I'm S-off, running Viper ROM on DSB's Cubed 3.1.3 kernel, Eng hboot, and the new radios.
At random times, my SIM card just dismounts. It gives me no reason, warning, nothing. Everything else seems to work fine, but obviously I can't make any calls or do anything data-related.
A quick cycle of Airplane mode usually clears it up for a bit, but I just never know when it's gonna happen.
Does this happen to anyone else? And did you fix it?
Thanks in advance!

It's a known hardware issue on the DNA. Try removing SIM card, inspect it for scratches or other damage, and then reseating it fully in the phone. This seems to work for most people.
Thanks for the reply. I guess my question is why?
And if others have fixed the issue, long term, then what did they do and how did they do it?
Used to happen to me all the time. Kinda slowed down a bit, welcome to the club.

So far from what Ive seen its a software issue that HTC "fixed" in the 2.04.605.2 update... and because ViperDNA is not on 2.04.605.2 yet that might be why...
I sure hope the new base fixes it.

It's hardware and how the card interfaces. Take your card out and look at the gold connector. If there are 3 large scratches and they are deep. Get a new one. If they are not, take a pencil and lighly erase the gold to clean it. Place it very carefully in the slot making sure it does not shif and re-insert the card holder. The pins that touch the card are a lil tricky and if the card is not in there just right, they touch in the wrong place. I had this happen to me once, did what i just told you after calling htc (verizon techs have no idea what they are talking about) and i haven't had the problem since. And im still on Viper 1.1.3.

"Hardware Problem" as in a design problem with the phone itself. There is no permenent "fix" except getting a different phone other than DroidDNA. Some people have this problem regularly, others rarely if ever.
"edit" guess it might be a software issue. Smarter people than me are answering your question.
I used to have the problem a bunch on the 1.15 base since Ive been on 2.04 I haven't gotten it once...
I also used to have this problem. I took the update the day it released and have not had a problem since. *knock on wood*

SIM problem appears to be solved.
While I had fewer incidences on Viper's new base, it was still happening periodically.
When I went to Newt's Sense 5 NOS M7 ROM, it started happening every few hours!
On Tuesday I went to VZW and got a new SIM card. I haven't had a problem since then.
Maybe there was just a bad batch of SIMs in circulation at the time.

i had a similar issue where i would randomly lose signal. i'd go to sleep, wake up to a "no sim card" message. this only happened with the new radio. i went back to old radio and it was fine. i re-flashed the new radio and its been fine since

My problem is similar to those described before. I hadn't the no sim message but I got sudden signal drops and it recovers itself after 20s with any intervention it just shows preparing SIM message. I have tried different roms, kernels and radios including those roms with latest update. I'm a GSM user so I ordered a new SIM Card because mine has three very deep scratches, I've used liquid contact cleaner but no luck.
The issue is not the signal loss itself because it recovers quickly, point is it's draining battery very fast because of signal loss and sometimes people tells me they're calling me but my phone was off.
So far, I've had 0 issues with three different SIMs. I've got the 1.15 fw and both stock, and now with the NOS M7 ROM, still no problems. And these three SIMs were all cut down from full-sized SIMs, freehand using a pair of scissors. At least in my case, a high level of precision doesn't seem to be necessary. I'm just adding this info in case it helps with diagnosis/elimination...

