I have been doing alot of research, and want to take my I9300 SIII back to stock ROM. I have been reading that sammobile.com is the best place to go to get the required firmware files. When I go, it asks for my username and password, and I am unable to create an account. Any help would be appreciated.

Scammobile is undergoing maintenance to upgrade to what they are calling sammobile 2.0 it's been down since yesterday because it takes so long to copy the files to the hosting server. (nah they just don't know what they're doing)

No offence....but first of all its not on a standard port. I am not competing with anyone...just helping out the community.... you don't wanna use it, don't !
I just tried your 2 links to download Avers' R2 but error - page cannot be found. When I tried to download R1, it required me to enter a User Id and Password. Guess these are just initial "bugs". Also tried to download Tom's and no problem encountered. Thanks for helping out the community.
I am checking....it has to do with the type of file extension. IIS is not allowing .7z to download as a file...will update later.

No competing, I agree! My server is a little bit slow when accessed from Europe, I appreciated if there is a second fast(er) mirror. Maybe we can find a possibility to sync both mirrors.
Btw, I choose non standard port because on port 80 my website is running and I didn't want any conflict.

Until Khemu has his mirror complete (I will support him if he likes), you can find 6.1 ROM's on BeeGee's Topaz File Mirror.

Thank you for your support ! I totally understand the port issue since mine is just an Email server (for now).
I am currently working on the following things for the mirror :
(1) Sending out automated emails when there is addition/mod/removal of ROM - Complete
(2) Creating a webpage to include recipient email addressses for the above automation - In Progress (Free of course)
(3) Sending out automated SMS when there is addition/mod/removal of ROM - In Progress (I can't find a free SMS provider that I can integrate, I have it working with Clickatell which is where I have a paid account)
Beegee, we can work out a sync plan once I finalize the basic mirror setup. Looking for everyone's support for this

Sync has started already. In a few hours Khemu's server has the same ROM's than mine, including 6.1 and Stock ROM's.

Known Issue : The files being uploaded are giving download access errors. BeeGee , can you please drop a reply in here when the sync is done. I will work on a fix. Don't want to mess up the sync in between.
Update: File upload should be faster now !

Upload of the files to your server finished beside the few files I mentioned in the PM.
Lets get your other services up and running and then we check how to keep the mirrors synchronized.
I guess you will update the WIKI page by yourself?

Hi all DEVs ,as you can see in the left,I am from China ,And you may know that there`s a Greet Fire Wall which was bulit by the China Government,so i cant access MuiltUPLoad or Hotfile or MediaFire directly.AS for me it`s easy ,I can use a VPN service or something else . But when i want to introduce your jobs to my friends or some one else ,there`s a Problem.They may not konw how to use a VPN or so,What then can see is just a White page with"The page can`t be shown" on it.They may think i am playing a joke on them .
So i think you can upload your jobs to another service (just a copy is enough) such as SkyDrive ,or could you please allow me to mirror your job to another server which can be accessed in China ? I know that there may some one already mirrored your jobs without permission ,They may even write there name on your jobs as if the job is done by them.But I haven`t done it even once .What i think is just that i don`t want to disobey your willings...
I will be very happy if you allow me to mirror your jobs or you can make a copy on another server...

If you have nothing to say, then don't even bother to.
@OP, since you can easily obtain the files, why don't you re-upload them and privately send the files to them? Just make sure you don't make your re-uploaded links public since most developers don't want their users to re-upload their ROMS.

Yeah, but most devs here prohibit anyone from re-uploading their ROMs but if you are going to send them privately to your friends, it's OK I guess.

I've installed the rom without skipping any steps. But i cant use ant of browsers when only wi-fi connection is open. Browsers does not open any pages. But google play and sync. works fine. When I open 3G, i can surf on browsers.
I tried re-install the rom. Still same.
Is there any body who faced that problem?
(I've written here, because I can not write the developping room because of the 10 message rule)

It's done! I could not understand how its happens but i found some meaningless text entry in wireless settings > proxy (like something default_proxy). I deleted it and problem has solved.

I hope you understand that, I followed directions on youtube and thought I was successful until I noticed my contact list was erased,,,, My fault, I must have skipped the back up part.....Anyway, now when I attempt to type in a contact name and number, it allowed me to save the information.,,, then it disappears.....I downloaded a contact list from the play store and it won't let me add any information.... I have a call log, but, can't save names to the numbers.,,,,, Any suggestions would be appreciated.... thank you in advance

have you got GMAIL account? is it set up on this ROM? are you logged on to account?
if yes it should have synchronized automatically
or
what ROM were you running previously?
if you had contacts there, you could reflash and see if they come back

I don´t know if this subject has addresen in other threads..
I have a chinese phone...and when you start i...before it ask you for the pin...is whistling the new mails...etc...
but in the ACE...the mail,even when I ask for update....take minute to load it..
What is the cause? is the Ace´s hardware(o software)so bad? (by the way I have a CFW and nothing has changed, respect the original..)
and anybody knows how to filter the [Bulk] messages that arrive to the entry tray? In the web mail ...they go to the spam tray...but in the phone..it takes its time to load and it's spam all the whole..!

Bro i guess ur internet speed is slow -_- And if it is not so then there may be some hardware or signal recievers fault... :good:
Clear the data and cache of the mail program. And re enter your mail and pass after opening program. Try to create a filter in web ui of your mail server to filter spam. And dont sync your spam folder in the phone.
