If you are on att they have it locked down. You will need root, some type of gsmpatch, a working toggle and kernel source. If not on att, it is easier.

Please help guys, I cannot find a decent WiFi tether app out there to install with my HTC one x plus using the insertcoin ROM without a custom kernal. What do do you recommend? Running on AT&T

Have you tried the buit in Wifi tethering? Settings -> More (between HTC Media Link HD and Personaliza) -> Mobile network sharing -> Portable Wi-FI hotspot.
Yes indeed I have, I have to contact customer service it says which means it's not unlocked

There is probably some code specific to the AT&T ROM that is doing this. It might be possible to patch the AT&T ROM with some code from the international version...
I would but idk what I'd be doing lol. I guess I'll have to wait until someone releases a ROM for it

I'm on insert coin and WiFi hotspot works perfectly. Yes there is a setting for att and it is cooked inside the Rom. Go to mobile settings and select att pta, reboot and try again.

Does anyone know if there is an AT&T modem flashable zip for the N4 converted LGOG? I'm using .33 modem now, but I'd like to have the AT&T modem for better LTE speeds.
Also, is there development out there for an AT&T modem with working GPS? I don't mind having .33 and AT&T modems both on my SD card and flash whichever one I need based on GPS/LTE, but it would be nice to have only the AT&T modem so I don't have to switch back and forth.
Check you're pm

This is interesting - I'm running the .33 modem and find that me GPS works the best with this modem and with LTE I've hit download speeds of 53MB.
I'd be interested to have the AT&T modem as well just to see if there is performance difference between the two - could I get it as well?

hmmm...man, you may just want to start from scratch and download the ROM of your choice and wipe/format /system and all the usual stuff.
THat would be the first place I would start with an issue like this.
Just noticed with the ATT modem I can choose the network mode (gsm, etc) but the other ones don't give the option and also when searching for network ATT modem shows two possible ATT connections, others show one.

I dont notice it in my area, this phone has better service than any other i have used on VZW, you want want to update your radio and see if that helps. You could also go into Settings/More Settings/Mobile Networks/Preferred Networks and change it to CDMA/LTE/EVDO instead of Global mode.

I would like to know the difference between my phone and a DNA. The model number is 6435lra and the build is 2.03.557 release keys. I've asked this repeatedly on different forums, but none reply.

Same here. I tried to find your model with a quick Google search, and nothing came up. It could be fairly similar, or different enough where our unlock and s-off methods would brick your device. ROMs may have the same outcome.

When I first got this device, I read a forum on Android central that pushed me towards using the butterfly version of twrp. It didn't work so I tried the dna file and it worked perfectly. I know the 2 phones share some of the same numbers, like the hoot and a couple more. Also I seen on a cyanogenmod 10.2 screen shot, that it uses the same kernel numbers 3.4.10 I think.

Got cm10.2 installed!! Everything is working. I really like it so far. I thought I was stuck in a bootloop for a minute. Everything loaded fine after initial boot. I brushed through the screens and checked the software version and went back home. From there I selected reboot and it got hung up on like the second HTC screen. I waited like five minutes and nothing happened. So I held the power button down and the home screen popped up. Maybe I just didn't wait long enough. Everything I use frequently is working fine.

the htc 6435lra is the model number for the htc deluxe
The HTC deluxe is an exact clone of the DNA with the exception that its not made for Verizon(it says HTC above the screen not Verizon) it also has been "repackaged" for use the with the local cellular service provider Cellcom of Wisconsin(now I know where you live )
It basically has different drivers(maybe hardware, probably not) than the DNA and should be treated as a GSM DNA
(No CDMA builds)

They must be part the LTE Rural America (LRA) agreement as well. The local/small carriers put up Verizon LTE sites and they get some roaming benefits. That's why the spec number was 6435lra instead of 6435lvw.
Cool, I didn't really know what LRA was, I assumed the r and a were for regional appalachian. I'm pretty sure the phone is cdma because I don't have any of the GSM modes selected in settings.
