I'm trying to setup the driving mode and S Voice on my S3 but I'm having trouble with text messages, I can't get themto be read out by S Voice. I have checked all of the options in voice cmd for apps as well as the Show body of message option. But it doesn't want to work. It just tells me I have a new message rather than reading it out.
Any help appreciated.

I'll preference this post by saying I am a newbie. I'm learning how to tweak my HD2.
That being said, I activated voice notifications and it reads the head line and sender of each of my emails, incoming calls, etc.
I do not know how to DEACTIVATE.
Please point me in the right direction. Its getting me in trouble when in meetings at work.
How did you activate it in the first place?
Did you try the voice command settings?
Settings Tab>All Settings>Personal>Voice Command
hello everybody i need some help with two issues that have tested my patience and now im at breaking point.
1) everytime my text message is too long it becomes a MMS i have data runnning and everything but the MMS or text it wont go through neither does picture messaging or any other time of MMS it just says downloading but it doesnt go beyond that.
2) my school has poor service. now if i send a text message the vibrant tells me message has failed. which is fine. but is there a way where the message keeps on trying to send till it catches a signal by itself instead of me goign back and forth trying to find a signal and resending the text again and again and again and again. similar to like BB and nokia. where they phone keeps trying to send.
im really frustrated with these things if i could get any help i would be really greatful
im running Trigger 2.9.2
great appreciate any help or information regarding this.
You should download the AOSP MMS.apk and flash it through CWM to replace the MMS.apk that comes with Trigger. That should fix the mms not sending issue. If that doesn't help, download GO! SMS from the market and send the MMS through that app and that should clear up network errors and your mms should go through.

for your first issue it is a phone number format issue. remove the +1 and - from all your numbers. There is an app in the market that will do this, but I have forgotten the name.
for you second issue there is no auto retry on android. This is something your just going to have to deal with. If I were you I would not load any other SMS apps as I have seen some issues with my messages going to wrong people after swapping out one MMS.APK for another. just retry your message manually and hopefully google will add auto resend one day.
Hey, I've spent a bit of time just hanging around here, but this is my first thread. I followed a thread on how to switch to Straight Talk, but now I can only get and send text messages while on ST. I can't make any calls except to the programming numbers (*22890 & *22891), and I have no data icon on my phone at all either. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix that?
Hi all,
I hope you can help me because I'm having the following issues:
- When saying "Ok Google" or tapping the main screen to enter in search/command mode, I start speaking, the device starts converting voice to text and, sometimes (almost 50% of total times), it suddenly shows the "Disconnected" message with the cloud icon... But the device is still paired (I still receive notifications and so on).
- When I receive any message from Hangouts and I want to reply it through voice, an error message appears: "Can't reach Google at the moment". But if I select a default reply from the available list, I can reply with no problems...
Notifications are working great. It looks like it's related to voice search/commands...
Best regards,

There is a thread for these issues. And these specific two have also been posted there. Please continue the discussion here.
Hi. A long time ago I have sent a group message and got the feedback prompt "messages has not been sent".
I have ignored this as only two of the recipents were wrong.
Now I don't have that message anymore on my phone but I keep getting the prompt.
The phone shows it each every hour or two. What's worse it pushes it to my smatwatch which rings as if I got a real sms. It's very iritating.
I have wiped out the cache of the sms app but it didn't help.
So the question is how to fix this?
I don't want to loose all my sms messages - many of them are important to me.
You may have to delete the problem message. I have done this by long-pressing it and then selecting to delete it (I just checked that this works on Google Messages). In theory, that should stop it from trying to send it to the bad contacts... of course, it also means you'll lose the message, but it's only one, so it may be ok?
