[Q] Odin Failing Recovery Every Time AT&T Note II: Please Help - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Have an AT&T Galaxy Note II.
It was rooted and there were some strange problems happening with the phone from time to time so I decided to go ahead and unroot it.
As I have done before, I decided to restore the Galaxy Note II to its original firmware.
I got the AT&T SGH-I317 firmware from Sammobile.
Loaded Odin in Windows. Loaded the downloaded TAR file.
Upon hitting start the recovery would go about halfway then suddenly FAIL.
Tried it on a different computer. Same thing.
Now I cannot boot my phone. When I do, it goes into a firmware error mode and suggests KIES recovery.
KIES cannot even see my phone at this point.
Anyone have any suggestions? I am in the process of redownloading the firmware file, but I am guessing that is not the problem.
Thanks

Unable to update firmware via Kies

Hello All,
I was attempting to update the firmware via Samsung Kies, boot into recovery as instructed, and now I'm stuck on the Downloading screen. I've went back and restarted the process and it pop up with a Notice message in Korean or Japanese (this also popped up the first time I've tried), clicked OK, and nothing else happens. In Kies, it's attempting to connect to the Tab and was not successful either.
The only thing that I've performed on the Tab since I've gotten it is "Root".
Do I need to "Unroot" in order to process this firmware update? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S II stuck on boot, possible due to Chainfire 3D. What to do?

Hey guys.
My friend installed the official Jelly Bean update(XWLST) on his Indian Samsung Galaxy S II. He rooted it. He then installed Chainfire 3D, despite my warnings. Now, the phone shows the Galaxy S II logo and a yellow triangle with a ! when the power button is pressed, and then it switches off again. He gave it to me to fix it. I've tried flashing using Odin, no use. He used the Siyah S2 6.0b4.tar file to root it. I tried flashing it using that. Kies does not recognize the device, says it's not compatible with Kies 2.0, I tried factory reset from recovery mode, again, no use. I don't know what else to do. Please help me guys. Thanks in advance,
Androman 117.
Get a stock rom from Samfirmware with Odin, flash it. If it doesn't work, try another one. And another. And another.
That's the only way you're fixing this. NAND could be borked if it won't take a flash.
Also, you're being rather vague; 'I've tried flashing using Odin' - flashed what exactly with Odin ?

Verizon Galaxy S4 Issues. No Boot

I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 that, during an upgrade something went wrong and now will not boot up. It seems that the recovery is gone. It says on the screen:
Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.
I have tried the usual Odin procedures and they fail. And Kies will not connect for some reason.
I am at a loss on this one, I hope that someone out there has encountered the same issue and is willing to help me out.

Tryed rooting my Samsung Galaxy Edge Note SM-N915T but it failed on Odin

Tryed rooting my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Edge Note SM-N915T but it failed on Odin using the CF Auto root, now I'm getting the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue " when ever I turn the phone on. I can get it into download mode. But its not showing up on Kies or Odin now, just keeps trying to connect on kies. I was going to try the firmware upgrade and initialization with kies, but there isn't a S/N on the back under the battery, just the IMEI number, tryed using it but says incorrect S/N. My question is it likely bricked or is there maybe some other things to try just to get it back to stock. I've tryed researching, but haven't found much on this model. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Managed to get it back up and running and rooted.
