Curious how this Kernerl Tuner app has worked for you, care to share your setup and experience? Does it help to save battery life?
I have installed Kernel Tuner but it seems that need a non stock Kernel because I cant edit the files in:
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/*
I have Xperia P rooted with stock ICS
I thought that with just the phone rooted I could edit those files

Well I think it needs a custom kernel.
I am using ThJap's Kernel and it works fine.

I've been looking for an app like Kernel Tuner which gives the option to change governor and change frequency for the 2nd core. But few seconds after exiting the app my SXS freezes and reboots, I use SSpeed rom with its SSpeed kernel, is the problem with the app or with the kernel??
Well I think the app is not working on your phone.
I also have a link to another app.
Will upload it soon.

I had a lot of trouble getting KA11 and KA12 to work on my sxs, so I gave up, and now use a stock rooted kernel. When I tried to get KA12 to work, I got 3s of use before rebooting. Except once, where I actually managed to overclock it. But then I couldn't get back to remove it. (Fun times...)
[ mostly Unrelated]
I really wish KA's rom and kernel was stable on my device, I quite enjoyed using it on my Neo, and it'd be great to overclock and piss off iFail 5 users: "What was that? My phone is better than your 'innovative' device in almost every way. And about half the price. And has been out longer"

No Root Apps list is complete without ROM Toolbox Pro.
It only costs a couple of quid and it'll definitely save money, instead of buying all the other apps.
It has App2sd, ROM manager, app browser, ad blocker, titanium backup, build prop editor, boot animation installer, full theme and font installer and tons more useful apps all inside it.
Definitely one of the best apps you could buy.

good work my friend,
i suggest you submit this to the fxp team here http://code.google.com/p/freexperia/issues/list
they could include it for the cm10 and cm9 for LWW, it will be another non working feature fixed in CM.
and if you don't mind could you please post the source for the app? i want to see how it works(out of curiosity).
thanks again
I will try !

Thanks for the suggestion but I this this app is so simple. You don't need to see the the source code to see how it works . It works exactly like music light script posted by ..::Alex00::.. but it detects whether the music light is currently on or off.

What's the different between stock and these Rom?
First of all I want to thank you and everyone who's put his effort to improve our device. Well done man and great job especially with walkman download info fix, it's 100% working.
Now I know this is a lot to ask but I have some requests and I was wondering if you could get these stuff in your rom coz that will be amazing. Now that everyone is working on the new Xperia Z stuff I thought that it might be a good idea to get a different UI and you've done well, but I liked the UI in these screenshots (especially the battery icon) and I was wondering if you can use it in your next release.
And since you got the music info thing working I will appreciate it if you can integrate it in your rom.
The 4x5 app drawer is very good but the home screen is still 4x4 and I hope you'll get that fixed
By the way I like the font it's my favorite.
Thank you so much for the beautiful rom and good luck
Another cool ROM.
Thanks, will download it soon

I've read the whole forum and couldn't find an answer to my question.
I am looking for a clean ROM for SE Xperia Mini without any stuff and apps from Sony, Google or other companies.
Is someone maybe considering to develop something like this? I know there are some great ROM's out there, I've checked and read all about them... I just rather see a clean ROM for performance and a more lasting battery life than to uninstall the apps from the ROM I want to install.
How many of you would like a clean (not just unbranded) ROM?
have you tried CM9 or CM10?
and what do you mean "any stuff" ??
It won't be an android with all those things...
Buy nokia 3310... For a better battery life, no bloatware apps simply nothing...
PREDATOR95 ->->->->a.k.a. ->-> predatOr
Open the any ROM zip, Then Delete the system/Apps.. then flash the ROM
There you go a very clean ROM of your own

Ah, c'mon guys. Be a bit more respective to a "newcomer" to xda forum.
"have you tried CM9 or CM10?" No, I didn't. Should I? What performance and battery improvement are there in comparison to the unbranded version or Sony Ericsson branded firmware with all the "bloatware"?
"and what do you mean "any stuff" ??" Wallpapers, extras, etc.
"Buy nokia 3310... For a better battery life, no bloatware apps simply nothing... " I don't like the Nokia I have a SE K700i which works perfectly well for more than 12 years now. P

Try CM10 by FXP. It is very light and smooth. There is absolutely no bloatware installed. It does not even have Google's apps ( gapps ) and has only the basic apps like messaging, dialer, alarm etc. These are the minimum requirements in a phone, so I don't quite understand what you mean by no "Google", "Sony" apps.

It makes a large impact on battery life when you crystalize google apps (exept framework and gplay) however not much else makes a huge difference

amazing! how u got 1 week ? not using the phone ?
I used greenify but it doesnt help as app processes are restarted and kept in pending hibernation! I use Xtreme Booster and it keeps my memory in check! After installing nearly 100 apps, I still get about 1.5GB free RAM! As for the battery life, I get around 8 hours of screen on time with continuous browsing and chatting via Wi-Fi which is just great!!!

PS.: I just cant do this step:
But if you use maps always and you are ROOTED, my advice is that you open up TitaniumBackup, look for maps on the list of apps, long press it and then convert to User app. Now u can Greenify it and it will still be available whenever you need it.
