How to Downgrade from 4.2 to 4.1.2...
I'm using RootBox JB i9300 V3.7.1 and i want to Downgrade to official 4.1.2
Can anyone tell me how can i Downgrade or flash samsung official 4.1.2 rom!!

i already did it!! but it hangs on samsungs boot logos... :/

Boot recovery and do factory reset, should boot then (this will wipe sd as well)

There is only one (Polish) stock JB unbranded (not Vodafone) rom atm http://www.hotfile.com/dl/173577508/3316be3/I9300XXDLIB_I9300OXFDLI1_XEO.zip.html.

what should i do if i want to clean restore
will i be able to OTA update if i restore back to 4.0.4 nandroid backup and then OTA update to Jelly bean ?
or should i restore to stock 4.0.4 android and then OTA update to JElly bean ?

Download the OTA 4.1 Poland firmware & flash it through Odin. That's it, you are good to go. Then you can root & install CWM.

You will only receive OTA`s for the rom of your region, if you want that just flash the Indian JB rom and do not root, If you are rooted OTA`s will not be installed as you have a custom recovery. You can however update with Kies, but you will loose root. See item 3 in my signature how to flash with Odin.

Bummer i can't use kies on WINDOWS 8
so only way i see is
first i will reset user partition then restore to 4.0.4 NANDROID backup
then use Stock Jelly bean Deodexed rooted rom by wanam

yes - for stock, just download an ICS rom from sammobile.com and flash through ODIN.

Hotfile has apparently been taken over by the US Government and I need a copy of the official att I717UCMD3 jelly bean for my note. I'm stuck at the moment and without it I'm toast. Does anyone have a working link (aka not hotfile) of the att i717?

Kies will update your device firmware and software. Modem and rom. The latest official update is 4.1.2. It will reinstall the stock recovery and remove root too. You'll have to re-root with twrp or cwm again using odin and a pc.
I think www.sammobile.com has a downloadable and flashable rom if you register.

1st you must update your firmware: try OTA-update or, if it fails, download your newest firmware from sammobile.com and flash it with Odin. Control, whether IMEI is correct and you can make calls.
2nd root with CF-autoroot. Install TWRP-recovery.
3rd install any custom ROM.
i have install marshmallow 6.0.1 on my s2 it work well with pda i9100xwms1 after i will downgrade it on jellybean 4.1.2 i use a new rom official i9100xwms3 to flash after it reboot on Samsung logo. i think if i flash it to the first it will work so it is the same thinks it reboot on Samsung logo. please i need help to fix it.
i think that repartition can create this issue and how can repartition for jellybean and flash.

Yes you need to repartition back to stock partitions I think. Your can search for a stock pit file for this.
