okay im not a noob and i flash a lot. I have always been able to recover from soft bricks etc.. but this time im lost i tried flashing venum ice reborn and it bootlooped so i tried to boot back into recovery to restore a backup it still just bootlooped, i got it into odin mode flashed my stock rom odin recognized my device it did its thing passed green light i thought okay good to go but it still just bootloops. I have a us cellular model but use a converter and ive flashed all the sprint roms with no problem even this one once before. I can get into odin mode but it jjust bootloops after its done doing its thing ANYONE KNOW WHAT TO DO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE THANK YOU!!!!!!

Any ideas please... Im really lost I can get into download mode and pc recognizes device it flashes stock rom successfully and then just bootloops insurance wont cover it and I cant reset flash counter. Everytime ive had an issue I just dl stock rom and flash in odin and boom good I really need help

Yes and i flashed thst same rom before but this time before it finished flashing it bootlooped on its own see i have a converter i been using to flash sprint roms and it never failed before

Ya that sucks. I don't really know any the us cellar or flashing different carriers ROMs, but it sounds like that thread I linked you to. It may be able to be jtaged but I'm not sure. Maybe someone shatter then me well pop in and comment.

Mobile tech is really good. I've never used them but many have. Now I'm not sure if it who's fix it or not. I think it could, but maybe email them or hopefully someone with a little me knowledge just drops in here

Hi I've got the GSIII & my wife has the GSII. We both use the same pc but now none of the fone will connect to my pc to transfer stuff over. It just keeps saving Hardware I'd missing, contact Samsung.

Just try another USB-Port
I've had that happen a couple of times myself, a restart of one or the other usually did the trick. You could maybe try a reinstall of kies if restarts dont help. After that I'm not sure.

Before going to the extent of reinstalling things. maybe try DL'ing and installing the USB Drivers - Search on XDA is down right now or I'd give you a link - but when it is back up, browse for SAMSUNG_USB_Driver... Ah Googled it and you can DL it from http://d-h.st/h11
Run it on the PC with Admin permissions (right-click and [Run As Administrator] and then try connecting the phones.

None of the above worked but uninstalling skies & drivers then restarting pc then install skies plus susb driver v1.4.0 worked.

I was using original moto 2.3.5 version.i had 2,3 dead touchscreen spots dat were manageable though...
but now when i flashed with MROM n NEUTRINO alternatively, the dead spots have increased ...
the whole central midline 1cm line is irresponsive,,, i am not even using OC kernel, but still this happened...
any idea why this happend n what should i do ???
its really irritating nowwith all these dead touch spots...

Its very rare but a dirty flash could cause misalignment. Completely different symptoms however.

Hey, I just bought a mhl cable off amazon with the intentions of using it to play games with my phone on my TV. When I hook the cable all up (HDMI end to my TV, usb to charger, and micro usb to phone) all I get is a notification telling me I'm connected to a video out source.
Also, when I expand the notification I'm told to start a video or slide show to view on an external monitor, which also doesn't work, and all my apps open in landscape even if I'm holding the phone upright.
I'm running newts sense 5 rom too. I actually wanted to post this in his thread but I guess I can't without 10 posts.

How about trying it on a stock based Rom to see if it works?
I have Viper ROM. I plug in the MHL and HDMI cable and it just automatically mirrors everything to the TV. I don't have to change any settings.
my mhl works on viper but I haven't been able to get it to work on newts rom with any of the kernals so im assuming it just that rom that wont work

Are you sure the cable you bought is compatible with our device? I have been looking into this also and on radioshack.com and there are different cables for HTC phones and Samsung which is what I needed. Something about the pins in the micro ish.

Yeah, I made sure it was the 5 pin model. I'm thinking it's a software issue like everyone else did. I'll post my results after I test it on a stock based rom. :thumbup:

Alright, so I flashed ViperDNA and as soon as I plugged the mhl cable into my phone everything locked up and I had to do a hard reboot to get it working again. I'm not sure what that's all about, but could someone point me towards a mhl cable that they've personally confirmed works for our phone?

Alright, so I reflashed ViperDNA and then flashed Beastmode 5.0 and now everything's working great. Well except I can't get out of landscape mode while mirroring my phone to the TV but I just figured it was supposed to do that.

No, my phone does everything mirrored. Portrait or landscape.
My phone switches between portrait and landscape as well
I just use the media link and works fine for both roms

yeah this also happens to me but only when im running the beastmode kernel, no matter what rom im on. Changing kernel has worked for me but I would really like to get it working on sense 5. Also a sidenote, I Loose all signals (3g,4g,wifi and gps) randomly while my MHL cable is plugged in. Does this happen to you?
My wifi keeps going KAPUT. I have to reenter the code if I reboot, or flash something.
Anyone got any thoughts??

What rom are you on?
I suggest you flash this if running one of the stock rooted roms.

Mine also, I am sad to report. It is definitely an issue. Seems to be associated with open networks. When I'm on my home WiFi, no issues.

Ok just upgraded to kit kat and found something I do not like and see no way to go back to the old way.
When swyping and you make a mistake you used to be able to just erase the letters one by one till you get to the mistake now if you hit backspace it erases the whole word.
Anyone know of a way to fix this?
