Alarm clock sound problem - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Recently my phone stock alarm clock started behaving strangely,
Sometimes the sound does not go off when having the phone on silent or vibrate at night when sleeping.
Quick fix is restarting the phone and then it works for a while and stops working again. Another fix is to switch between silent/vibrate to normal few times to have the sound go off.
Now experienced that several times, afraid that I will miss an important appointment one day or go to work late
Anybody knows this issue?

[Q] Silent Mode?

Does anyone else have this problem?
I have an unlocked GS2, running XWKE7, it was supplied like this.
The problem I have is that it often goes into silent mode when left unattended! Not only is it silent but the vibration is switched off, something that I can't it to do myself! If I lower the volume manually, it gets quieter and then goes to Silent but it still vibrates. The auto switching problem makes the ringer Silent with the Vibrate switched OFF.
I had thought it might be happening due to being in my pocket but yesterday, I kept it out of my pocket all day and it did it whilst left on my desk.
I'm currently also using Launcher Pro but it was doing this before I installed LP.

Silent Mode and Alarm Only Mode

This has been an issue for me for awhile and I thought I would ask if there is any simple solution..
I always have my phone on vibrate..so I am always on silent mode on MIUI ROM..
But when I go to sleep sometimes, I do not want to be disturbed by any calls or txts while keeping the alarm on.
So there's a dilemma, there used to be an Alarm only mode before froyo but since froyo, there isn't an alarm only mode.
Since I am on a silent mode already.. only way to have the phone not vibrate on txts and calls is to switch the settings for silent mode..which I do not want to do every night..
Is there an easy solution for this??
Thanks!!
I used to have an app that did this, shoot. I'm horrible, can't remember the name right now. Have you searched the market already? I'll try to remember.

Sound suddenly goes off!!

Hi to all I tried searching for a similar problem I am experiencing but I couldnt find any..
I am experiencing a total sound cut off on my S3 after disabling an alarm sound or a notification sound whilst it is ringing.
If for example an alarm is ringing, i go into my mobile to disable it, it disables itself and in consequence of this all the sounds are muted, I check the sounds from the settings and I find that they are all muted, and iam unable to slide them up !! No matter what I try! I put it in vibrate mode, silent mode and back to normal ringing mode; however the sound does not come back on and the whole phone is muted!
Has anyone experienced anything similar?
The only way to get it back to normal is to restart the phone.
Iam attaching a screenshot of how the volume is displayed after the sound is cut off completely...
Any help is greatly appreciated..
Any help please this thing is driving me quite nuts.. is it possible nobody encountered this or a similar problem please?

Alarm Issues

Hello, I have LineageOS 15.1 installed and since updating I'm having issues with the alarm app. The alarm goes on at the desired time but there is only vibration, no sound coming off.
From the settings I can choose the alarm tone fine and I hear it properly, but when the alarm time comes it doesn't sound, just vibrate.
Has anybody ever had this problem?
Some time ago in LOS 13ish I had a kind of similar issue. The screen was being kept off while the alarm went on. After updating several times the issue resolved itself, but I'm clueless this time.

Does the notifications have sound?
Heyyo, please check that specific alarm setting. Alarms can have unique volume sounds and such or it could be set to silent in the clock app.
An example of what I mean is attached in the photo.
Hi!, thank you for the information. I tested it yesterday changing the sound tone to default and it worked properly.
Strangely, the alarm sound was set to "22" whatever that means, and when I tested in the menu it sounded good.

Heyyo, ah it could have been from a previous ROM install alarm sound or something. Glad it's fixed now

Alarm clock volune turning down

Hi
I have this problem, where my alarm clock volume turns down to about 25% automatically. This started happening about 3 weeks ago, at first it got suspicious, then I checked alarm volume before I went sleep that it's full, at the morning when I missed my school I checked and sound was to about 25%, keep in mind that this happens literally overnight, so no way for me to accedently press any buttons.
Please help me, missed my school 10 times now
