Hi for about a week now my S2 has been acting odd it freezes up or turns off ( lasts a min or so ) normally ( 80% ) of times i get facebook not responding pop up ive tried uninstalling FB and reinstalling to no avail..Im running ICS and have had no probs since May..Ive just done a hard factory reset and it seemed ok for about a hour then i got a freeze if i delete official FB and put FBM on it seems ok but it also has done it with other apps... Any advice ? should I take back to o2 or is there something you guys could help me try ? cheers Mark

I hoped when I did hard reset it would take ICS off but it didnt..My phone is not rooted ( only got in april ) how can i take back to original gingerbread 2.3.5 without doing anything Hi tech lol ?
i think that ICS is your stock...if you want to go back to GB you'll have to perform some hi-teching a bit

after update to another Android version, it is recommended to perform factory data reset.
Good luck

All he would have to do is go to www.sammobile.com and download a stock firmware and flash through Odin. Do not use repartition or pit files and you should be fine

As the other guys said, you may have the stock ics already on your phone when you bought it. And hard reset won't affect the android version as it only erases the data, settings or even files on your phone. You could check www.sammobile.com or look for threads here which contains stock Gingerbread and you need to flash it through odin, the high tech way

Hi everybody. I have one big problem with jelly bean leaks. When I flash jelly bean (Wanamlite rom) instead of ICS, sometimes it got freeze. But the problem is, the phone freeze always I try to turn on mobile data on my phone. Never have this problem with ICS. No problem with wifi internet. Only when turning on mobile data. Phone freeze during the operation of turning on. ALWAYS. Maybe someone have the same problem or know how to avoid it?
Which version are you using? Do you follow all steps?
I think reflashing may resolve the problem. Still not heard this problem so far.

i used wanamlite rom based on XXLDI5 leak. I made full wipe with all steps before. Tried XXLGI3 before, but it was the same.. I'll try once more with XXLDI7.
I just got a new phone, my mom bought it for me with the money we had saved and she hasn't even paid it whole yet.
I rooted it fine, but then I tried flashing CM10 on it, everything went smoothly but then it got stuck on the CM startup/splash screen or whatever it's called... when I turn it off it automatically reboots and the same thing happens.
it was locked to a carrier, that was probably what screwed it up... I don't know what to do...
if you need any info, please ask. I might know it.
please help :/

Are you sure you have an international GS3?
THANK GOD. I found a stock rom and flashed it and everything wen't back to normal.
and yes, 100% sure it's the 9300, XXBLFB
now there's another problem, it's the stock 4.0.4 rom, and I clicked to update because I want Jelly Bean on it, but it says no updates available? what does that mean? can I flash a 4.1 stock rom over it? and where can I find it, I've been looking with no luck...

did u ever get the JellyBean update to work? I have the tmo S3 and was able to update via Samsungs kies software. However, in sep I had an ATT Galaxy Note and an international factory unlocked Note around for a bit, and the ATT version was supported in Samsung Kies for the ICS upgrade, but the international was not. I believe ICS had to be flashed in the end. I just thought I'd let u know what happened for me, hope it helps. Good luck

can I install any one of those 4.1.1 roms on my branded locked I9300XXBLFB?
do I need to do anything before or just use odin to flash it?
i am using Samsung galaxy s2 with Resurrection JB 3.1.2... i tried installing the latest update which is the 3.1.3 but after that, my phone goes black and later that i know, i goes dead... then i try to power it on again then my battery goes 10% from 80% before it goes black.
then i decided to re-install again the 3.1.2 and will wait for the new update but unfortunately, the same incident occurs... i checked my battery physically and i found out that my battery is swelling..
please help me guys, i don't seem to get the problem... i dont know if it's on my battery or the rom?
Thanks for those who will reply to this post. more power to you guys!
3.1.2 is stable? check the thread. If it is not, just go back to the previous version.

Yeah, for me.... Because there is no major issue like this one occurred to me while using 3.1.2

i was in 3.1.2, then i installed 3.1.3, then there goes the problem... then i decided to go back to to 3.1.2 then, the problem still occurs...
go stock, wipe it all up and then go back to custom. That's what I would do.
What kernel you are on? Have you tried other ROM? I am trying to help you narrow down the problem. If all software on your phone give you same problem, it most likely hardware related.

You must have changed something, try to recall what did you do during ROM change process. All problems are a result of change or series of changes. That's why we have Change Management in the managing of IT systems.

just flash a slimmed down jb like militant rom, all bloat removed, rooted, busybox and like 10 times faster then stock anyway.