Hey,
I've been experiencing data connection loss on CM7-14/29, latest VGB, and PP (all MTD/AOSP GB ROMs).
Issue: Randomly, during the day, my internet dies, SMS/Voice appears unaffected.
This results in no connectivity on any apps, the 3G symbol is still there, but is white.
Turning it into airplane mode for 15s or so and then turning it back seems to fix the problem.
Attempted resolutions:
- Wifi sleep policy set to "never"
- Wifi sleep policy in spare parts set to "never"
- ESN swapped twice.
Anybody have any idea on what the hell I can do? BTW: My wifi is almost never on, so I don't think it's related to the WIFI handing off to 3G issue, because I RARELY use WIFI, and this happens (just happened again like 10 minutes ago), and there's no networks here it can even connect to, AND it's disabled.
I'm completely getting killed by this connection issue, b/c it stops randomly, then I don't get e-mail until I take notice that I'm not getting e-mail .
Pretty sure I'd take the SD card corruption issue AND the voice issue over this problem... :'(.
Problem resembles the invalild key issue that happens when switching ROMs, but the ESN swap twice (after two different ROMs were installed) seems to have ruled that out...or maybe I'm not doing something right about the ESN swap? Does the OTHER phone have to be activated during its time?
Anybody have any other fixes I can try?
EDIT:
Problem persists on all MTD AOSP GB ROMs, but right now I'm on CM7-29 with the EC09 modem, ESN swapped after modem flash.

I had the same problem try flashing back to a VZW rom (dl09,eb01, or ed05) and run it for a day and see if you have the same problem...I did and brought it into Verizon none the less with eb01...(not an official Verizon release) and they confirmed my modem was hosed...they over night'd me a new one and I sent the old one back with eb01 on it and they never gave me a problem!

I ran UKB 2.1 for like a week, last week. Not a hiccup. I don't think this is a HW issue, had no problems on UKB, nor OEM Froyo, nor OEM Eclair.
This is the second one (first one's camera HW was dead after like 2 weeks of use, verified by VZW), I really think the modem HW is fine, that's an issue with my setup or my process of flashing or something along those lines, still possibly key related for the authentication keys with Verizon if I'm not doing something right in the ESN swap process.
Maybe I'll try pushing a non-EC09 modem tonight (like ED05) and see if that fixes the issue, any other modems I should try? This problem sucks, just went to lunch, came back, no data *sigh*. Posted this right before I left for lunch (about 1.5 hours ago), right after it happened earlier...

idk man doesn't sound good. I am getting a replacement for mine (i somehow fried my modem/data or something?), but I just may never flash a rom again because ever since I started flashing my modem has become worse and worse... and now it is completely fried.
I have tried flashing a million modems before without a change, so I doubt that will help you. I would just recommend going BACK to what worked, and sticking with it, or you could fry your **** like I did.
i'm on miui 8.19 and every once in awhile i get a force close for android.phone and my 3g disappears too
I always had very weird data problems on 2.3 MIUI/CM7. The market would hang constantly or the browser would. I'd have to turn on airplane mode etc to get it back to normal.

Umm...ok.
Not trying to be a **** here but flashing the modem software has no impact on the modem hardware itself. Now, it is possible for modem firmware with an issue to cause damage, however, this is unlikely. The modem images are proprietary blobs swiped from OEMs, they're not tweaked by hackers in the Android community. I'm sure some OEM could figure out how to cause damage with one, but realistically they should be fine, even if the OEM was trying to kill it.
If your modem is getting worse and worse, regardless of what you did, it sounds like you had a hardware issue from the start. If that's the case, I'd suggest getting your phone replaced by VZW.
I would be extremely surprised if our problems are related. I'll keep it in mind, though.

Force close on what?
I don't get any force close, 3G just silently fades (not completely, goes from green to white). It still shows 1x or 3G accordingly, though. It's just white, hence, useless. Airplane mode for 10s fixes it.
Does this only happen on MIUI? Mine is pretty bad, happens like once an hour.

