Hi The link does not work can you please PM.

How can I make update.zip from OTA update? Cos I cant return to stock, lost my nandroid, but friend of mine has same phone with same cid, she will eventualy recieve update, is it located somewhere on sd card (if I choose install later after downloading ofc), or do I have to do something more to get it?

Hello,
First of all, sorry for the late update. We are speaking here about the OTA update from 1.18.111.1 to 1.18.111.3 (this is android 4.0.4, since the T-MOB101 didn't receive the 4.1 yet).
I can't remember where it was saved (I think in "downloads" folder on the SD card, but I'm not sure), and this is only the update not the whole ROM or backup.
Here is the update (again copy-paste, since I did not post 10 msgs to this forum yet):

[Q] Downgrade to Honeycomb after rooting

Friend, now that our tab is finally rooted.. thanks again to all who did this for us
Now, anybody have tried to downgrade to honeycomb after rooting?
How was the procedure, simple or tricky?
PS Procedure is suggested by Cat McGowan here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31723451&postcount=194
I tried but when I boot in recovery It sais E: /sdcard failed to mount can't found such directory
and when I put an SD card in it sais E:/sdcard failed to mount invalid argument
So don't know what to do?

Xperia tab??? There is no honeycomb update for them, correct? It may be possible to use AIO to change to a org tab s region. However this has not been confirmed to work. May brick device from changing region.zip though

OH, just thought you were new here lol. Look in dev for AIO tool, downgrading has been around for 6 months lol. Use version 4.0 not version 4.1 (bit buggy) check out my old FAQ in signature for details, Which is where Cat McGowan redirected you, Piece of piss really, can't mess it up, semi-automated.
Cheers

There is no India 3.2.(1) anymore, removed from Sony servers. Change region to US (WIFI ONLY). Then you can downgrade to 3.2(1). Then you could change back to India. Use AIO too custom update to Downgrade to 3.2.1 with root (to be safe) even though the US 3.2.1 online here is rootable with the old method.
Good luck
Stifilz
Okay bro, i will try by changing region.
Bro, with AIO how can i get the pre-rooted version of 3.2.1, where i can i download prerooted 3.2.1. files? sorry for asking too noobish question bro

Run aio, change region > 25 > 1 for 16gb, 2 for 32
Download from my update links in signature, scroll down to US and download, copy to external sd card
Run AIO, 3 > 1 > hold vol up and turn on tab while still holding up, > let update run, when it stops AIO says select update, on tab choose update 0042 (you downloaded) > on pc y
Follow screen prompt, tahdah lol
Stifilz
Perfect, i'll try that soon.
PS i was thinking why i am downgrading to HC? lol
Actually i am just having microphone issue after ICS update, and i have heard its not in honeycomb?
What else, what are the benifits of HC over ICS

Okay thanks, i think i will stay with ICS for now and enjoy root :fingers-crossed:
Downgrade to Honeycomb is VERY EASY
crack the ver num in prop files
then flash stock 3.2.1 rom by sd card
every thing will be done in 10 mins
but since you have not 3.2.1 rom of your regain, change regain is need
some good of 3.2.1
battery is more long life
more app and game
better ui
I somehow managed to downgrade to HC from link proved by condi in his all in one topic but it (hc) turned out to be kernal 10 which is unrootable
how can i root this baby now?

You will be very lucky to find that file. You should go up to ICS then preroot the HC update and then flash using AIO.
Hence giving you HC rooted.
Stifilz
THAT 3.2.1 rom is not easy to find
suggest you upgrade to 4.0.3 use ota
root it
then change to us 3.2.1 r2 rom,(Or china rom,i have it
last root it again
PS:not all ver#10 HC is un-root able!,my china 3.2.1 r2 is rooted by aio!
Yea bro, i have again upgraded to ICS but not with ota.. but downloading req file from stifilz bro's update thread. It all went just fine.
Yesterday, rooted it too. All well right now.
Now regarding HC, i have few doubts in mind. Can you guys please suggest:
-I have not yet understood how to install HC that is with kernal 10 which is rootable. stifilz suggested to install with aio to get the root on HC but i don't really get the steps. Can you please elaborate how to install HC and get it rooted step by step?
-In ICS, there is patch in aio to make it enable "Use sd card 2 as USB storage ", is there something available like this in HC?
-I sometime get microphone issue on ICS, has somebody else face similar issue and on HC microphone work well?
Thanks again guys for your help

normal HC is rootable, just use aio, make sure ver is 3.2.1,not 3.2
by now, only china #10 version is rootable,i 'am lucky chinese
maybe u can make a pre-root hc rom by aio, just like pre-root ics (just in theory)
-In ICS, there is patch in aio to make it enable "Use sd card 2 as USB storage ", is there something available like this in HC?
USB storage is ics ONLY
-I sometime get microphone issue on ICS, has somebody else face similar issue and on HC microphone work well?
i'am no care about that

[Q] Jelly Bean XXDLIB Galaxy S3 Official Build flashed and works, however...

