So I just got a T-Mobile Lumia 710 RM-809 and I cant for the life of me get it to downgrade to the Qualcomm bootloader! So first I tried installing NCS and the russian rom using these instructions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMgshxLOp9k&safety_mode=true&persist_safety_mode=1 and it seemed to work, except If I put it into OSBL mode its still shows up as Nokia USB Connectivity. So I tried using NSS Pro v0.54, put the files in the correct place, then tried to install the bootloader and It came up with this:
Init connection...Already in the correct mode.
Enter bootloader mode...Done
Boot version: 240.116.132.78
Sending certificate...Failed.
Its always this, no mater if I start it in OSBL or normal mode. So then I decided to use navifirm+ to download 7.8. so I downloaded 7.8 for RM803, then flashed it to my phone (RM-809) and tried using NSS again. Still no luck. Ive tried everything I can think of! Ive tried it on windows 8 x64 and 7 x86, I have zune installed, along with the drivers that were in the program files of NCS, And I cant get it to downgrade! Anyway, Im feeling like Ive missed some crucial step, but I cant find out what!
Anybody have any Ideas? Thanks in advanced!
AHA! One of my files must have not been the correct one or something...
I used the files and NSS from http://darkforestgroup.com/forum/index.php?topic=11839.0 and it worked
nss
dude can you plz help me..when i open the NSS the wp7 tab dosent show up in the right part of the window under the flashing tab...it seems to be somwhere down where i cant scroll.

Hi,
That should not be the problem...
K... Let's try this one....
Download my modified NSS PRO(RM-803 QUALCOM BOOTLOADER is already set here)
1. SIMPLY Connect your phone (no need to turn off; you don't need to do any special sequencial keypress)
2. Run the NSS PRO..
3. From FLASH section, select WP7 tools.
4. When your phone is detected, from the connectivity sections select NORMAL MODE and WP7 Qualcomm.
5. Once done, select INSTALL.... ( ALWAYS SELCT NO when it asks to format, unless you want your phone to be dead )...
6. Once done, your phone will be in OSBL moode
7. Now you can use the NSS pro to install your custom ROM or else "downloader.exe" provided with the custom ROM.

1) goto seidea[dot]com and start off by downloading the Nokia Care Suit and Data Package Manager.
2) After installation of both also install the WinUSB driver from C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite\Drivers or C:\Program Files(x86)\Nokia\Nokia Care Suite\Drivers
3) Connect your phone with the Nokia Support Tool for Store open, this programme will have a launcher in the main Nokia Care Suite, and should have detected your phone, disconnect cable, this might restart your phone, this is normal.
4) Next fire up the Data Package Manager and search for RM-801 in product type, this will return a bunch of different variations of the firmware. Lookup the RM-801 Everything Everywhere GB rom which has the Product Code as 059Q201 and SW Version 1750.0805.8773.12220
5) After download fire up the Nokia Support Tool for Store, change it to offline mode at bottom right, or simply disconnect from the Internet, from the file menu, select Open Product and select product RM-801
6) From the bottom left pane, select Programming and then Recovery and select the new firmware you just finished downloading.
7) Flashing should take 5-7 minutes and leave the phone un-attended. Voila
Again I take no responsibility for any dammage to your phone, and you may download and flash any firmware from the entire list under RM-801 should not be a problem.
Additionally you may also want to take a backup from WP7 Easy Backup, google it or search the forums for it.
Also if you are stuck in airplane mode, goto settings>about>reset your phone. it will reset your phone and switch off the airplane mode

Hello,
Thanks for this post, really helpful.
I have two questions:
1) is it an update or is it going to reset my phone (i.e. erased apps and data)?
2) at step 6 I have a problem: when I press start in the recovery Window, it displays for a few minutes a "check mode" status and after I got a window with instructions (pluging the usb cable while pressing the up volume button) but it's not working ?!