Yeah, I expect either of them to glitch or hang if there's no network connection present, I have no issues with that. I have an issue with the fact that there is no network connection present .
Hey guys, Colby here, with a fix for the random reboots. If you are like me, this issue has been plaguing you for 3 weeks, and has almost caused me to chuck my phone off of a bridge and into the Columbia River. I was searching around the forums, and even posted a thread on it, to no avail. Then it hit me. These issues have something to do with data/cell phone connectivity, and even after switching radio's, wiping allll the caches, and having it still reboot, there could only be 1 other outlier that could affect our service.
OUR SIM CARDS.
So I drove down to my ATT store, had them switch out the SIM (it took 2 minutes, they didn't ask any questions, guy thought it was a kernel issue since I'd overclocked to 1.3ghz. Sometime's it's nice meeting a sales rep that knows how to root phones, isn't it?) and for the past 24 hours, my phone has not rebooted ONCE.
I need more people to try this so that I'm not some statistical anomaly, but this worked for me and I have a gut feeling that it will work for you too!
did your wifi work?
mine seems to reboot randomly only when i try to turn wifi on. bluetooth also broken
I've random reboots, and so on, when my atrix will come back from warranty, and i'll still have random reboots, i'll try it! (my sim card is 6 years old)
Didn't matter what I did, it always rebooted every 5-10 minutes.

Good job Motorola!
I have no Randoom Reboot from very long time with Stock Rom 2.3.4.
But this a problem of Tegra 2(Nvidia kernel also).
LG2x,Atrix and Galaxy R have random reboots.
Is this a coincidence?
hmm it's no good.. maybe some reason from motorola support?
I found the device begins to restart when I try to wi-fi enabled

It's most likely a kernel issue then. Try flashing Jokersax's kernel, it is the most stable one out there for our devices
New sim card fixed it for me too.

Whatever is the newest one, depends on weather you are running CM7 or CM9
I tried jokersax's kernel but bt & wifi haven't still MAC
I did these steps:
1.
Code:
moto-fastboot flash:raw boot kernel ramdisk.img
(for joker-cm9-v3 1.0 kernel image)
2. In CWM I install beta 0.6.0 rom and jokersax gapps v12
3. Install RootExplorer and modules put to system
4. Restart device
All without SIM card
If I try turn on wifi or bt only show ask "Turn on ***?" but not restart device now.

I've been having random reboot issues for a while, sometimes it only reboots once every few days, other times it seems to happen every few hours. Played with a variety of radios and ROMs, have been using mainly 37P and CM7-RC1 lately.
I stopped down at an AT&T store and had them replace my SIM card. I'm sorry to report, it hasn't made a difference for me. Still rebooting in the same way as before, /data/panicreports logs showing a Modem IPC reset.
Unfortunately, I'm experiencing random reboots without a SIM. Happens with or without WiFi turned on. Also about to chuck this thing into the Columbia river. Any river, really...
The phone has come back from warranty. They replaced the electronical Board (i think MoBo..) and till now , 2 days without a single reboot. is so nice .
Random Reboots on my phone started when everything was stock. At this time I am running on CM9(Gook job Jokersax). Latest Kernel from Jokersax site (faux 1.45 2012-May-30, my phone is overclock to 1.45ghz). I have a new baseband as well, N_01.100.00R. And taking your advice I have drove down AT&T store and swapped out the SIM Card as well. However, My phone is still possessed by the evil of Random Reboots. It is a little better as it is not as often but equally annoying. Next I will try flashing a few different radios and update if that helps. Though, I am pretty sure it is an hardware issue. Perhaps time for a new phone.
Hmph.
Weird, I'll give it a whirl and see, have you had any further issues after some time had passed with a new SIM?
Hi to all Atrix users. I had too the problem with random reboot of the phone after unlocking bootloader, and i solve this problem easy with flashing oringinal sbf of my Atrix wid RSD Lite (i flashed O2 German 2.3.4 sbf, because my Atrix was bought in Germany), other method with changing radio, use additional programs not work for me. I hope this post will be helpful for you.
P.S. Be very-very carefully with RSDLite, it can brick your device if you use wrong SBF, or do something wrong. And sorry 4 my english, good luck :victory:

I know this thread is old. But I'm trying it. Because seriously, I just spent $120 on this phone, I have tried everything I can think of to fix this problem, and I am SERIOUSLY ready to trash this phone. first i wanna thank you guys for this awesome forum
i have an AT&T aria phone that randomly reboots
LIBERTY PVT SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-1.02.0000
MICROP-831b
TOUCH panel-stn21_03
radio-7.16.35.11
Nov 4 2010
the phone is rooted with CWM v2.5.0.1 istalled.
i flashed the original ATT rom 2.2 from HTC website and it didnt fix it
i flashed shipped att rom and it didnt fix.. also flashed rooted rom yet no luck
1-i tried to unlock the bootloader with HTCDEV.COM but it gives me error message
fastboot oem get_identifier_token
...INFO[err] command error
2-i tried to use the revolutianary website and no luck either
3-i tried to put the original img on the sd card LIBEIMG.zip and booted into bootloader but the phone didnt recognize the file at all.
i am a newbie in the android word but i can swear i did every thing by the book in these last 3 steps** at least as i could understand**
p.s: i dont know wut or who did this to this phone
This is sort of a long shot, but did you happen to install a 32GB SD card around the time the problem started happening?
If not, did you change ANYTHING else? new SIM card? new charger? etc.
nope i did not install 32 GB card..
i dont know exactly what happened to this phone.. i took it AS IS..
when i first got the phone it had the original at&t 2.2 stock S-off ... i was lucky to flash CWM using fastboot..
i think if i can install HBOOT again and turn S on this might solve the problem... or may be i need to do something to the partitions but as i told u im a newbie in here
i am sure it is a software problem due to the error message i get when i try to unlock the bootloader...
I tried everything: stock AT&T Froyo rom, returned to S-on, new sd card, new sim card. Also returned to HTC for "repair," but it still rebooted so I returned to HTC for another try.
BTW, I used the Unrevoked method to root/S-off the phone, and the S-on method listed in the development forum to take the phone back to stock. Both with no problem (several times). The S-on was a little trickie, had to load stock AT&T rom, then follow the S-on instructions, which includes loading the stock AT&T Froyo rom again.
I'll report the results of my 2nd HTC repair on the 2 Arias reboot problem thread.

Don't try to do that. HBOOT 1.03 will not fix your problem, it'll only make it worse (not being able to easily S-OFF). You should avoid HTC's official bootloader unlocking method -- it's worse than Revolutionary.
thank u drumist...
i tried already but no luck.. it says device ID error..
i am so desperate in here.. is there anyway i can fix this aria??
To my surprise I had called HTC and found out that my phone was still under warranty. As I said above, the phone is now back at HTC for a 2nd try. I will let you know what they found as soon as I get the phone back -- it took about a week last time.
Drumist was very supportive in my effort to find the problem, and against his advice and out of desperation, I did restore the HBOOT, and, as he said above, it did not solve the problem. The phone was back to being completely stock -- ATT Froyo 2.2 and S-ON -- and it sill had random reboots --taking anywhere from 1 minute to almost an hour before rebooting. Which is really annoying when trying to troubleshoot. I even re-rooted and S-Off'd the phone using Revolutionary, and still had the problem. I then returned the phone to stock again prior to sending it to HTC for repair. Checked one more time... still random rebooting. As I am now using another phone -- Atrix 4G -- solving this has become more of a challenge.
The other thing that's amazing is that I have 2 ATT Arias with exactly the same problem!
I wonder if it is a location thing. You don't happen to reside in SE Pennsylvania do you?
the same thing has been happening to me. it just started happening recently.
about 10-20 times a day the phone just buzzes and goes straight to the white HTC turning on background.
it's very annoying.

