They are actually working OT on getting things done. According to the other site so far Kernel is done, new ROM is done and they are just waiting on the new recovery to get done to marry everything together properly. Looking forward into trying it out.
Say 1gb of ram really. It was built for the nexus phone's and tablets at the moment. I tried to install it on my vs gtablet and no dice.

Rom dropped today. We will be posting on XDA in the next few days. Rom can be found by googling " [ROM - 10.1] BETA DIRTY-BEAN 4.2.X - Team DRH (Update 02/22/13)"
Fosser, you guys really work miracles with this device. Lol, just have to wait for my battery to drain so I can get back into the fun.

Relax, the guys in the CM team are really good at what they are doing, just because they hit a wall doesn't mean they wont get past it.
And then he posted this right after.
ATM we have a show stopping bug on the Touchpad with the input system that I haven't been able to workaround. No idea how long it will take

May I ask who is Erik Hardesty ?
It's dalingrin, the main developper of CM7 for our TouchPad (among other projects)
A little bit of reading here or of his twitter would have give you the answer directly

Ridiculous. You are running cm on your tp and don't even know whose hard work it is! Where is the appreciation?
I must be missing something here they haven't even released a beta for cm7 so how can a ics ROM be ready?
They've done a lot of the hardware work already, which will carry over to CM9. When the ICS source dropped, they turned toward developing that into a workable port. That's what the plan has always been. A number of big issues have been fixed since the most recent alpha even, so the lack of a gingerbread-based beta has little bearing on how soon we would see an ICS release.

Haven't been reading the forums lately, so I don't know if somebody's already working on this, but I want to port over ics android 4.0 to the nook tablet. I need one tester, but not for a little while, mainly because I don't even own the tablet.
The tester is going to have to be there when I need him and be able to report bugs, logcat, etc.
This is my first attempt at developing, so expect things to be slow
Also, if some of the devs are willing to help when I need it, that would be amazing
This is not a guarantee that you will get ics. But its a hope
I would love to be your tester, and yes some guys are already working on CM 9. They even wanna get the 3.2 kernel working...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1440438 has the latest progress from ics porting (plus the 3.x kernel thread you posted).
Yeah, both the CM7 and CM9 development here are pretty closed...CM7 insists they want a polished product before release and CM9 is going above and beyond with their kernel work, but I know for a fact that they had it 90% a few weeks ago, so I don't know why the news is slow in coming.
I'd gladly help you if you need some work, I not only have a NT but I have an 8-core machine for compiling, I'd be more than happy to build from your github as well.
Hmm... Well if they're that close to being done.. :/
But, the only thing stopping me is having the proprietary libs, which I can't get without the NT.

I can't help you now, but here is some tips.
Use Clockwork Recovery, you can restore and backup and install
Use some drivers from Kindle Fire Android 4.0 Firmware, not too many though.
Rest of the options should be Nook Tablet-based. You might be able to use some Nook Color drivers, but I highly doubt it.

This is great news! Just a few questions to the devs:
- Are the Adreno2xx/GPU/hardware acc drivers running on it?
- Is the wifi and mic functionality stable?
- Google Play store able to install apps?
- Is Project Butter noticeable?

Nice work, glad to see JB development. Looks pretty fast and hopefully ICS drivers won't be too much of a pain to port to JB.
this gonna make hp touchpad another 9.7inch tablet first with jellybean.
i remember we got ics before every tablet have it also.
thx cm team.
so I'm running JB on my Samsung Epic 4g. Yes you will note the difference from ICS.
Hello everyone! I was here at work in the nursing home doing absolutely nothing and decided to try and port the Kindle Fire Jandycane JB 4.1 rom over to our tablet. I worked meticulously and was able to get the port to work and it seems rather stable except for our kernel limitations. I do not however get the updater script edited properly so a couple of features specific to the UI on the rom do not function but it is a nice alternative to the CM10 rom and it works fairly well. I especially like the baked in file browser and theme support! If anyone would like to add anything to make this rom better, PM me. We have a great community here and we all cant wait until the CM10 rom is as smooth as butter! I build this rom for fun and unfortunately I cannot provide any support since i dont really know what I am doing This rom is hosted on Mediafire and will only be available for thirty days as of 7/29. If a couple things get fixed such as proper mic support and location services, then maybe someone could host it on Goo-im. Thanks and I hope you like. P.S. Use Jelly Bean gapps and go check out the original authors page at xda developers kindle fire jandycane.
This is the link to the file. http://www.mediafire.com/?a3dzbc21v0tyfcd

Here are some UI pics. The rom is set to tablet mode which is the default with Jandycane. The other pic is of the baked in filebrowser. I believe this rom also has root access yea!

Everything seemed to work fine. Liked the home screen layout. Switched back to miui. Still had random reboot and blank screen issue. I know this is because of the kernel. When thoes issues get fixed this will definitely be the rom I would go to. Thanks!

looking good
Well, i have just installed this, and it seems to be as good, if not slightly quicker, than the other JB rom on the site. to be honest, its just niced to actually see a new rom pop up. im not dissing anyone obviously, but, i (still) have a htc desire, and the rom choice on xda is staggering, so, ive been hoping a few more devs/roms will start appearing!
good work so far, not had one prob with it so far an hour in

Will be giving this a run over the weekend, I'll be stuck at work with hopefully not much to do.. I have been looking forward to seeing more devs pick up on the Nook Tab, surprised that the Kindle has so much more following given it doesnt have the SD card expandability of the Nooks
Well, the Kindle Fire has a pretty-much finished kernel, while ours still has it's holes in it. More developers should arrive when problems are fixed.

This port was quick and dirty. I will be more thorough once the 3.0 kernel is fixed. In the meantime i am thinking of porting over another Kindle fire rom based on 2.3. Any suggestions?
Just one tip: Anything you port that's 2.3, use our CM7 as the base.

No, I'm talking about his next port. He said it was Android 2.3 based.
Ive been using this for over a day now, only had 2 or 3 reboots, so, love it. Well done again. Both the ics rom and other jb rom reboot too much for me for some reason.
Another problem ive noticed, is that whenever I do a nandroid of anything other than cm7, thwy always either have md5 mismatch, or they just boot loop. This rom did as well, so I'm just sticking with this for the minute!