It will clean everything, its not an update but a flash with fresh firmware technically.
Has your phone been detected by the Nokia Support Tool for Store as in Step 3?? and have you done the File->Open Product>rm-801 ??
Yes, everything is working as mentioned in your post until the flashing step where it seems that my device is not in the "right" mode.
My phone kicked into the required mode automatically, did not have to do anything, there is a mode by which u press the vol up and power button and connect the cable, the phone vibrates and is detected by the computer
Am I right that this ROM is for all the UnBranded and SIM Unlock Lumia 800?
So, Lumia 800 from Singapore/Malaysia shouldn't have problem to flash this ROM?

If factory unlocked, this rom should not have a problem, because I am in India and I downloaded the same ROM and it worked, it might bootup in airplane mode, goto settings about and reset the phone, it will reset with the airplane mode off..

Hi,
I downloaded NSS, NCS, installed driver and want to flash the Qualcomm BootLoader.
Then I followed the instruction, launch my device in OSBL and put it in the computer. The phone is detected as Nokia USB Connectivity and in OSBL mode by NSS but I don't have any "Windows want to format" message box...
Then I begin to read information of my phone with NSS (by curiosity). Then without reason my phone just restarted and reboot to WP. I thought I did something wrong and try again without touching anything in NSS ... and again it restarted after 10-15 sec more or less ...
Is it normal ? is it then safe (well the "normal safe") to flash the Qualcomm BootLoader ?
Ps : And of course if somebody else have that too, I would like to know
Hi all,
I got a lumia 800 and I would like to flash Rainbow 2.1 custom ROM.
So first of all, I need to know if it has the right bootloader and in order to do so, i need to plug in my Nokia in DLOAD mode, VOL + & POWER, and normally a short vibration and depending how it is recognized under Windows, i'll be fixed.
BUT, when i do this, my phone is juste booting normally.
So my question is: is there another procedure to put lumia 800 in DLOAD mode?
Thx
You might have the same problem as me. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1720442
Try going into OSBL mode with NSSPro.
Yep, it seems we have the same problem.
Just one point, could explain me what is OSBL mode? In nsspro 0.54, when i select OSBL (click on the arrow "change phone mode") Windows is saying "no driver found" Qualcomm bla bla, but no pop up with "do u want to format it?"
So I guess I have the right bootloader?
Also, I can hear a short vibration like it is entering DLOAD mode...
The bad news: you won't be able to flash a custom ROM. Your bootloader (the same as mine) can't be unlocked without physical hacks (opening the device and stuff)
OSBL = OS Bootloader mode, it's a mode where the bootloader basically takes control of the device.
And from what I've seen, there's 3 types of bootloaders:
- Nokia DLOAD: says "DLOAD" in the device manager, can't be unlocked without ATF box.
- Messed up Qualcomm: says "Qualcomm" in device manager but there's no "do you want to format it" popup. Same unlocking method as DLOAD, I suppose.
- Unlocked Qualcomm: says "Qualcomm" in device manager and there's the "do you want to format it" popup. Can be unlocked using software.
How do you know that I have a Nokia bootloader?
I thought that as I saw "Qualcomm CDMA technologies MSM" in the management driver window
Ok, when i try to flash a ROM, it says ""Looking for NAND disk...Not found. Are you sure you have development Qcom loader ?"
Do I need to do something to make my NAND visible? Or I'm just sayin garbage? i guess I have the reaaly messed up Qualcomm...
End of the story so?
Did you even read my reply ?
Hmmm.. yes...
I was asking you if there is a possibility to unlock the NAND partition?
Success is disgusted by some people, and will not share any files for free in the future.

