I hope you understand that, I followed directions on youtube and thought I was successful until I noticed my contact list was erased,,,, My fault, I must have skipped the back up part.....Anyway, now when I attempt to type in a contact name and number, it allowed me to save the information.,,, then it disappears.....I downloaded a contact list from the play store and it won't let me add any information.... I have a call log, but, can't save names to the numbers.,,,,, Any suggestions would be appreciated.... thank you in advance

have you got GMAIL account? is it set up on this ROM? are you logged on to account?
if yes it should have synchronized automatically
or
what ROM were you running previously?
if you had contacts there, you could reflash and see if they come back

I have been doing alot of research, and want to take my I9300 SIII back to stock ROM. I have been reading that sammobile.com is the best place to go to get the required firmware files. When I go, it asks for my username and password, and I am unable to create an account. Any help would be appreciated.

Scammobile is undergoing maintenance to upgrade to what they are calling sammobile 2.0 it's been down since yesterday because it takes so long to copy the files to the hosting server. (nah they just don't know what they're doing)

hi all,
I want to log 2 FB accounts on my phone. the 1st acc, im using native FB app on playstore, and i did try several apps for the 2nd account. but after all, IMO, native FB app is still the best now, and i want to use it too for the 2nd acc.
it means i have to install FB app twice on my phone. i google for some days and find out, changing the package name and app name of FB app to something else would let me install it twice. so this what i did:
- decompile latest FB app version 3.2.1.
- change package name from com.facebook.kanata to com.facebook.kanata2
- change app name from Facebook to Facebook2 in string file.
- recompile & sign.
all successful, but i cant install that modified app. my phone shows app not installed.
so do i miss something in modifying or it is just impossible to do that?

you should have changed it to
com.facebook2.kanata
i needed and done the same as you but changed mines to
com.fb.kanata
and changed the app name to fb

the contacts get synchronized with the added Google account and when the added Google account is removed, the contacts disappear. where do they disappear to ?
any way to get them back ?
2) lollipop soak test version is a bit laggy.
I read that official lollipop update has been released. has it not been uploaded to XDA yet ?
3) does cm12 lag as the soak test version ?
(soak test version has dialer sim selection lags and other scrolling lags)
does xposed and gravitybox work on cm12 ?

log in again frm same google account that earliar synchronised in any phone ur all contact is appear in that phone. cm12 is not laggy, cm12 is good for daily use no any major bug.

go to in ur gmail setting-scroll down-dashboard-scroll down -u see contact option, in contact option there is manage contact clic on that. all of ur contact is stored there

Hey bro just go to import export in dailer and then just press export to sd card you are done . just open that file located in sd card to restore contacts

hi sir i accidentally delete my contacts storage.apk, so i download the version of 2.3 contacts storage.apk and i copy to system app and make it rw-r-r.but still not working.error message come out "unfortunely process has stop......" is there any thing doing wrong? thanks for help

Delete your Google account and sign in back Google should automatically load your contacts

Are you sure that you have saved all your contacts to Google account but not to local storage??? If yes I would suggest you to reflash gapps if you are rooted if not then a factory reset would help you out

hi sir,oic.......my phone is spice mi350,(SIMILAR WITH XT531,DOMINO),android version 2.2.2 rooted. very old phone.i dunno about custom rom. i am thinking tat maybe i have to get original contact storage.apk file. then only my phone will work.the one i download from internet not original . if anyone one else can get me the original file,it will be so nice. good hearing from you.:good:

any chance this could be done using download mode? im stuck in the setup wizard because of this damned error. im running the twrp beta on bootloader unlocked, rooted, ms330 (k7) 5 whole days old. i was playing with an app i ought not have. also for everyone else, adb is epic for everything.....

On my good old Note Pro 2014 tablet youtube app is no longer supported so it doesn't work anymore.
I believe tablet is running old KitKat .
Vanced appo which worked as allternative no longer works.

NewPipe they have pre-built apks going back to 2017. Earlier than that is source from what I seen. Maybe one of them will work.

As you scroll down looking at version numbers you will see at the bottom of each version an assets button. Click assets and it will show a few different files, you want the one with .apk extension. As far as which one you would need I have no idea. Grab one of each until you find one that works for you.
You will want to get the newest one you can that will still support your device. You don't want to go back any earlier than needed.

If you installed latest version then you may be able to get your playlist in settings > content > import database
I don't really know, may have to ask someone from newpipe how to do that