Hi guys, i'm new to this forum and i'm not sure if i'm even posting in the right area, but i have a sh*t load of questions maybe you guys who are more pro android answer for me.
Firstly, i have a galaxy s3 unlocked which i purchased from the U.K however i live in Australia. I have recently flashed using Odin, the new official Jelly Bean update for the galaxy s3 i9300 model. The flash worked well and every went smoothly and i have been running jelly bean on my phone without a problem for 3 days now.
My questions:
1. Will i be eligible for future automatic OTA updates from now onwards after flashing this release?
2. The flash firmware file was 700 something megabytes as opposed to the expected 280 mb OTA update, why such a large difference?
3. Would my device have run 'faster' or 'be happier' if i had done an OTA as opposed to this flash thingy?
4. I use airdroid to copy alot of things across to my S3, in the file browser i would see System (onboard memory and system files) and exSDcard (my micro sd card). Now all i see is sdcard0 and System. Neither of which is my actual micro sd card! I now have to browse into System, then STORAGE, and then i'll see my microsd card! I have a feeling that the method i used to install Jelly bean messed with something?! i have also sent an e-mail to the developer of Airdroid.
Thanks for your time guys. Hope to hear a reply(ies) soon!:cyclops:
1. Since you are likely to have rooted your handset in order to install a non-standard ROM, you will not receive OTA updates from that point onwards.
2. You probably flashed a full ROM instead of an OTA, hence the size difference.
3. No. The ROM you flashed, assuming it is the most recent Samsung leak, will be the best one you can get at this time.
4. This is dependent on the file browser you're using. Some will display the SD card as 'Local Storage 1', others will list it elsewhere. Try using ASTRO instead of the built-in file browser, it's much more capable.

Thanks for your reply!!!
I haven't rooted my handset, never done it before and don't know how. This method that's been described on many websites is a 'non-rooting!?' way of flashing.

My questions:
1. Will i be eligible for future automatic OTA updates from now onwards after flashing this release?
You will get the Polish update via KIES .
Or you flash a later update via Odin when it arrives on XDA .
2. The flash firmware file was 700 something megabytes as opposed to the expected 280 mb OTA update, why such a large difference?
One is a full update OTA just updates new stuff .
3. Would my device have run 'faster' or 'be happier' if i had done an OTA as opposed to this flash thingy?
NO

You can flash any SGS3 I9300 International firmware from any country anytime .
Only two possible problems Modem and CSC may be country specific or better reception on one version of the modem .
Modem can be flashed separate and likewise CSC or just use manual entry of network details .

How to root HTC one 4.4.2

The title basically says it all. I want to root my HTC One. I found this All in one toolkit by hasoon2000. Will it work with the HTC one kitkat version or do I need to find a new one? If any of you have a root HTC one that's running kitkat, can you please tell me what tutorial you followed if you followed any. Also, would I lose sense 5.5 when upgrading because I sorta like it. Thanks in advance.

It's the same as it's ever been
unlock your bootloader at HTCDEV.com
Flash custom recovery (TWRP)
boot to custom recovery and on exit it ask to Root
swipe to choose yes
As a followup to this question just want to verify the viability of my plan. I am getting a replacement HTC One on warranty next week due to a camera issue. My current One is unlocked/rooted/s-off stock 4.3. I would like my new phone to just be identical but with 4.4.2 so my plan is:
Activate new phone do not log in to google.
Update to 4.4.2
Root as per past instructions
Take backup in TWRP of old phone
Copy and load backup to new phone so its identical
Profit.
Sound like it will work?

The best bet is to learn to use adb and fastboot, so if you get in a bind later you know how to handle it

New OTA received in Taiwan!

In Taiwan we received a new OTA at Jul/29
You can take a look at what it is at https://www.dropbox.com/s/bpliklbmu...a_TW_3.22.709.1-3.14.709.2_release_384137.zip
It's 3.22.709.1. It only says "system performance update". You can take a look at this at http://attach.mobile01.com/attach/201407/mobile01-7e5c55e59b19fac70c8f7b0935bb216a.png (It's in Chinese...)
Also HTC One Mini also received a update!

