This is a port of CyanogenMod 10.1 [androidarmv6 fork], a community-developed Android ROM based on Jelly Bean 4.2.1, for the Samsung Galaxy 5 (GT-I5500/GT-I5500L/GT-I550M/GT-I5503/GT-I5508/Europa) series phones.
Pre-requisites:
Visit the Basebands thread, and make sure that you are using a baseband that is compatible with CyanogenMod. If you are still using an Eclair ROM, you must update your baseband or you will experience boot loops.
Visit the ClockworkMod thread and install the latest ClockworkMod build via Odin.
[Optional] Install MAD Manager or GooManager from the Google Play store.
Installation:
Download the latest release as well as the latest gapps-jb42 package from MAD Manager, GooManager or via PC using the links at the bottom of this post.
Once the files have been downloaded/transferred to your phone's SD card, reboot into recovery.
Important: if you are updating from a stock ROM, CM7, CM9, CM10 or any other ROM that is not my own CM10.1 build, you are recommended to perform a data wipe. I will not offer support or guarantee a stable ROM if you ignore this step.
Install the update package, followed by the Google Apps package, and then reboot.

ROM status: all hardware & major features working (see ROM Status post for more details)
ROM issues (unconfirmed): there may be a possibility of a bootloop on second reboot if you do not enable USB debugging. I need more time to verify. In the meantime, keep it enabled to be safe. Go to Settings -> About phone -> Build number (press repeatedly) to unlock the hidden developer menus.
ROM issues (minor): kernel USB driver uses product id for Galaxy S, which may cause some confusion in Windows applications; USB mass storage mode may be slower than before; zRam causes system instability and should not be used.

CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM Status - updated 17/01/2013 for v0.2
Should I use this ROM?
Consider the following:
Jelly Bean's minimum requirements are 512MB of RAM, a 256MB /system partition and an 800Mhz CPU. Our device has 256MB of RAM (181MB usable), a 175MB /system partition, and the CPU can only run up to 768Mhz (when overclocked) at most. You must accept that you are running a version of Android that has higher demands than your phone can satisfy (meaning: it can lag).
Due to the small /system size, some features of the ROM have been removed, including the Video Editor, Live Wallpapers, as well as some Jelly Bean ringtones, wallpapers and optional fonts. There is simply no space to accommodate everything on our device.
The ROM is still not well-tested and may have some odd bugs.
If you're willing to accept these issues, then this ROM may suit you well. Otherwise, I recommend that you stay with a lighter ROM, such as Gingerbread.

Partially working/minor issues:
Intermittent lag. If your phone starts to feel unresponsive, hass visual stuttering or unusual battery draining, this may be due to a bug where NetlinkEvent constantly spams "Got a short RTM_NEWLINK message". This bug can occur at random times, and you can verify by looking at your logcat output to see if this error is occurring. As a workaround, run "stop netd; start netd" in a root shell to clear the problem. I will try to isolate the cause and solution to this problem for the next release.
USB drivers: the kernel in this release uses backported 3.0 USB drivers from the Galaxy S. As a side effect, the phone will use Galaxy S drivers (but the device name shown as GT-I5500 correctly). I will try to see if this can be better solved later.
WiFi tethering - WPA-PSK2 encryption may not work correctly; open and WPA-PSK encryption works fine.

For your kind information, galaxy 5 doesn't have a proximity sensor. So it's not a bug!.

Psyke, you should fix swap script. I haven't got ext partition, so swap doesn't get mounted.

10 days with the rom:
Used Trebuchet until 6 days - okay and had no problems according to the launcher.
Used in the last four days New Launcher - Much more fluid compared to trebuchet, at least for me.
Using frequency max 729 and 480 min
Used manager Ondemand
Used I / O VR
Transparency 16 bit
Some had problems with receiving calls, it has not happened to me, Messaging - Send and Receive = Normal
Call - Made and recebids = Normal and without any fault
I'm from Brazil upstate St. Paul
Using baseband BVJJP9 - Without any problems
3G also worked at the CM7, both in the browser and in the applications and Play Store, no problems with that.
Hopefully with these few words that were afraid of using up can be encouraged.

Help on STK.apk
hi there i already try the CM10.1 for a week now, what i noticed is that the STK.apk(Sim Toolkit)
does not appear on the phone, i already copy & backup the STK.apk on System/apps and try to install it but no luck,
i uninstall it using the root explorer and download the new STK.apk on some Appszoom,
then i install it and it says "App not Installed An existing package by the same name with a conflicting signature is already installed"
hope you can resolve this, i really really love this CM 10.1
Stk.apk doesn't works on cm10.1 from Erickas and also not on cm10.1 from olddroid for galaxy gio and they are also part of armv6 team. On cm10 and cm9 it works great.

And when i open the internet browser, the browser crashes and closes .......
And also while downloading some apps from market there is no downloading sign on the status bar ......

What if I am S-ON?
Not A problem. But you will need to flash rom boot.img via FASTBOOT commands using Windows CMD
Be UNLOCKED!
Steps For S OFF
Download ROM to SDCARD
Reboot to recovery
Make a Nandroid backup before flashing SD Rom
Once Nandroid was done, do a Full Wipe ( data/cache/dalvik )
Select Install, go to downloaded Rom location
Select Rom zip, install, yes, swipe!!
Once installation is finished, Reboot ! Done.
Steps For S On
Unlocked Device via HTCDEVWEB
Download this file Click Me
In your PC create a folder call "fastboot" path must be "C:/"
Extract into your PC the downloaded file, Inside "Fastboot" folder, Path "c:/fastboot"
Now extract from Rom.zip (SkyDragon ONE Rom) the file called "boot.img" and place it in your fastboot folder
Put your ONE into FASTBOOT USB MODE ( first hold down POWER button and, then VOL down, you will see button lights blinking. Once Your ONE Turns off ( between ten and twenty seconds ) release and re press same buttons but now at the same time...till you get Bootloader Screen.
Once in Bootloader you will find info such as S-on or S-off, Menu with Fastboot, Recovery, Reboot etc.
Press Fastboot and connect your ONE to your PC.
You Will see Fastboot turns into FASTBOOT USB, now you are OK.
In your PC open CMD (terminal), just press MENU in windows and in the search small windows, type CMD and Enter.
A black windows OS-like will open, you will need to do the following:
Using "cd.." means "cd dot dot", just in case, go back till get this path "C:/"
Once in "C:/" you will type "cd fastboot"
Now path turns into "C:/fastboot"
OK, now we need to type two commands
"fastboot erase cache" press enter
You will see a message like "sending...." at the end will say "ok"
Then last one
"fastboot flash boot boot.img" press enter.
Once says "OK", we are good.
Time to unplug Your ONE, and press Hboot, well, the idea here is to get RECOVERY
Once in Recovery Mode, we install the Rom as normal, remember to full wipe manually!!! (data/cache/dalvik)
Select "INSTALL" swipe, when it is done, reboot!
That s ALL

We are assuming that you are S-Off and SuperCID. Right? If not, read carefully and ask lots of
questions!!!
How do I install the SkyDragon Rom?! !
Download the latest SkyDragon Rom zip from the download section!
Make sure to check that the MD5 checksum matches with the one posted on the download
page!
Place the zip file on your internal (virtual) SD card!
Reboot your phone into recovery TWRP or CWM depending on what is recommended in OP
with the specific Rom version!
Make a backup of your current Rom!
Select to install SkyDragon Rom in recovery and follow the instructions in Aroma installer
always selecting full wipe to start the installation! !
Note: I always prefer to manually wipe cache, Dalvik cache, and data in recovery before starting
the Rom installation. Trust me, this method does help prevent many issues.! !
How do I get into recovery?! !
Hold down power button and volume down at the same time.! !
Can I install themes and make custom mods?! !
We do not recommend themes and mods that are not included in the Rom or are not in the SD
Hub. If you have any questions follow the main SkyDragon thread, read a few pages, and feel
free to ask questions. Someone will be willing to help you. We have very friendly Themers on
board!! !

Can I install a custom kernel?! !
Yamil releases a specific Rom version to run optimally with the stock kernel, or whichever
custom kernel is most compatible at the time of release. Follow the thread for news and
updates.! !
Does your Rom includes radio firmware, HBoot, recovery, etc.?! !
Never! ! !
Will installing SkyDragon erase my SD card/internal memory?! !

Firmware flashing is not required for every Rom update. Most of the time it is best to remain on

Also in aroma I chose quite a few apps and when I booted into the Rom it doesn't show the apps I picked and some I left out are in the Rom now

About aroma script, wich apps? Will check script if u tell me.
We have in rom apps located in system/app, which are most apps pack with system dump, rom based, i ve only added sdhub.
And using root explorer or similar, u can see apps in data/app folder...
Some apps can be removed using gplay, going to my apps. Others can be removed manually. Also you can delete manually apps from system /apps but u should know what you r deleting... For example, if u delete systemUI.apk, system will crash, but apps like widgets or Facebook, Twitter, are safe to remove.

In trickster mod I changed the governor to dancedance governor. Seems to work better than smartmax.. in aroma I tried to install HTC messages and some other HTC apps then a bunch of Google apps were chosen but never got installed like Gmail Google plus, YouTube es file explorer etc..

Sure, they are there, also dancedance.
Abiut gov, i always use Ondemand, the trick is that every user, every usage, so in my case, in not worry about batt, i m not too many hours outside, and when o m working, i just check phone calls and messages. But yes there are different kernel and tweaks over kernel app. To find a better view, its better to go straight to kernels threads, in there, users share their experiences with all kind of settings, also we have to take into account that we have also different chips models, i didn't read about how to get it yet, but they go from 0 to 5 where five is the best for Undervolting generally with some exceptions.
About atoma apps, i could install all, well, for testing i always install all rom s apps, also to recheck updates.
Another consideration, or maybe two.
Supersu should not be updated by gplay, only for android 4.3. Should be manually flash by recovery.
To avoid that, in gplay turn off auto updating
Also i ve added Busybox app, just opne it, let it load and select smart installer, will get a better experience.
Rom has as default busybox generated by Dsixda kitchen. I prefer app busybox version.

Apex launcher force closes right away even installed the rom twice. Third time installing used Nova worked fine then Nova force closes once in awhile. Other wise I like the time.

Incredible battery life..only the first charge! Almost 3 hours of screen-on time and not even at 50% yet! I use this phone very much for internet, email, gaming, andd texti.constantly running it hard.....battery life is simply amazing, imho.

The problem you faced is called bootloop..it normally happens with kernel mismatch.but i provided a kernel along with it.ok need to check what went wrong.what partition did you actually formatted and what rom kernel you were using?you actually dont need to format anything as format command is already in the updater script

CAR MODE
Hello friends,I am glad to bring to you Car Mode with Mirrorlink ported from Samsung Galaxy S5 and is working without any FC's(On Top Left,Find My Car is giving FC) and is fully functional and far better,beautiful and fast with S-Voice commands than Hands Free Mode and no need of modification in System UI .It is must need mod for persons driving car where it is handy tool to use phone.It is present in our Stock ROM also
Instructions for use:
1.Download the Car Mode Zip and Flash it in recovery!
2.Press Car Mode toggle in Notification Panel and you will see 'Car Mode On'
3.Those who dont have car mode toggle can download car mode toggle from play store and press it which will open S-Voice and press 'Tap Mic' and say 'OPEN CAR MODE'
4.Double pressing home button will also enable S-Voice
5.There you go with Car Mode fully functonal and pair it with bluetooth of your Car
6.Use it by giving Voice Commands by tapping options where needed
7.When work is over then remember to switch it off in toggle or icon in notification panel
8.Second last screenshot is of Hands Free Mode which is not functional with S-Voice so need not worry,use Car Mode

After lot of efforts,I successfully ported Note 2 Stock Keyboard.One language at a time will work as normal in Note 2 latest Kitkat 4.4.2 ROM unlike S6 keyboard where you can change using space bar.You can change language in keyboard settings.All emojis and symbols are working however if any other issues,nothing can be done as it is stock one.

After trying out a lot of different sound mods and apps and patches I always came back to Viper4Android. Simple to use, great sound quality and a lot of customization.
Steps:
-Extract the attached IRS.zip into Android/data/com.pittvandewitt.viperfx/files/Kernel (For Android 11 follow this tutorial)
-Install latest Viper4Android apk (Download here), open it, grant root access and install the drivers.
-Reboot the device.
IF THE MOD IS NOT WORKING AFTER REBOOT TRY SETTING SELINUX MODE TO PERMISSIVE WITH THIS APP AND/OR INSTALLING AUDIO MODIFICATION LIBRARY MAGISK MODULE
HEADSET
Go to Headset and enable the Master power switch, I suggest you put on your headphones now so you can hear the changes in the sound yourself and tweak them to your liking.
My settings are:
Master power: ON
FIR equalizer (enabled): Preset: Acoustic
Convolver (enabled); Impulse Response: IRS.irs (copy IRS.irs from the rar into Viper4Android/Kernel); Cross Channel: 60%

Miui 11.0.1 Global firmware stock rom.. The latest firmware for that phone.
My phone is mi 8 lite.
I installed the stock rom wia recovery using pith black recovery.. All succes.
After that system boot.. I finished the setup ??
Then i boot again to recovery flsshed magisc 20.3 and reboot again all ok..
Then i used magisc module to flash Viper4android V2.7.1.6 rebooted and works very fine..
Then i installed the dolby digital plus V7. 2 for Android 10.. Reboot and works ?
Booth of viper4android and dolby works without problem.
No musicfx uninstalled no modification library / sound path aplyed.. ? So.. Unusefull tutorial

Yeah, the new Viper4Android version fixes the problems we had to bypass by using the steps I mentioned in the tutorial. I will update the tutorial soon, no reason to call it unuseful
