel are also considered third party sound effects without doubt.

The problem you faced is called bootloop..it normally happens with kernel mismatch.but i provided a kernel along with it.ok need to check what went wrong.what partition did you actually formatted and what rom kernel you were using?you actually dont need to format anything as format command is already in the updater script
