I updated my phone Lumia 800 to windows phone 7.8 and the lock screen option in the settings wont open !
And my volume is limited 13/30 ...
How do I fix this ?

I dont know why suddenly the screen of my archos 101 8 gb get too dark that i just can see just a few of buttons and thats all i cant read anything, i contact to the custom service but they didnt answer and i dont know what i can do :/
Have you set maximum brightness in the OS's settings?
hmm customer service was very quick for me - not even 1 day ...
anyway did u use any software tools for dimming screen?
If so - restart device - longpress power button and turn back on
otherwise its propably a backlight fail and just can be fixed by archos or some exchange display for ebay...

damn so probably is the backlight XD because a didnt use any software its any way to try to high the light from the recovery mode?

i'm new to android systems, recently i bought a NEW Samsung Galaxy Y pro duos (B5512) smartphone :

it has android ver. 2.3.6 pre-installed , 2 cams , touchscreen & QWERTY keypad , i'm wondering if any one can help me with some issues:
1- can it be upgraded to the new version of android ISC 4.1.1 or 4.1.2
2- when making calls the screen dims and go to sleep even if i put it in speaker mode and not close to my face for the sensor to work so i have to press the power button to activate the screen and end calls
3- in standby mode pressing any key activates Google search feature , I need to replace it with the dialing number function like nokia asha
4- i make/end calls with the key pad but receive/reject calls only with the touch screen by sliding a circle , which is not good in many times , can i customize a key to answer/reject incoming calls instead/beside the touchscreen
I'm a system administrator & I think I can do hard procedures if guide write
please note that I need not to void the warranty

I own a HTC Mozart (orange) running on windows 7.5
After Screen timeout or If I press the lock button. The Screen keeps flickering/blinking, showing the wallpaper and time and lights on touch panel also appear. Is this a hardware issue or a software issue.
Since My Phone is a Orange carrier and I am from Pakistan where orange network is not available but all the networks work on my phone does it mean my phone is factory unlocked ? or software unlocked. Because I want to update/custom it to windows 7.8.

I couldn't find a thread for Lumia 830 therefore posting here. I need a Onscreen back button app for Lumia 830. Its unfortunate that after windows update the capacitive back buttons at bottom of screen are not working. Now i am left with only option to buy new phone. While searching over the net i found many people facing same issue with most lumia devices and the issue seems to be rampant. However a onscreen Back button which overlays on the screen can solve the problem.
Please help.