I have to agree with you, it is really annoying. Luckily I dont use my phone very often. I dont think it is location based, as I'm in eastern Iowa.
Ok. Just got my Aria back from HTC after their 2nd attempt at at fixing the random reboot problem. It rebooted within 5 minutes of turning it on! And twice after that.
The only thing I did was put in the battery. No SD or SIM card, and I did not plug in a battery charger. I didn't even have a chance to connect to my wifi.
I will call HTC tomorrow and anticipate sending it back to HTC for a 3rd try.
I really thought they would send me a new phone after the 2nd attempt at fixing it. Although now I'm really curious about what could be causing this.
It's interesting that that there are more reports about this problem. I had rooted and installed multiple roms before restoring it to stock AT&T Froyo prior to returning it to HTC for repair. Has anyone had this random reboot problem on a phone that was never rooted?
Oh well. I will probably be sending it back to HTC tomorrow, and will keep you posted about the results.

I am having the same issues...luckily I now have the HTC One X, however I do still use the Aria as a dedicated GPS, which is frustrating having CONSTANT reboots.
This also only happened recently...I wonder what the issue could be...
Reboot saga
Just spoke to HTC about their failed 2nd attempt to repair my phone. They told me the repair records state that they replaced the "main board," which I assume is like the mother board.
If that is true, I would assume that would be like getting a new phone. If that doesn't fix it, I am truly baffled. The ONLY thing I did was put the old fully charged battery in the phone to test it -- without a SIM or SD card . Could the problem be related to the battery? Since I have another Aria (with its own battery) with the same problem, I doubt it.
Regardless, HTC is having me send it back for a 3rd try to fix it, and they sent me a prepaid shipping label this time.
They said if the 3rd repair attempt doesn't fix it, they would send it to a higher level repair facility for a 4th try! I can't complain about HTC's commitment to trying to repair my phone.
From the responses on this thread, this has become a recent problem. Mine started about a month ago. Any theories out there?
Thanks for sharing your experiences yar, however I'll be dealing with the reboots cause I cant go that long without my phone.
Another thought I had while driving yesterday, Do your guy's that reboots, happen usually after you press the lock button? I've noticed after I send a text message and I hit the lock button is mostly when it will restart. Anyone think it would be that button causing the problem or maybe the HTC Sense Lockscreen?
While I'm waiting for HTC to return my phone after their 3rd attempt to fix this problem I have been experimenting with my other Aria.
I booted into CWM and left it there for over an hour and the phone did not reboot. Does this helps isolate the problem?
Also, has anyone managed to stop a random reboot problem?

Just got my Aria back from HTC after their 3rd attempt, and it rebooted within 10 minutes. I even used a new battery, thinking that somehow that was causing the problem. No sim or sd card, and I did not even log onto wifi. They claim they replaced the "main board." Its hard to believe they actually tested it.
Probably beating a dead horse, but I will take HTC up on their offer to send it to the next level of service for a 4th try at fixing the problem. Can't believe it wouldn't be more cost effective to just send me a new phone at this point... but then there might not be any new Arias available.

try setting the Aria data comm to Edge only
I've been following this thread with interest since I have an Aria with AT&T "service" and have been experiencing the random reset problems described here. I have not rooted the phone and have the stock 2.2.2 release side loaded through HTC Sync. After several attempts to isolate the problem, I think I may have stumbled across something that works (so far, no reboots in the last 11 hours, but, that is not conclusive evidence yet). Try using the "hidden test feature" by entering *#*#4636#*#* on the dialer keypad. Then under the "Phone information" section select "GSM only". I understand that this forces the phone to use only the Edge data format.
I think there may be a problem with the Aria's firmware that communicates with the 3G network. I was able to use 3G successfully in the past year, but, something must have changed recently in the way AT&T configured this network or at least I suspect that a recent network change has caused these problems with our phones. You would think that AT&T and HTC would be aware of such a problem by now since I imagine many of us are affected. I'm leaving my phone on Edge until I see evidence that the problem has been resolved.

