Is anyone using Greenify with there Sony Xperia Z2? I ask this because the Z2 already has a great batterylife and the stamina mode,
Any thoughts on this?
thx
It makes a large impact on battery life when you crystalize google apps (exept framework and gplay) however not much else makes a huge difference
But with the Z2 i personaly dont care, i get from 7hrs to about 1 week of life with the Z2 and thats good enough for me

amazing! how u got 1 week ? not using the phone ?
I used greenify but it doesnt help as app processes are restarted and kept in pending hibernation! I use Xtreme Booster and it keeps my memory in check! After installing nearly 100 apps, I still get about 1.5GB free RAM! As for the battery life, I get around 8 hours of screen on time with continuous browsing and chatting via Wi-Fi which is just great!!!

PS.: I just cant do this step:
But if you use maps always and you are ROOTED, my advice is that you open up TitaniumBackup, look for maps on the list of apps, long press it and then convert to User app. Now u can Greenify it and it will still be available whenever you need it.

Sadly, the latest versions of Titanium backup has removed this option. But here is a work around. Uninstall Maps in Titanium Backup. Then re-install it from Play Store. Now it will install as User app instead of system app and u can freeze it.

None can optimize a battery they are self optimizing .
If BBS shows nothing then your phone is broken or you have not installed correctly or read the BBS FAQS and Guide .

Why don't you use the search function or even google? 'You create a thread for that? Heard about the rule number one? Read, read and read again. And what should you read? The results of what you searched for.
Please, any Mod to close this thread?
First of all, you need to read (if possible: with understanding) where to post Questions and Answers.
Possibly would be surprised, but... in Q&A section...
Disable Google now, use titanium backup to make a widget of freezing and defrosting Google Maps, manually refresh weather updates, siyah kernel and some undervolt tweaks, disable Google ads, other Google data analytics of apps, in wifi settings set the wifi to be timeout when phone is not used, if you use viber then go to settings and change the wifi sleep policy.
I did pretty much all of them and get 15 hours standby and 5 hours screen time, but there are still ridiculous system wake locks I can't get rid off. I am using cm10 but stock seems a bit better with battery life.

Curious how this Kernerl Tuner app has worked for you, care to share your setup and experience? Does it help to save battery life?
I have installed Kernel Tuner but it seems that need a non stock Kernel because I cant edit the files in:
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/*
I have Xperia P rooted with stock ICS
I thought that with just the phone rooted I could edit those files

I've been looking for an app like Kernel Tuner which gives the option to change governor and change frequency for the 2nd core. But few seconds after exiting the app my SXS freezes and reboots, I use SSpeed rom with its SSpeed kernel, is the problem with the app or with the kernel??
Well I think the app is not working on your phone.
I also have a link to another app.
Will upload it soon.

I had a lot of trouble getting KA11 and KA12 to work on my sxs, so I gave up, and now use a stock rooted kernel. When I tried to get KA12 to work, I got 3s of use before rebooting. Except once, where I actually managed to overclock it. But then I couldn't get back to remove it. (Fun times...)
[ mostly Unrelated]
I really wish KA's rom and kernel was stable on my device, I quite enjoyed using it on my Neo, and it'd be great to overclock and piss off iFail 5 users: "What was that? My phone is better than your 'innovative' device in almost every way. And about half the price. And has been out longer"

No Root Apps list is complete without ROM Toolbox Pro.
It only costs a couple of quid and it'll definitely save money, instead of buying all the other apps.
It has App2sd, ROM manager, app browser, ad blocker, titanium backup, build prop editor, boot animation installer, full theme and font installer and tons more useful apps all inside it.
Definitely one of the best apps you could buy.

I installed the app Floating toucher on my S5. I really love it.
The only problem is that it consumes too much of the battery. Attached is the picture of how much % the app consumes battery compares to others. It even consumes more power then the screen.
Not sure if anyone have the same problem?
Any solution for that should be great!!!

I like it coz it brings up some apps I often use most with just two touch by one hand.
With screen getting bigger and bigger now, getting anything using one hand is not possible. That apps quite convenience in that sense..

This is what frozen so far. Phone has zero issues. Everything works as it should. Battery lasts much longer. I get close to 2 days of use with 6 hours of screen on time. If you are unsure what an app does, google it. Most of the info is available online. I don't take any responsibility for damaged phones.

Prevents it from running. It's a same thing as disabling it. You need root access and Ti. Open Ti, them click on backup restore, lastly click any app you want and select freeze in the pop-up.
I disabled 95% of the apps you listed, I kept about 5% because they were things i liked/used. I'll give an update in a week to tell if I notice any abnormalities with the phones operations.
Just curious. Why would you freeze rather then uninstall? Is it precaution in case it causes issues?
If you uninstall the app and try to do a factory reset, your phone will be bricked.
What if you freeze the app and do a factory reset? Will there be any problems?
Do we have to unfreeze the apps first?

Have you guys frozen Amazon preloaded 1.03?? Thanks..
One of the things that I found lacking with my Nexus Player was the ability to reboot straight from within Android. As such, I decided to write a small app which allows me to do just this. I have also added some other small features, such as Reboot to recovery, Reboot to bootloader and Shutdown. I hope that you find my app useful and I look forward to any feedback.

Yes, sadly that is the only way I found to reboot.
It'll be nice to add icons on buttons.

Didn't know that as I am yet to flash 5.1. However the added features such as reboot to recovery as well as the fact that it's faster than going through the settings should set it apart.

No doubt this is a more elegant solution. I installed the app and will be using it, thank you! It was rather fyi.
It would nice if there was kinda "Sleep" button (not sure if it's actually possible, but I think it should be).
And, also, how about "kill all background tasks"?
+1 for the sleep part. I don't think mine ever goes to sleep

I'll look into it however I doubt that I will add an option to kill background tasks as I believe that Android does a good job by itself and closing the apps manually does more harm than good.
task kill is not necessary since Android 4.0, but I will echo the request for Sleep. It would be nice to make it Sleep just like any other Android phone.

Thank you for uploading the apk. I'll start to include an .apk in the main thread for future updates. I have fixed the compatibility issue and it should be available on the Play Store again in a couple of hours. On another note, would this interface be preferred as opposed to the current one?