In China, this Phone is called Nubia Play, and the Global version is called Redmagic 5G Lite,
but the mobile phone model is NX651J. Generally speaking, the two are only the difference in ROM.
This is the edl firmware of Nubia Play,CN version.which can repair your phone in edl mode.
All the files are from the official package without any modification!
How to do?
1.Open XiaoMiFlash.exe in the MiFlash folder
2.Click the select button to select the images in this firmware
3.The phone enters edl mode and connects to the computer with a usb cable
(If your phone is in edl mode (9008 mode) for a long time, you must long press the
power button volume + and volume-keys to force the phone to power off, and then re-enter edl mode)
4.Click Loading and see the COMxx that appears, indicating that your phone is connected. Then click Flash
5.Then just wait, prompting flash done!sucess! It means that the flashing has been completed,
long press the power button to restart the phone!
When you see the green notification light next to the front camera light up,
you can release the power button.
Good luck!Enjoy it!!!

Why do I use scarlet letter when I use flash
The brick tool has worked on a few occasions ,thank you for that but now I need more help or suggestions, when playing between the Spain ROM and China version I lost the baseband and IMEI.Then I thought, locking the bootloader back would help obviously it did not work. Now even though I flashed the unbrick tool though miflasher edl mode I am stuck with a blank screen after the Nubia logo and port Qualcomm 900e in Windows device manager.
Tried already via recovery to flash an update China version or Spain version they flashed fine however still same scenario after Nubia logo.
Not sure what my options are.
Does this work for updating or just brick?

@johnny886
Thank you for the tool.Just wondering if there is a version for Android 11 as i updated to 3.16 android 11 firmware via the usb and now I get your device is corrupt.
Obviously my problem dates back to unlocking and then relocking the bootloader which somehow bricked the phone. Even though before relocking the tool worked once the bootloader was locked the phone wasn't able to boot into system but I was not getting the device is corrupt.
I am hoping for a way to unlock the bootloader or to be able to get back into the system to tick the option in the developer settings hence I am keeping my hope for an updated unbrick tool.
I donwload the file and uncompress it, when select the folder with XiaoMiFlash is shows "could't find flash script".
There are no flash_all.bat file on folder
any help, where is that file?
(mega interrupt the download process)
@ecatombe1234
In my case said the same with regards the script but had flashed fine once started.
Just be careful if you have the bootloader unlocked do not lock it again with the fastboot flash lock.
Thanks for you, really soon, response.
Yes, I try, put phone in edl mode, refresh, flash, and recive [... COM8]:ERROR_UNSUPPORTED_TYPE 0
@ecatombe1234
Usually this is down to the drivers used for Qualcomm Edl mode. Have you installed them ?
Is the EDL mode phone recognized in the device manager as Qualcomm??
Yes, I have correct drivers, I restored the phone last year, but not now.
Xiaomi tool detects phone in bootloader and in edl mode.
Windows detect phone in edl mode as: Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM8).
I tried with QFiL too, but I am not sure the config to work qith this, because it detect mobile in edl mode.
Any way, Xiaomi tool has very few config options, I can's understand the "could't find flash script", can any one give us ligth about this error?
It was xiaomi flash tool version, I tried a lot, finally this one works, it is the only one that works with corrupted android 11 version.

I've been following your discussion on this thread and had the same problem after ota update to 3.16.
I also had initially difficulty flashing with MiFlash but finally it worked.
I immediately pressed the flash after entering EDL mode
My phone flashed and entered the Chinese mode. I then went to bootloader by hard pressing the power button and Vol down key.
In bootloader I entered recovery which allowed me to update using OTG. I used a flash with USB C and loaded the phone with NX651J v 22 and my phone is back to the previous settings.
Hi guys sadly I completely softbricked my motorola X40 phone i'm a idiot.
I flashed to a wrong firmware file (edge 30 pro) and re-locked bootloader then found it phone doesn't properly boot anymore.
I can boot it in fastboot mode but flashing in normal fastboot mode doesn't work with locked bootloader and lenovo rescue tool can't help me either.
Edit: Weirdly I managed to boot it up and it shows as a "motorola edge 30 pro" and I can control my screen with a USB mouse.
But when I try to enable "OEM unlocking" in developer options the settings app just crashes.
But my problem stays the same, i'm still stuck with a locked bootloader
Is there any chance to trick this phone into EDL mode or any working blankflash?
Any suggestions? i'd appreciate it

It doesn't matter if the oem lock is on to flash the stock firmware.
You can directly flash the right firmware via fastboot. Lenovo rescue tool may not flash...

