[Idea] [SE Xperia Mini] Clean ROM - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

I've read the whole forum and couldn't find an answer to my question.
I am looking for a clean ROM for SE Xperia Mini without any stuff and apps from Sony, Google or other companies.
Is someone maybe considering to develop something like this? I know there are some great ROM's out there, I've checked and read all about them... I just rather see a clean ROM for performance and a more lasting battery life than to uninstall the apps from the ROM I want to install.
How many of you would like a clean (not just unbranded) ROM?

have you tried CM9 or CM10?
and what do you mean "any stuff" ??

It won't be an android with all those things...
Buy nokia 3310... For a better battery life, no bloatware apps simply nothing...
PREDATOR95 ->->->->a.k.a. ->-> predatOr

Open the any ROM zip, Then Delete the system/Apps.. then flash the ROM
There you go a very clean ROM of your own
Lol

Ah, c'mon guys. Be a bit more respective to a "newcomer" to xda forum.
"have you tried CM9 or CM10?" No, I didn't. Should I? What performance and battery improvement are there in comparison to the unbranded version or Sony Ericsson branded firmware with all the "bloatware"?
"and what do you mean "any stuff" ??" Wallpapers, extras, etc.
"Buy nokia 3310... For a better battery life, no bloatware apps simply nothing... " I don't like the Nokia I have a SE K700i which works perfectly well for more than 12 years now. P
Singgih4050, don't joke. I am reading this forum for the past three years... it's not that easy, I think. Otherwise I would already do it on my own. I have other projects to work on... and if you're not joking, please write me a PM with more details.

Try CM10 by FXP. It is very light and smooth. There is absolutely no bloatware installed. It does not even have Google's apps ( gapps ) and has only the basic apps like messaging, dialer, alarm etc. These are the minimum requirements in a phone, so I don't quite understand what you mean by no "Google", "Sony" apps.

Tested on NeoV .42, but since themes from other Xperia phones works well on my phone I am guessing that my theme might work on other Xperia Phones.
Changelog:
01/28/2012 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21926713&postcount=25
01/31/2012 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21995436&postcount=42

What is undone:
-in call mode
-contacts details (just preview, edit menu is themed)
What will not be done:
-few native SE apps like: technical support, mobile data watcher (I do not use them, so I did not theme them)
-search (too many updates and no point since latest update from google looks kewl)
Details: http://zdunex25.deviantart.com/#/d4nhnlk
Power menu fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22902779&postcount=98 (for other Xperia 2011 phones than Neov/Neo)
looks nice, but 1$?
there's an ICS theme already for free....
@Marcell96 well I made it different, it's port of paid theme I made for cm7, so it's also paid
there are a lot themes ICS for our phone. go to xperia arc & play themes and apps and you will see.
@eu8umhc and what that supposed to mean for me?? I do not force anybody to use it, you can buy it only if you want to
Guys, its only 1$!! Not 50$, not 100$. Do you mean that 1$ is fantastic money?)
ZduneX25,
You say 1$-1,5$.
Any difference between 1$ payment and 1,5$ payment?
Any difference on the theme?
After payment by paypal what is the procedure? You send link to download the theme?
Done, I bought this for my aunt's Neo, her phone has the bootloader blocked
Thank you as always Zdune!

Ok ZduneX25,
Just waiting money be available on paypal and you will have one more client ;-)

Nice looking theme, just waiting till paypal get filled up
Well, lucky I did a backup before apply this, every time I boot, I'm getting a lot of Forced Closed apps, so...
@asdf-chan did you follow all installation steps from deviant page?? after fc's you should flash restore zip then reboot system and flash theme again it is necessary
Oh my, like in your CM7 theme? xD Ok, didn't read it, gonna try it later~ Or no.. Gonna flash stock rom in my phone right now, wanna test it. Haha.
Totally the same like patches for cm7, needs some manipulation to work sure have fun
Ok, for the record, and new _customers_, I did the steps from deviantart and now everything is working fine, gonna tweak a bit my stock installation, I was bored of no-radio in my CM 7.2 FXp0104 ;_;
Thank you again, zdune!
editZduneX25 Could you add the "Reboot Option" in the "power button menu"? Thank you in advance!
edit edit: just addin' a screenshot :3c
(ADWLauncher EX ICS theme by kovdev)
I was reading how to add reboot, reboot to recovery and reboot to fastboot there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811532 and it's too much for my lazy ass right now
Theme is very nice,thanks ZduneX25
few suggestions,
Can you add ICS icons for to use with stock launcher ? I mean not every icons.Very few like camera, messages, phonebook, dialer to use in standby to match with the ICS look (I tried
ADWLauncher EX with ICS theme of kovdev, still all the icons are not changed + like the stock launcher more-easier to use than adw).
Notifications background can you use a white background?( playerpro app :/ )
One more thing,I'm not sure if this is bcos 2 launchers are installed(stock and adw) or live wallpaper but after installing the theme sometimes playing vids in VPlayer kinda lags, sound and video is kinda not synchronized correctly. Before installing the theme too I used live wallpaper mystic halo and everything worked fine then.

