Dear All,
After that my Atrix drop on the floor of my car, the GPS is not more working...
I have figure out that the antenna wire is now unsoldered from the battery cover. I have tried to solder again but is still not working.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
i don't think antenna is soldered to battery cover.
maybe the back cover of the phone.
try some apps from the market (GPStoolbox)

I was wondering if any of you guys knew where in the UK I could get hold of the rubber plug thing that covers the external GPS aerial socket which my wife managed to both rip out and lose .
Heres hoping....
Hello all.
While I was taking my HD2 apart to replace a cracked screen (glass digitizer) I accidentally broke the connector off one of the wires. The wire is black and a few inches long with a silver and round press on connector on each end. It attaches to the board that houses the vibrator motor and runs down the right side of the phone (if you were looking at it face down and partially disassembled).
Unfortunately, I lost the metal piece that broke off the wire (the thing is tiny!), so I can't just solder it back on. Any idea on where I can buy a replacement? I've spent about 6 hours today on ebay and google to no avail. Searching for "HD2 black wire" and anything similar is hardly efficient, but that's all I know about it.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
Good question, I think I damaged the cable to the volume buttons so it would be cool if someone has an adress where we can get spare parts except LCD and Digitizer..
this guy on ebay seems to be selling an HD2 in parts. you might find what you need here:

Thanks, I sent that guy a message and hopefully it'll work out.
Anyone else have a source?
connector of my hd2 is also broken HTC says that the mainboard must be change and I have to pay € 230 because that is my responsibility
I think you have damaged your coaxial cable connector for wifi and bluetooth. Google will help you perhaps.
I believe that my wifi/bluetooth cable is broken, as I have no wifi or bluetooth signal since dropping my phone as reported in a previous post of mine. Can anybody advise me on the difficulty of undertaking this repair myself, does it involve complete disassembly of phone, any soldering etc. If this is the case I don't feel confident enough to do this so does anybody know of someone who does this sort of repair, I have found the cable on e bay for £7 and it looks like it has push on connectors ?
if the connectors on the boards are not broken then all you need is the coaxial cable with connectors on the two end. you need not disassemble the whole set, just open the back cover, connect one end of the cable to mother board and other end to the rigid flex board and that's it.
WiFi and Bluetooth not working

Do you think that this is my problem as since I dropped my HD2 I have no wifi (unless sat ontop of router) or bluetooth or fm radio, is it easy to get to the coax cable by removing back cover, whereabouts is it ?

Fixed it, opened up phone and spotted that at one end of the black wire the connector was not pushed onto the motherboard securely, I pushed it home and hey presto, wifi and Bluetooth now working, phew, Thanks for your help !

I opened my tablet to try and fix the signal strength on my wifi and gps. everything was going great until my screen turned a little and bam... the ribbon cable came out of the connector. When I went to pry the lock up it broke(very cheap connector). I tried to insert the ribbon back in but I noticed when some of the black plasctic that broke away there were wires that seemed to run through it. Anyway long story short. Can I remove the connector and wire the ribbon to the board? Is there anyway to fix it other than ordering a new pcb board? Any ideas would be appreciated. It is working now but there are spots on the screen that do not accept input or touch. I have used electrical tape to tape it in place for now. Thanks inn advance!
Sorry bro I think your s.o.l. those ribbon s are not really repairable and the main display one j think has 24 connectors or so. Soldering those is next to impossible. Same with the touch panel ones.

hi, i had an xt910 with bad mobo that didnt charge.
i swapped it with some usa variant either xt908 or xt912 not sure yet, as i can flash both roms on it.
anyway, everything works fine except gps is not getting a fix.
i read this phone has a wifi/gps combo chip, so the chip is fine as the wifi works.
i tried all the software solutions and different roms, this is not the issue i think.
what i do think happened is during the replacement of the motherboard i damaged the gps antenna connectors.
i noticed there are many small copper pins around the frame, and where i think the antenna is, the copper was dent, i tried to restore it, but i broke a piece of the pin.
and even after i "restored" to what seem a good position for the pin, i couldn't get a fix.
i looked at all the teardowns and there is no mention of gps antenna, all i could find is where the chip is, so i circled what might be the pins of the antenna.
so my last hope is try to add a copper tape/wire to the antenna so i could get a fix, but i need to know the exact location of it.
i circled in red what i think is the antenna.
im waiting for the copper tabe to fix, so in the meanwhile i would appreciate anyone that can point me to the antena direction

Hi there.
I have a G5 as my backup phone. Recently, I've replaced the fingerprint scanner (it stopped working as a button, no cleaning would help, so I've bought new part online and replaced it), and after that I have no signal (-1dbm 99asu). Not even an alarm call is possible.
From my research, the antenna module is the bottom slice of the phone, you attach the battery to (one with mic, USB-C and bottom speaker)? I have both original bottom part and a Cam+, no signal on either of them. Where else should I look for any damage, that would lead to my problem - no signal at all?
I have a similar problem. The signal is very low everywhere, I tried to clean all the contacts between the bottom part and the phone, and nothing changed.
Me too i have a problem with the signal since display change. How can i get it fix. The phone has very low signal and it has network only on 3g on LTE it hasnt any network and 2g signal doesnt have.

Well, the pcb or mainboard has a small flex type antena on the back of it, it's black and has some lettering on it and it connects using coaxial type push connectors, also the phone connects to the aluminum case via some exposed pins on the mainboard, the case acts as an antenna also, if you need pictures I can take some tomorrow, I work in a cellphone shop and I fix an LG g5 almost every day, we have some main boards laying around, you most likely bent one of the pins that connects to the case
nah i got the same problem here after disassemble the phone. I already clean all things that contacted with the backdoor or with mainboard but the problem still there. Only got 0-1 bar of 4g even it near the tower until it change to 3g with the same condition. but the 2g signal is always full bar.
