Yes, i did.

I've seen this before, you might have to delete the folder through recovery.
What ROM/recovery do you use?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app

I have CWM recovery!

I have found the some problem, but ES EXPLORER made it easy to solve.

AW: [Q] Delete folder
Doesn't work, he tells "Can't be deleted!"
Send from my awesome S3!

Flash this through recovery.
It will delete /sdcard/vrtheme.

I have flashed it through Recovery, did not help. Any other ideas?
Tried to delete with Total Commander, ES Explorer, Root Explorer. None of those are able to delete it.
I had to mount sdcard and flash through Recovery again. It worked. Thank you for your help.

Well are you rooted? You need root, and to turn on root access in the settings of ES file explorer before you can access /data/app.
/data/app is not actually in either the internal sd partition or the external sd.
I'm a motorola defy user, used google and saw this thread, I also can't install titanium backup. I dont have the .odex file on system/data/app folder.
other apps install except titanium backup
edit: follow these steps
you need to delete odex file com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup-1.odex or same from /data/app directory
now working

You need to be rooted, of course. When you open ES Explorer, press the Back button once. That'll take you to your root directory, where the system/data/app folder resides
Can't install titanium backup
To fix it, you need to remove the patch installed by Lucky Patcher.
Open Lucky Patcher. Press menu button and hit Troubleshooting, then
Uninstall Patches. This will remove all patches that were installed by
Lucky Patcher for all apps.
Now, go to Troubleshooting again, and hit Clear Dalvik Cache and
Reboot.
Now, install Titanium Backup.
Note that you have to reapply patches for all apps you had previously
patched.

Can't install titanium backup, not enough storage, use root explorer but can't find t

hi guys,,
I have a problem here...so here it is..
I wanted to install titanium backup but I could do it, it says I didn't have enough storage. Of course, I have more than enough. So, use root explorer, go to system/data/app/ and search for a file with titanium backup odex extension and want to delete it., but the strange thing is I can't find any titanium backup odex..
so what should I do?
Apps you install go to /data/app and there is no odex file. Thats only for system apps.

If you are not rooted, then you should root.
If you are rooted, then using a root browser (you can use es file explorer) go to data/app an you will find your app there. Now copy it to your sd card or somewhere so you can use it
Simply Use myappsharer from market

On the root of the phone (in root explorer) go into mnt, and then asec. Then find the folder, open it and the apk is there. If not, move the app to the SD card in settings then try.

I dont think he should be rooted to copy anything FROM internal memory. Root is only required to copy TO internal memory.
False.
If you just want to look at your internal memory with all the system folders, you need root. Without root you can't even view that folder
Yes you are correct. My mistake
Use "App backup and restore" app to backup the required app and then share it....

Don't know if it will work or even if it is acceptable,
Add an account in google play, (your dads account)
Now u may get the privilage to download it as its already paid.
Delete the accpunt
Don't forget to hit thanks
Install an app named "Clean Master"
Its free from play store
Just install it and start taking backups of your favourite apps from your father's phone....
Enjoy...

You guys... I don't think its allowed to discuss about transferring paid apks (warez) on xda. :sly:
Correct me if I am wrong.
Simply buy it. Warez is not tolerated on XDA and shouldn't be discussed.

[Q] Files disappeared after upgrading to Omega v51

Hey there. I've just been updated my omega rom from 4.1.2 (can't remember the rom version) to Omega V51, after backing up via clockworkmod.
Now the rom is working perfectly, except the fact that my data disappeared. The storage is almost full in my phone (can't update/download apps), but it seem to be empty using file explorer,
When trying to restore through recovery mod, I can choose the file I created, but of course it won't let me (md5 missmatch).
How can I restore my data??
Thanks in advance.
Look in Device\data\media..... there u will find the content of your sdcard.
just move everything to drive 0 exept 0 , obb and legacy.
There is something written about why and how they changed our internal sd. use search. Ive asked the same question couple of days ago.
Hope this helps.
Danny
Sadly the 'data' file is empty
Are u sure you looked in the data folder on your device? Not the data folder on your internal memory (sd)

I'm sure in 100%. By the way, when selecting all the files and folders in the device (via es explorer) it show about 3.15 GB, but in the phone settings it says just 387 available storage...
In ES explorer turn on root explorer... else you will see an empty data folder on your device.
This folder cant possebly be empty cause this is where android stores your app data and so on
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Still empty....
Well my friend... yhen you have a very special problem if in fact your data folder is empty.... :0
Ofcourse you did load system as r/w when you selected root explorer?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Sure...
I'm reflashing the rom now... and when getting in to the recovery "choose zip from sdcard" I can see all my missing files..
I know... that is exactly the problem i am talking about....
In android you see that your internal sd got renamed to drive 0 and your files are missing
But when you enter a "old" recovery you will see your old internal sd and your missing files
Your old internal memory got placed in device/data/media.
Which you can only see when you load your system as r/w.

Forgot to mension...you must be rooted! Have you got root? Sometimes when going to android 4.3 you loose root... check your super user app.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Can you please explain me how to do it? Clearly I'm not doing it well...
Anyone...?
Ok..
Go to your app drawr...tap SU app and check if you got root.
If you dont get any error message i guess you got root.
Then,
Go to esfile explorer. Assuming you have got the latest version go to settings-tools-rootexplorer.
If it says on then tap on rootexplorer TEXT not the on/off button.
A menu pops up.
Select: load r/w (something like this mine is in dutch)
Choose r/w
Confirm ok
Browse to device/data/media. You do this by tapping the / button in top left corner.
You should be able to see files in data by now...
Then in the media folder select all the files exept 0 , obb and legacy and place them in internal memory 0

I figured you lost root...

You could try to flash a previous version of omega.
Then root your phone
Then flash the super user update thats in the link i posted
Then flash omega newest version.
It appears that version broke and keeps breaking your root.
Have you searched omega forum?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Well?
Maybe you could also try a kernel with auto root function?
Googy max?

Backup - where?

Where are the CWM Recovery backups stored? I think I've looked everywhere but can't find them. They restore ok from the recovery view but can't find them in any file explorer. Most of them I have on internal sdcard but the clockworkmod folder is empty
EDIT: autocorrect mistake in thread title

I'm almost positive that's where I found mine a couple weeks ago, and I'm running 4.4...[EDIT: both paths take you to the same thing, just checked] It shouldn't matter what version, as per below.
An explanation as to why it's not where you think it is.
After 4.1 (correct version?) introduced multi user, internal storage is separated into numbered folders for each user, starting with 0 - the first user (ie usually only user on phones). Since CWM uses the root of the SD card instead of following this new format, most apps cannot find the backup since they access the 0 folder of int storage.