[Discussion] Piccolo

This is the discussionthread for Piccolo.
For now you can give suggestions to the upcoming rom in here
Could you put the files for google services and only playstore, that way theres no need to flash any gapps and people install what they wont. Benefit more free space in system.

pretty much the same thanks...
we are waiting lol...
I have some suggestions for piccolo
you can add jbirdvegas build.prop modder if possible.
https://github.com/CNA/android_pack...mmit/494a5aa53357ce02f430fad2df5fd5256cf2d46f
I hope to see implemented the changes that Linaro made But that depends only on CM probably.
Will you remove voice search?
Or us that included in gapps
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
Not sure if it will work on all boards.
But to much work for me alone to find out
Will you include the theme changer and Apollo?
Anyway really look forward to the new rom.
PS oh yes please don't include that glitchy and annoying off-mode charging screen!

Arjen why not use lg ui 3.0? Though someone gotta resize it
As it will be a minimalistic rom, i would like to see a black&white UI. It will look different from other roms like cm9 aokp And it will look very minimalistic
Since the main aim of the rom is the minimal size following are my suggestions:
1. Minimal gapps (Stripped down and should contain only google play)
2. Voice search, video: should be removed, as we need to anyways install mobo or similar player for viewing mp4 files of the camcorder. Also stock voice search doesn't work hence redundent
3. CM9 Launcher may be replaced with suitable low size laucher such as Holo
4. Live wallpaper and stock wallpaper may be provided as zips (not flasheble zips) so that the user can use only required files as per his choice and burden on rom of carrying these files will be removed.
5. Boot animation: No boot animation, it will save precious space on system partition, also rom will boot faster.
6. Sound, wallpaper etc: Should be based on Dragon Ballz theme, as this is Arjens project.

Kanad

[POLL]Who want a gingerICS rom(holo interface on 2.3.7)

Hello after few days i can make a tutorial how to get an almost full holo interface on gingerbread. So you dont hurt your eyes with the ginger killer stock interface + you get more ram more free space and better gaming.
P.S the kernel is overclockable to 1.5 so thats cool too

hey dude. I would prefer xperia keyboard than the GB stock keyboard like one of your picture
im interesting in this! that would be great if ROM control is include, and used ram is about 90mb or even below!
So... what will happen to app with holo theme?
I'm vote for no GB, but what you did is totally stunning! Respect.
Lolz i havent did it
Well 1. It havent got rom control but it has CyanogenMod Settings(its based on the latest one.
2. The ICS design is not mine too - its a theme in THEME CHOOSER but I will delete the others( so the default loock is this.
3.There is no full ICS interface in apps but you dont feel that this is Gingerbread
4.I have 140-180 memory free when i run the task killer on my homescreen - i have 120 user apps xD so this is so good
5. It has lots of cool features DSP Manager and great audio. Icognito mode in browser just like in chrome on pc. It even have teh option Long-press back to kill app witch is pretty cool
P.S in CyanogenMod Settings you can choose battery stile and lots of other cool stuff. Ah and well I will delete the keyboard on the screen shot and replice it with Perfekt keyboard so you have themes in it

Curious how this Kernerl Tuner app has worked for you, care to share your setup and experience? Does it help to save battery life?
I have installed Kernel Tuner but it seems that need a non stock Kernel because I cant edit the files in:
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/*
I have Xperia P rooted with stock ICS
I thought that with just the phone rooted I could edit those files

I've been looking for an app like Kernel Tuner which gives the option to change governor and change frequency for the 2nd core. But few seconds after exiting the app my SXS freezes and reboots, I use SSpeed rom with its SSpeed kernel, is the problem with the app or with the kernel??

I had a lot of trouble getting KA11 and KA12 to work on my sxs, so I gave up, and now use a stock rooted kernel. When I tried to get KA12 to work, I got 3s of use before rebooting. Except once, where I actually managed to overclock it. But then I couldn't get back to remove it. (Fun times...)
[ mostly Unrelated]
I really wish KA's rom and kernel was stable on my device, I quite enjoyed using it on my Neo, and it'd be great to overclock and piss off iFail 5 users: "What was that? My phone is better than your 'innovative' device in almost every way. And about half the price. And has been out longer"

No Root Apps list is complete without ROM Toolbox Pro.
It only costs a couple of quid and it'll definitely save money, instead of buying all the other apps.
It has App2sd, ROM manager, app browser, ad blocker, titanium backup, build prop editor, boot animation installer, full theme and font installer and tons more useful apps all inside it.
Definitely one of the best apps you could buy.

This the wrong section. Post it in the Q/A section.
Many things you mentioned are hardware related... Exmor sensor,HDR tech, NFC etc. These aren't some apps that can be directly flashed...
And what is integrated Chrome... :sly:
The whole android system is well integrated... Just download Chrome from play store... Its the same as in Xperia Z.
Android project butter already available by JB ROMs.