Hi thanks for the response, how to flash directly stock firmware? which method should I use? This is what I get when I try to flash anything through adb (phone in fastboot mode) I added a screenshot from adb in windows and took a picture from my phone to show in which fastboot mode it shows.
Tried several things flashing directly from adb but it always says permission denied because of the bootloader lock, maybe i'm doing something wrong.
It's not adb, it's fastboot mode.
Where you are is right.
It will be in the mode in the screenshot of the device, that's right.
Use the one in the file i gave you.
Here are the guidelines.
01. Download the latest Firmware from lolinet
02. We extract the firmware.zip, open servicefile.xml and copy the contents into this website
03. Download the mfastboot.rar ADB i gave and put it in the rom folder you extracted.
04. We put the flashfile.bat we created (Step 02. Extract, open servicefile.xml and copy the content to this site) into the rom folder you extracted.
05. Reboot your phone into fastboot (adb reboot fastboot or press and hold Power + Volume Down)
06. Everything is ready, click on the ''flashfile.bat'' file.
07. Don't disconnect the phone until the update has finished.

I tried but the issue is there that it doesn't detect the port / device on the RSDlite tool.
Meanwhile I can see in devicemanager in windows the phone is detected in ADB/fastboot mode but RSDlite tool needs some portmode to succeed, the tool says it doesn't detect my device. I can't seem to connect it with that port RSDlite tool needs, also tried general ADB drivers but didn't help either. I also saw in one topic to make it work with RSD tool you need to install the qualcomm drivers, but these drivers don't work with this phone in normal fastboot mode. In other words I can't seem to RSD tool recognise my phone on the needed port. I think this tool only works in EDL mode (+qualcomm driver) but my moto X40 doesn't yet support EDL mode I think.

Guess we are in the same boat loll xp having indeed the exact same message. I think the RSA tool detects the right device but it checks for some sort of keys/verification and sees it isn't the right firmware so it stops flashing.
I have found out you can also enter recovery mode by selecting "recovery" in fastboot mode with the key buttons.
Then you need to press power button + down key for 3 seconds, then short the volume up key.
Youll get a other menu with also fastboot mode and adb sideload etc...
but again sadly neither fastboot or adb sideload did work for me
When I tried to flash the original firmware in sideload mode trough ADB it gives a"verification error"
In fastboot mode it says that it can't flash with locked device
I hope this info will be any useful for people stumble upon this topic in the future and maybe help to unbrick this phone.

Hey man thanks for your response, sadly i'm on a 64bit windows 11 version. Would it be any different than the 64bit driver vs 32bit you think? Because have tried this several times can't get RSD lite detect my phone . In device manager it's detected first as "fastboot rtwo s" and when the moto 64bit driver is installed it's detected as "motorola ADB interface" so it's correctly detect by the system.
My phone is also in fastboot mode never the less RSD lite tool doesn't detect anything
Guess I could try to install windows 10 32bit i'll keep this updated

Tried that too several times but thanks for the suggestion anyways.
Took my time also this evening to reinstall a clean windows 32bit version, installed 32bit moto driver again from your link.
Reboot, nope
Same issue, RSD lite doesn't detect anything while the driver and device is recognized in device manager whatever I tried last 2 weeks.
I also opened the phone and searched on the motherboard for EDL test points, no avail too.
I think the RSD tool lite or the usb driver needs a update for this device or someone needs to find out how to get this phone into EDL mode. This can take months maybe years who knows lol
I just gave up and bought myself a new phone (xiaomi 13)
