I know there are a few DNA wallpaper threads, but I feel this warrants a new thread...
I'm a wallpaper fiend and wallpapers for our phones are INCREDIBLY hard to find, so I just wanted to add some tips I've found for finding proper wallpaper for our phones that may not be immediately apparent.
First of all, I know this is pretty obvious, but any 1920x1080 wallpaper can be rotated 90 degrees to work for our phones. Also, all the stock Xperia Z wallpapers will work.
Google searches for "larger than 4 MP" come up with a lot of results: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en...p.r_qf.&fp=5394ff313a8b7984&biw=2133&bih=1016
Picspeed wallpapers can be used for rotating wallpapers 90 degrees as well as using static wallpapers without having to crop them: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.srsdev.wallpapers&hl=en If you open the Gallery directly, you can got to Set As and choose Picspeed.
Wallpapers for the iPad 3 are Very close to our required resolution, and this is a great resource: http://2048px.com/
If you find a wallpaper you like with a solid black or white background, you can make a 2160x1920 file in Photoshop and fill the background layer with black or white, If you drag the wallpaper you downloaded directly into photoshop it will place it dead center and you can easily create a correct resolution file. You can also do this with any color 1080x1920 wallpaper as long as you don't allow the homescreen to rotate.
Wallbase has a few 2160x1920 wallpapers: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5jaXRjLndhbGxiYXNlIl0.
Any system dump from a 1080p tablet will work as long as you rotate the wallpaper 90 degrees using the Picspeed or Photoshop method.
Please post any more suggestions/ links you find! Wallpapers for are phones are scarce and I feel we need an official thread going.
EDIT: Here's a zip file of all the ones I've tracked down. http://d-h.st/iLZ
Here are a few Star Trek PNG pics you guys may find wallpaper worthy...

Sorry if this is a repeat.
I have been playing with wallpapers on this nook since I got it around Christmas Time. I always give up before I fix issues with cropping, quality, etc. I found a program called "Wallpaper Plus" and it works like a charm. You open the program, search for your images in the gallery, set it and forget it.....
Nice. I've been using the hack with setting wallpaper while in landscape. So far that seems to work for me.
I just use Wallswitcher, plus it changes every N minutes which is nice.
Just tried this....works great!

The HD Rare Black Wallpapers from the market work beautifully on the NC. I wanted black and white because the color wallpapers all have a lot of grain in transition areas (I'm not sure if it's the NC or android that doesn't seem to support 32bit color)
What I founfd to work best is, find a wallpaper that is 5:4 aspect ratio with a height of at least 1024px. I then use QuickPic to set the image, either in portrait or landscape works the same.
So it seems like every time I try applying a wallpaper, it crops it incorrectly. I've made sure that the wallpapers were the correct resolution (480x800) before applying it but even if I drag the crop tool to fit the entire image, it's more of a square rather than a rectangle (the shape the dimensions would suggest) AND it's pixelated on my homescreen.
Any idea how to fix this?
After having problems similar to what you're having now, I just downloaded an app called "Wallpaper Set & Save" and it takes care of the cropping issues for me. It's not the prettiest program, but it works and you only need to use it when you want to change wallpapers.
Wallpaper res is 960 x 800. Try it out.

Yea the background is larger than the display resolution to allow you to scroll and see the background move as well. The dimensions should be what Protekk said 960x800

Hi!
I'm "trying "to install wallpaper or wallpapers in the Galaxy Tab 10.1vy believe me you do not see any good.
Let me explain: Download the funds that interest you (preferably a native resolution of 1280x800), you go to "Background" / Gallery, select the directory you want and asks you to resize the same fund, which in my NOT I never look good (always cut too).
Do you know it is because of this?
Do you know where are located the original wallpapers on our Tab 10.1v?
(let your wallet).
Thnx!
The problem lies with the fact that the app drawer also has a background that moves. Whenever you press the appdrawer you fly "up" over the wallpaper. So the wallpapers aren't 1280x800 they er more towards 4:3 aspect ratio. There for I advice you to get 1600x1200 wallpapers and cut it with the fact in mind that the wallpaper is somewhere near the bottom of the crop tool
I don't know if wallpaper scrolling can be disabled. You might have a fix for that. Good luck!

Thescreen resolution is 1024 x 600 so that would probably be a good start when picking a wallpaper.

I'd honestly use square wallpapers 1024x1024 if you can... the reason being is because when you rotate the device it will crop the wallpaper. This is why abstract backgrounds work best...But so long as you can get whatever the (important) focus/subject is of your background in the "sweet" spot, then when you rotate the device you'll be able to see something interesting. Otherwise, it might be very annoying to look at when cropped in a weird way.
I've attached an example, the original author's work can be found here:
http://www.zixpk.com/2008/06/hd-wallpaper-moonlight.html
You can find additional wallpapers here (originating from the same source):
http://www.zixpk.com/2008/04/picture-of-meaning.html
and here:

Not every wallpaper is going to work well on a tablet or any Android device that is set to rotate the background. It all depends on the aspect ratio of the device. You may have to compromise and enjoy one view better than the other...Or, if you can disable the rotation of the background image (I don't know how) then you may not need to compromise, but could be looking sideways at an image =)
Again...Abstract seems to work best.
Best part about the Note 2 is the awesome screen! However, one of my biggest issues is lack of high resolution content ! Seems like 95% of wallpapers, and clock widgets are low resolution and it drives me nuts. Any tips on where to get higher resolution widgets or wallpapers? Zedge is terrible, PicSpeed is O.K. but not great. Any others?
Have you tried HD Widgets from the Play Store? Or Beautiful Widgets?

For wallpapers, someone in the "screenshots of your note II" shared this:
www.ilikewallpaper.net/iPhone-5/Wallpapers/
Much easier than finding images that are at least 1280 in height and cropping, which I was doing before.
Beautiful Widgets is pretty terrible also. Like 95% of the skins are very low res.
I havent tried the wallpapers, but do those any work if you choose not to have your wallpaper scroll as you scroll homescreens? I thought the android wallpapers needed to be wider than they are tall for the best scrolling effect.

What do you mean scrolling wallpaper? Mine does not have that feature, I thought they got rid of the scrolling wallpapers. I really want that feature back I hate having the static wallpaper its boring. The wallpaper selector gives you a cropping outline which shows 3 rectangles, with the left and right sides as if it still does the wallpaper scrolling but it doesn't.

Yes I use multi picture live wallpaper so my wallpapers need to be 720 width and 1280 height. The ones in that site work great.

My bad - it looks like you are right (at least with regard to the Touchwiz launcher). I had to switch temporarily to TW launcher to check this.
I am running Nova Launcher - which does allow for scrolling wallpapers.
I came from the OG Droid, to the Galaxy Nexus, and then to the GN2. This is my first non "google experience" phone. Even my Nexus 7 tablet has scrolling wallpapers with the default launcher - but that tablet is running Paranoid Android. Not sure what the stock Jellybean launcher behavior is...