Firmware update 1.53.502.11

http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-desire-610-att/news/
Here is an update I found .it's Still android 4.4.2. All that I know is it says bug fixes on the provided link for download . I flashed the firmware through fastboot just now . Works fine ,I don't notice any difference from the stock firmware other than the software numbers being different. There are two variants for download . One for pre paid and one for post paid. I have a contract so I used post paid.
I just wanted to post this for all to dig into and also because through hitting check for updates on my phone ,this update did not show up .I found it manually online .
I've developed some roms in the past for the atrix 2 . I am quite possibly going to be diving in once again as its been a year since I stopped for the a2 and currently this phone needs some development going on .

this update just att phone??
I'm waiting for 5.0 from HTC, but I'm curious if the update will fix a problem with the display. 610 needs devs
I'd really appreciate some confirmation on this. I started the ruu tool and saw it will wipe internal data (prior to reading that I didn't think an update would erase data) Not a big deal. I stopped it and made a backup.
But then I stopped to consider if there are any more surprises.
The 2 step guide right in Google search results does not mention needing adb environment. But other places say you need android sdk tools installed. This is an issue because I don't own a pc. I have everything I need on my Mac but of course I cant run exe files.
Do I need an adb environment for this to work? I can borrow a pc but would prefer to not put too much stuff on it because it's not mine. Just running one program one time--not a huge bother.
Also are there any other things I should be aware of before continuing? With other devices I'm not nearly as cautious but this is my main phone. Thanks.
Sorry to keep coming back but I did a clean install of Windows just for this update. The pc I had really needed maintenance. Still not certain it's necessary but I've got the adb environment set up and working. I just have a few questions...
1. Reading older posts, it says the ruu will relock boot loader and bring me to stock, is this true?
--in case it wasn't assumed, I AM rooted with jmz kernel, unlocked and twrp
2. This WILL lock and unroot my phone automatically, correct? I don't have to do it before?
3. If the answer to the above is yes, I will need to unlock it and root again?
4. Once this is done, can I flash my backup with twrp? Of course that assumes it will be wiped.
Sorry again for what's most likely annoying questions. This is my only phone and bricking it would be bad, worse than other devices that are just for entertainment. I VERY tempted tojust plug in my phone and run ruu but I really want to know exactly what will happen.
For all the threads here I'm surprised this isn't being talked about.

***ok. I finally read the return to stock section and it also is done with ruu. And you do need relock boot loader. Of course this means it will wipe my data.
Sorry. I've read that post before but skipped right over that section. I thought there might be a better way.
TWRP must be essential to flash the kernel but otherwise it really complicates the update process. Without it I could just unroot with Supersu or other tool, take the ota then reroot.
I wonder what differences are in the ROM for pre-paid and contract customers?
Naturally this thread is in relation to the AT&T supplied phones for an RUU with 1.53.502.11 / 1.53.502.12 ( 1.53.502.12 for pre-paid devices)
On HTCdev the main version for the WWE phone is currently only 1.31.401.2, with the Australia (Telstra) as 1.31.841.3.
I have the Australian Telstra supplied HTC Desire 610 (Navy Blue) and it is running 1.31.841.3 with Kernel version 3.4.0-g29bee57 [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT
Does anyone know of an RUU for the WWE ROM? or know if the AT&T 1.53.502.XX kernel version is 3.4.0 or 3.4.10 or other?

I received an OTA today on my AT&T 610.I'm rooted with boot loader unlocked and on rooted stock.I copied the OTA file if anyone is interested.I'll upload it and make a shared dropbox folder. There isn't any version info that I can see.I'm.not equipped to read the build prop inside the zip at the moment.Any interest just let me know.

I'd say it's just a prep update for the lollipop we are supposed to get in March.

I heard we weren't getting lollipop till next fall...did they bump it up or was my info wrong?
That did seem like a long wait. By that time a new os might be rolling out!
From what I be read we can expect it.in mid March.I will try to hunt my reference points back up so you can have a look too.

And if its not too much trouble would u try to summarize how you got the update? Did you just relock bootloader, factory reset via HTC menu and take a normal ota? Then unlock it and root again?
Ive rooted and flash ROMs on a few devices already but am surprisingly still confused about this. This phone's gotten so little attention there just isn't much out there to learn from.
Not to mention it'll be a bit time consuming since the PC I used to root this has since died so I'll need a new token. That's where the ruu adds another layer of confusion--as far as I know it doesn't automate the unlock so where's the benefit there? Once you're unlocked, running root tool is easy ...and if you have to unlock and unroot anyway--at that point wouldn't just allowing the ota be easier?
You see. I've got lots of questions. Any help would be much appreciated. Running same firmware 6 months now.
More recent Firmware?
Anyone have an RUU for a more recent firmware? I actually flashed an older version than this (the one in the return to stock thread) thinking it was the latest.
I left it on there for I think around 24 hours, waiting for an ota update before rooting but it never happened so I thought it was already the latest version.