I will have to give this a try, as for HTC and ATT knowing, they probably don't care and I dont really blame them this is a 2 year old phone.
I've had this phone for about 10 days. On Wednesday morning I awoke to the phone displaying a no SIM message at the top of the screen. I found this thread in the One X forum:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1581349
I'm guessing that since these phones are so similar construction wise the issue I'm having is probably the same. Here's what I know so far. The first instance happened after some heavy gaming. To remedy it I restarted the phone. The second instance randomly occured while the phone layed on its back. Once again I remedied it by restarting the phone. Third instance happened sometime overnight. This time the remedy was switching on/off airplane mode.
I'm rooted with bl unlocked running insertcoin 1.1.3. Anyone else having no SIM issues? If so do you feel it is software or hardware related?

it's simcard related, just pop it out and back in, also search the forum this has been brought up already

Umm I did search... Hence the link posted up above. Perhaps "one x+ no SIM" is not adequate. What are you searching on where you find the discussion that was brought up before?

As suggested in other threads, I cut out a piece of a post-it note, stuck it on the back of the sim and I haven't had the issue since.
I decided to call HTC. They are mailing a new SIM tray to try. They advised if it does not remedy the issues to contact att and have the phone replaced as it sounds like the SIM card reader itself is defective. As suggested by the rep the phone is designed to work without postit notes and something is defective which is causing the problem.

As Lloir Said this has been answered several times, including by myself. The problem is hardware related. The sim card sits in the tray loose and every so often manages to wiggle its way out. DO NOT try and fix this by restarting the phone. I am sure it will not break anything but this is not a fix in the least bit. Pop the card out re seat it and place it back in. I have not had an issue in weeks since doing this. Other recomend a postit or tape, do so at your own risk. You would feel pretty stupid if something got stuck in there.
I used a piece of a sticker and stuck the sim to the tray after getting the error for a week. This was about a month ago and I haven't received the error since.
People say to use a piece of paper or something of that nature, but I would feel pretty sketchy about removing the sim one day and the paper not coming out with it.
I was actually able to shake my phone lightly and hear the sim card rattle around. Even placing my phone flat on its back and playing music or sounds from the speaker would be enough to rattle the sim around. Definitely Hardware issue.

I've had this happen two times to me and just restarted the phone, both times happened with a couple days of each other but this was at least 2 weeks ago. Why do you not recommend restarting the phone? Is it just because its not a real fix or could it do some sort of damage to the phone?

I said right in the post it will not break it. restarting the phone does not fix the fact the card is loose hence why it happens more frequently when restarting versus popping the card out and re-seating it.
As the title suggests, suddenly I started getting force closes with com.android.phone when I'd receive a call. I immediately tried to call out, same story. I've been troubleshooting for the past few hours, and had no luck finding anything relevant on XDA or any other site.
Firstly I switched kernels, since I'd updated to DSB's latest, though I'd had no issues with it until then. That failed, so I reverted to Viper's stock build.prop, undoing some changed I'd been running for a while (and hadn't modified at all today).
With no luck there, I backed up my sdcard and did a full factory reset and formatted the sdcard in twrp and then in cwm, followed by a reinstall of the latest Viper ROM. Even that didn't work, so I relocked and RUU'd back. Twice. Same exact issue. I can text anyone just fine, data over LTE goes on as normal, but anytime I try to make a call, be it with the stock dialer or through a diff one from the play store (for kicks, last resort). I reseated the SIM card a multitude of times, to no avail. I get full functionality with my SIM in my other phone, so I'm sure it must be the hardware itself on the phone. Every time com.android.phone stops, the SIM initialization happens like when you physically re-seat the SIM.
The troubling thing is that I haven't done anything, save for a simple kernel and recovery update, which would've been negated by two RUU runs to stock. I haven't touched the SIM card or anything, at least until that started happening. Furthermore confusing is how all other functionality can remain except for actually making phone calls.
Removing the SIM entirely and dialing a number does the exact same thing, just as an FYI.
Has anyone seen this? Any ideas?
As I've unlocked my phone, my last resort is to go into a VZW store and act like an idiot so they don't check to see if i unlocked it. Further complicating that is the fact that the DNA was actually purchased on my own account, which I closed, and brought to an unlimited data line that was preexisting. I'm half tempted to wait for the official OTA and see if that will remedy the issue, but my fear is this may be a physical issue beyond the remedy of a firmware update.

