First off aren't the codes that come with *#*# and #*#* Msl codes? I can't get to them.
When I type *#*#service#*#* the typed thing erased itself (that's when the menu opens up usually) and does not open the menu.
Btw recently did cm10 update.
Sent from my Xperia Mini Pro
I heard that cm has a different type of service menu. so there maybe another way to open the service menu.
Re: Msl codes not working
That code only works in stock based ROMs
CyanogenMod has different framework...
To access service menu in CM
*#*#4636#*#*
Its a bit different from sony default service menu.
PREDATOR95 ->->->->a.k.a. ->-> predatOr
On stock rom you can try *#*#7378423#*#*
On cm10 it won't work because it's bloatware

If you're on an Android 2.3.3 build, open the phone dial pad and enter the following:
*#*#7378423#*#*
See if that works for you.

It didn't work for me. When I enter the last character *, all the other characters I entered before disappears, but nothing happens...

Just for the heck of it, I tried the key combination on a Sprint-branded HTC EVO 4G running its latest stock 2.3.3 update, and all the characters disappeared after inputting the last '*' as well.
Are you using a custom ROM?
I'm on the X10a AM-US GENERIC 1233-8200 Android 2.3.3 SE stock update, and the method works fine. It seems to be tied to the Sony Ericsson stock builds.

woa! *#*#7378423#*#* worked for me
I just flashed CM to a Galaxy s3 ATT and was wondering if there's some alternative way to access the service menu / disable wifi powersaving mode other than using the dialer code, since, obviously, dialer codes don't work on non-stock roms.
Post title should by "Cyanogen mod" not "clockwork mod." My bad.
So here is my problem. I type the *#*#7378423#*#* into the dieler but then nothing happens. I read somewhere that I need to install a service menu apk but I could not do it. I put it into a zip and then into the phone and after that with a Bootloader I intall it and it givies me errors. I even tryed putting it into the cm-11-STABLE-4-M11-kumquat as I intalled it but again nothing. Please help me ! Thanks in advance
I think custom ROM doesn't support service menu...
Thats right .
Only Stock roms have Service menu.
Hi
I uploaded lineageOS and that was OK but when the user wanted to change SIM to another company she found that it was sim locked. She got the codes from EE but they don't work, properly because it is lineage now. So now I am searching for a firmware for a I9305XXUFOA1, no trace of it on the internet, what can I do ?. I found a I9305XXUFOC1 will that do the trick. I am guessing that if I put the ORG firmware back it will bee possible to unlock the phone.
Hope there is anyone out there who can help. Thanks.
Yes, you need to be running a stock dialler in order to enter the unlock code.
The OC1 should work.
Agreed, oc1 will do fine so long as it matches the carrier code. The last 3 digits are version numbers.
The dialer isn't what is needed to sim unlock the phone. You put the sim card in from another carrier and you'll get a prompt for a network code. When selecting the field you get a number pad to enter the code.
The carrier isn't contacted at any point as the code is the decryption key for the simlock in nvdata on the 'nand'.
Not chastising you, just passing on knowledge..
Ps, only stock firmware can interface with the unlock procedures of any device.

A stock dialler is required to enter a network unlock code for a Samsung phone. A Samsung phone running a custom non-TW based ROM cannot be used to enter and validate a network unlock code in my experience.
Thanks a lot for your answers, I will go for the I9305XXUFOC1.
Help would be appreciated,
I type in codes science I have no service, I try to fix it by using the code *#*#4636#*#* and the other testing menu codes and whenever I type them in the app either crashes or doesn't crash but not work.
Stock rom with the stock dialer?
