Alarm Issues - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

Hello, I have LineageOS 15.1 installed and since updating I'm having issues with the alarm app. The alarm goes on at the desired time but there is only vibration, no sound coming off.
From the settings I can choose the alarm tone fine and I hear it properly, but when the alarm time comes it doesn't sound, just vibrate.
Has anybody ever had this problem?
Some time ago in LOS 13ish I had a kind of similar issue. The screen was being kept off while the alarm went on. After updating several times the issue resolved itself, but I'm clueless this time.

Does the notifications have sound?

Heyyo, please check that specific alarm setting. Alarms can have unique volume sounds and such or it could be set to silent in the clock app.
An example of what I mean is attached in the photo.

Hi!, thank you for the information. I tested it yesterday changing the sound tone to default and it worked properly.
Strangely, the alarm sound was set to "22" whatever that means, and when I tested in the menu it sounded good.
Regards,

Alarm problem with DCD 3.0.1 ROM

Hello everyone,
Since I've flashed my new ROM, I can't get the alarm to work. When I set it in "Clock & Alarms", I always get a message telling me "Alarm will not sound util the volume is turned up in the Sounds & Notifications settings". But the sound is already turned on!
Any help?
Thanks
No one had the problem??
I was wandering if it could be a problem with nueAudio but I've removed it and still the same problem. No alarm working.
Any help?
Thanks

alarm tones no longer work!!!

Hello!
My alarm tones have stopped playing when the alarm goes off the phone just vibrates which is quite annoying as it made me late for work today!
has anyone come accross this before and know how to fix it???
cheers!
Iain
That happened to me, i downloaded audiomanager and set the alarm volume to max. Hasn't happened since!
Happened to me, go into alarm sounds (where you pick the sound of your alarm), then adjust volume, only place it appears, took me ages to find it.
...sorry, where's Alarm Sounds? Can't find a volume option
use the volume buttons whilst on alarm sounds

Alarm clock sound problem

Hi,
Recently my phone stock alarm clock started behaving strangely,
Sometimes the sound does not go off when having the phone on silent or vibrate at night when sleeping.
Quick fix is restarting the phone and then it works for a while and stops working again. Another fix is to switch between silent/vibrate to normal few times to have the sound go off.
Now experienced that several times, afraid that I will miss an important appointment one day or go to work late
Anybody knows this issue?

Ringing tones shortcut

In the evening i often use "silence" tone instead of ringing tone which is normally set through the day. I dont like to turn off the phone through the night.
But to set "silence" and back you need to touch screen 5 times: unlock/settings/sound/sound profile/silence
Is there any option to put direct shortcut for Sound profile on my homescreen??? Or is there any other way?
Thanks for helping.

Use the volume buttons when you at the home screen, you can put it to silence, vibrate and the ringing tone (adjusting the volume of the tone)
Thank you for your help. I just didn t think of that!!! It s so simple
While I m here just one more question:
I have a problem of no sound alarm (only visual note) on my Reminder date/time set note.
When I receive sms or email the choosen sound alarm normally appears.
I tried everything, I have set sound alarm also for Reminder but still no sound when set reminder appears.
Do you have any solution for that?

Look in sound settings if your alarm sound is on
Yes, all the sounds are on.
I m thinking a bit there s maybe not an option of having sound alarm for Reminder (only visual reminder)!?
Strange, but I just can t find answer to that anywhere.

Low volume for alarms/ringtone

Hi all,
Bit of a question here.
I've just upgraded from a Galaxy S3 to the Xperia Z2 and overall I'm loving it so far. It's just such a huge difference. Only thing I'm missing is a screen protector (As soon as I removed the peel from the one included in the box it just seemed to suck dust from the air and became impossible to put on without dust and bubbles being under it ) but overall it's a great experience.
The only issue I have is that, compared to my S3, and compared to the volume that games/videos can reach, my ringtone and alarms seem to be very low volume, even when the volume is turned up to maximum.
Is this something others have noticed?
I've tried several alarm apps, the stock one, Alarm Clock Plus and Alarm Clock Xtreme Free but all of them put the alarm at the same level which just isn't as high as I could get from the S3.
Does anyone know of a way to boost this? The alarm in particular is what concerns me the most, since I use my phone as an alarm clock to get up in the mornings for work. At the moment I'm a tad paranoid so keeping my sim-less S3 as a backup alarm to go off 5 minutes later

Not possible unless Sony updates their firmware.
Needs root to change the gain levels.
me to I've just upgraded from a LG G2 to Z2 and i have same issue the notification/ringtone very low
Hm. Well, for me, my alarm wakes me up just fine. I'm not exactly a light-sleeper, but definitely not a heavy one either.
As for text messages... I do occasionally not hear it.
Darn. Hopefully it's something Sony address in future updates.
I'm looking to avoid rooting at the moment given that I bought the phone Sim-free so am rather paranoid about bricking it.
Same thing for me.. Tried to play some music first then turn on the alarm and it's such a difference! I too use my phone as an alarm and I really can't be late for work anymore Tried several alarm apps as well but no luck.. Hope they fix it soon
i got sulotion for notification sound

Will check this option and share my experience
Thanks anyhow
Any confirmation?
I thought it was the volume security policy used by Sony like on their MP3 Walkman.
Anyone tried with Viper4android?

Thanks, tried it and its noticeably louder when receiving a sms
I haven't tried it yet, but this thread mentions another setting that might boost the volume of the internal speaker.
Will be testing it later today when I get home from work. Don't want to be testing my alarm in the middle of the office XD

Enable xloud as well
low ringtone for alarm
Hi,
In the sound selection menu for the alarm I have the possibility to replay a new possible tone. This is much louder than the alarm and it is much louder when the tone that is emitted when I pull the volume slider for the alarm to the right and keep pressed, which is too quiet for me. Currently, I find no way to set a reasonable volume. Currently, the vibrator is almost louder.
What have I done so far? I tried diffent sounds and mp3s. I have turned off all sound effects. No increase the ringer volume, no EQ, no Sourroundsound, no Clearaudio +, no normalization. The adjustable volume, is whe I use the side-mounted switches -> to maximum. Also the menu Sound settings volume - every sound slider is at max. However, the max volume is also different than the volume that is output when I replay this file in the menu where I can choose the alarm tone. The replayed sound is much louder and enough for me.
Please not a new ROM, I do not want to tinker.
Thanks for your help
Greetings
P.
This sound issue is already fixed on the new FW (.314).

No, the newest software .314 doesn't fix the problem. Without xloud and normalization(this helps the most I think) turned on I could barely hear notifications. Now they are the same level as when I play them from notification picker. Which all is kind of weird to be honest. Ringtone is normal when somebody rings me. But level of notifications when SMS comes or whatever is 2 times quieter than when playing sound from notification picker in settings menu.

There's a mod in Themes and app section where you can get both speakers working for notification as stock Sony ROM only use bottom speaker for notifications. This might help a bit
One thing I've noticed with xLoud is that if I put the phone into vibrate/silent mode, then the xLoud setting no longer takes effect when I put the volume back up again. Even if I disable and re-enable the xLoud checkbox, I'm back to the volume I got without xLoud. The only way to get it working is to power off the phone and then power it back on again.

Yea I used the mod before but that doesn't change anything :/ Sony messed up firmware.
xperia Z3
I solved the problem. I downloaded the app Ringtone Maker, opened it in the desired mp3. Click on the Fade and volume and set to 4-5. Save as like new notification and add to the desired application. Done.