Check this thread, me and another member faced the same problem. I can get 3g/2g data, sms and all other functions just right. Just no phonecalls, every time i make a call i get a crash of the app.
So, i am pretty sure this is a software bug. For god's sake, what a strange problem!Did your phone used to work right?
I bought my phone from ebay, did not check if phonecalls are working(i couldn't imagine such a bug) and went straight away to rooting/other kernels/roms etc. But can't find a solution too, tried everything as you, and the worst, i am overseas!!!
Is the update coming soon?
edit1: i have seen lots of threads about sim errors,a very common issue of DNA, i am believing that these two bugs have something in common. No hardware defect, just software bugs.

thanks for the thread, for the life of me i couldn't find anything exactly relating to what i described. that is spot on though, and def makes me feel a bit more at ease that maybe it can be resolved with an update to the firmware that's due soon.
yea, the funny thing is that it worked flawlessly, i never even got the SIM error message, i'd been texting my gf, a few friends, and my parents and then my pops called in the evening and it immediately closed out the call before it really even rang. i called him right back and that's when the force closes started happening, calls never working agian thereafter. however, i was able to still text everyone i was before and data was working flawlessly as always, just no calls, not even after all the crap i did to troubleshoot.
the update is hopefully going to be out soon. the support documents came out a few days ago. i def can't survive on this galaxy nexus after having used my DNA since launch!
I will wait for the update too, hopefully it will be uploaded today or tomorrow i think. But just because i can't get on the air update, i need to download from a server the update and install it on my own.
If anyone finds a solution or have an idea of what to look/do, please post here. I am pretty sure it is a software bug, something is stucking the application from working properly. The other solution is RMA, but it is a very difficult to send it back and get it back again.

The update is out now, can someone send it to me too? I am overseas, trying to find a way to download it.
OP, can you test this one to see if you get a fix? Thanks!!!
Ok, I had the same exact issue. I was stock then went to viper Dna then tried going to hatka and soft bricked my phone. I went back to stock using the RUU. That's when I got the com. Android. Phone crash message. So I had to re unlock reboot and then flash viper Dna again. Everything works as it should now.
After saying all that I just got the new update from Verizon. I assume I shouldn't flash this since I'm on a custom rom.

Thanks for the input, really interesting! Will try it right away! Hope you won't have any problems with the update now!

Hi guys i got a similar problem. My DNA was perfect since yesterday but now i can use data connection for internet. All the other stuff is working fine....SMS,call, wifi, the only thing that is not working is the 3g data. All of this problem came when i flashed the viper DNA, so i flashed the supercharged hoping it was an issue of the rom. Olso with the supercharged the problem was always here.... So i decide to came back to stock and i re-lock my bootloader and flasched stock RUU. But data connection is still not working :crying:
can anyone please tell me what can i do?
Did you install patches 1.1.1& 1.1.2 from viper? They fix some gsm problems.

Which version of viper worked for you?
hard problem
Has any one figured out this problem? I have not been able to received any phone calls since I did s-off. I have tried everything that has been wrote so with no luck. I have relocked my phone and flashed stock RUU no change. Unlocked and tried several roms still no calls. formatted everything under CWM not change. Fixed permissions. Went back and re-locked and reflashed stock RUU. I know that some of the things above have fixed others phones and some still have problems. I also found a script someone wrote lock my phone which now it says locked and flashed stock rom after that still have problem. Does anyone here here a idea that I have not already mentione above? I like my droid dna but if I can't get it to make and take calls it is a paperweight.:crying:
