Completely and utterly bricked Nook Tablet - Please Help ): - Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet

I made a post 4-5 weeks ago about this(no one replied sadly) and since then I've been using a bootable SD card to use my tablet. I got errors before (something about cant mount E: )
I was stupid and (if i remember correctly) formatted all the partitions (don't judge, I was stupid). Since then I've tried to replace all the partitions (except for mmcblk0p11, mmcblk0p10, and mmcblk0p5).
I start the nook tablet after the process and it boots into CWM and wont leave it. I have also done the Total Wipe which works then when its in the restore process and reaches 25% before it gives me an
error saying to restart and and try again. Any help and i would be very appreciative.

If you deleted all partitions (that includes DATA, ROM, etc...) then you might have a problem. I recommend using the repart.img found here if you want to restore your nook back to stock:
http://raywaldo.com/2012/06/how-to-un-brick-a-nook-tablet-8gb-or-16gb/
If you just want CM installed internally then make an SD card with CWM Recovery on it along with the ROM and GAPPS files. Just install the .zip from the SD card and you'll be good.
If you have problems or need anything explained PM me.

I mentioned above that I have tried the Total Wipe and it only gets 25% done till it gives me an error saying to try again or contact customer service.

This should be your next step after the repart.IMG

Um? repart.img doesn't work... And the partitions are formatted but not corrupt or broken in any way. I've tried the parted binary before but it never asked to repair the partitions.

Here it is

In "some cases" it may work. But if the tablet is borked and you can't get the drivers (other than adb) to load, Then you pretty much have to boot with AdamOutlers ubuntu partition restore. There are times when you just can't get the drivers straight.
Info... It didn't work for me.
Not saying it works for all borked tab's. Everybody has to try things.

Fix for bricked nooks from CM7 "formatted sd"

for this fix, you will need to have a CWM sdcard ready and waiting followed by and drivers properly installed for your tablet.
YOU MUST have CWM running from sdcard to fix this issue. Otherwise nothing will happen.
instructions to install to sdcard are here (I suggest using windows)
Needed files for download:
just download this zip and run the script while booted into cwm from sdcard.
download it here.
Instructions: Boot from sd (don't worry, it will work), ensure sdcard is mounted, and then you just run the fix.bat from the computer after extracting.
Credits: Succulent for the xloader image
Fattire for the idea that it might have formatted mmcblk0p1 (which it dead instead of mmc1)
You're welcome.
Might want to add that the cause of the "brick" appears to be that CM7 is confusing mmc1 and mmc0 and instead of wiping the first partition of the SD card, it's presumably wiping the first partition of the emmc, which contains the x-loader.
I already have said it.
Ah okay... well glad everything is fixed now.

Bowing head in shame here...... Rookie mistake!
Looks like we have to make a bit of a tweak to the system then do some testing.
New download link due to a small scripting error.

Hi Indirect. I see that you have fixed your NT. I did not use sd i did install cm7 internally but i did format all the mounts . And now it just restarts in CWM. What should i do. Any idea please
Well guys, I'm still having problems. I ran the brick fix before you updated it - didn't work. I then re-ran after you updated it - still didn't work. It'll boot to CWM from SD, but won't boot to any ROM. Tried re-installing CM7 (didn't work), then I tried the Nook141root.zip which supposedly installs the BN 1.4.1 from CWM (also didn't work). Tried re-running the brick fix a handful of times after and before installing each ROM with no luck. Then I tried running it without installing a ROM. Tried the brick fix then I tried the BN 1.4.0 restore file. I tried on multiple freshly formatted SD cards and I even tried on a computer I was working on with a fresh install of Win7 with a fresh install of the drivers just to rule that out.
Before all this I had CWM and CM7 installed internally - if that makes a difference. Ideas?
Edit: More info. When trying to wipe data/factory reset in CWM I get the errror "E:format_volume: make_ext4fs failed on /dev/block/mmcblk1p2"...this occurs right after rebooting from the brick fix.
Edit 2: More info yet...in the brick fix I'm getting the text "error: device not found" twice right after entering "y" then again a handful of times later. Is there anything special I have to do in CWM to get it to detect it? I have sdcard mounted...
Im geting this and then my nt restarts by itself and then im back in cwm again so nothing is fixed.

What do you have mounted to get it the fix to detect the tablet? Does it matter?

Actually with mine it does not matter . I get till the step y or n without mounting nothing. Than i mount the sd card and press y and enter.
Than as u can see does try to write something and than my nook does reboot .
And the ending is the same. So no progress so far.

Were you running from internal or SD when it bricked?
Does it boot to CWM on it's own without an sd in the slot? If it does have you tried restoring/flashing a backup?
Reason I say about the backup is I just bricked my own systems on purpose when running from sdcard, it kept gpoing back to CWM after the xloader was returned to it. Restored an original backup and all is well again

Yes i have had it internally. Not in an sd.
Yes mine doew boot to CWM on its own without and sd in slot. And yes i have tried restoring to re flash back up. Cause i have installed CM7 once and it did run well. But than after installing some programs became slow so i wanted to redo it again. And than i did format all: bootdata, cache, emmc, rom, system,sd-ext.
And then i installet cm7 again and all the installing went well againg . But it just want start cause is missing something in one of the mounts. So what i think is only needed if ill be able to restore the data that is in all those small partitions like emmc. I know that bootdata, and cached gets backed up but i dont know if the orthers are backed up or not.
Thanks for trying to help.
Edit: I have to go to university now. But if it would make it easier for you to help, I can shot a video afterwards with all the steps what i have done and how is my nook behaving now.Just let me know .
Edit1: I did try to restore to stock or update to 1.4.1 but it tells me MD5 mismatch.
Is it possible that i can push in with adb the files that are in the boot data, eMMc and other mounts i mean one by one.
I was running internal when it bricked. Only boots to cwm from SD now.

I'm in the same boat...I think when we did a format of the rom partition, we lost some data that was not backed up...That being said I have done a lot of reading and I think all hope is not lost.
We did not format the "factory" partition which from what I have been reading may contain a backup of the "rom" and other partitions.
I wonder if it is possible to pull the data from the factory partition, extract the data that we need and then push the appropriate files back to where they belong? It's way beyond my expertise, although I do have ADB working and I think if someone could point us in the right direction, it wouldn't be that difficult...I could be completely off base though...Good Luck and If I make any progress I'll make sure I pass the info along.

I got the bloody ADB issue.... I was able to boot to CWM from SD card, and it's mounted. BUT! Adb devices gives me nothing, no device. I did all the troubleshooting of the driver, i got the "Android composite ADB interface" device but still no adb device appearing. Please help! My only idea if this fix can be incorporated into a flashable zip. May be there is some other way?
Thanks.

That's exactly what I've got. I'm going to spend a little time on fixing that up today. ADB just won't work through CWM for me.

I had thought about a flashable zip. I will look shortly and build one
I tried repartitioning my nook and it really bricked it now. It won't boot from SD. Tried a different card and fresh download of CWM. I think it's totally borked.
Edit for clarification: repartitioned from within CWM on SD
Edit2: Tried a 3rd card (first 2 were 32gb, 3rd was 16gb) and it let me back into CWM. ADB still isn't working though.
Edit2 clarification: I only say ADB isn't working because the brick fix says device not found. If I'm wrong please feel free to correct me.

Mne does not say that but it restarts my nook. But it does not fix it. I think its just some small starting files missing. But im not so good so i cant help it. So im just sitting and watching around internet if there is any fix. It looks that they have had the same problem with NC to start with to.

/emmc/ completely corrupted, can't format it

Edit: I think i fixed it by "cleaning" with diskpart and using an sd card to copy a rom and flash it, then booting up android and letting it format the internal storage. Will report back if any problems occur! Check post # 6 on this page for the solution. Also, sorry for the erratic writing, it's 4:55AM here and i need to be up at 9AM!
AtrICS rom did a random reboot and was saying something about encryption failed. Strange, i've never used that setting (i don't even have a screen lock). I rebooted the phone and it wouldn't get to the ROM, so i went into recovery and tried restoring a backup. After a few seconds it aborted. Strange. I mounted usb so i could copy a fresh rom.zip to flash, but after a few MB, it was throwing a "cannot read from source disk" error. Internal storage was corrupted.
I can read data from the partition, but after a while it'll lock up. I cannot write to it at all. I also get an error in CWM "unable to write to ums lunfile (no such file or directory)".
How can i fix this? I was thinking full sbf flash, but is that too risky? I'm in the UK (t-mobile), came with stock froyo, unlocked bootloader and flashed gingerbread onwards. Is it safe for me to flash back to froyo or something, or will my unlocked bootloader get me bricked? How can i fully clean this pesky corrupted partition any other way?
Thanks.

Sure did not mess with encryption. Rsd flashing did nothing, fastboot does nothing for me. Now the rom I'm stuck on is getting errors and fc's like crazy and the touch screen is beginning to fail.

Damn. I would have thought RSD would be the last resort...
I think i've made some progress. I have to be up in 5 hours so i'll be making this short. You will need an SD card.
I was sick of the lockups created by the corrupted /emmc/ partition, so i rebooted my phone, went back into recovery (it would never mount any filesystem after mounting emmc once, so a reboot was needed every time) and mounted emmc. Showed up on my computer, and gave me a chance to copy my photos and all that. Thank you!
I started CMD as an admin and typed in

Went into Disk Management and right clicked the black bar "unallocated space" and made a new simple volume, formatted as fat32 and that's that.
I then copied a rom onto my sd card and flashed via cwm. Everything seemed to go well, i could boot up (remember, because of the failed encryption, i was wiping my /system/, /data/ etc to try to get a fresh start so i had no rom to get on.
Will report back any problems. Just had one, i booted up fine but realised my usb cable was still plugged in so sd and internal storage were unmounted. Unplugged USB and phone froze (due to corrupted partition?). I recognise that freeze, i had it earlier on today (is that when the partition got corrupted?). It's rebooting right now, no usb cable plugged in. Wish me luck.
Android gave me a "your internal storage is corrupted" notification and offered to format. I allowed it and everything seems to be well! I will be filling it up right now before going to bed to see if it will lock up, but i think i fixed it!
Well congrats I'm glad you had such luck! It seems our problems are a bit different unfortunately because it goes a little deeper on my end. Thank you so much for the help.
Here is my struggle with the same problem. I have no solution, but maybe something here will help you?

[Q] Dead / Bricked Nook Tablet (8 Gigs)

Hi everyone,
First time poster so be easy! I have poured over these forums for a couple of days to try to find a fix for my problem. So far I've found a lot of things to try but none seem to work.
I have an 8gig Nook Color Tablet that somehow I deleted the EMMC partition during a flash from the SD card. I was running Cyanogenmod 10.1. Now all that happens is it comes up in Clockwork recovery. Here's what I've tried in an attempt to fix it:
Tried the BN_142_recovery.zip file from the SD card. It boots and starts to install, then gives the RED X.
I've plugged the device into my computer and used ADB to check the partitions. I ran parted /dev/block/mmcblk0. It did find errors and fix the partitions.
I've created both a bootable Clockwork mod and TWRP SD card and tried to install every recovery I can think of from the forums here. That includes the Adam's live Ubuntu (doesn't work on 8 gigs it would seem), Brickfix.zip, every partition fixer I could find for tablets (most seem to be for nook color so I didn't try those)
I've tried booting into Cyanogenmod off an SD card, run goo manager to download an internal image and flash it that way.
So far it all comes back with "unable to mount /emmc/". Forgive if the forum answer is there but i have searched since Saturday and either I've over looked it, or I didn't think it applied to me and maybe I'm wrong. Thanks!

Wow you've tried everything I can pretty much think of. Have you just tried using the SDC image file? Write it to an SD and boots cm10. You can check your internal partitions by using the file manager then.

Here's a picture of my internal partitions.
You should all of the following partitions (ex ROM, bootdata etc.) Rom /devconf is the location of your device information. Thats serial and MAC address and such.
If you have the partitions then maybe you just have a bad boot image.

I don't understand why you would get the red x during your repaprt.. that's usually caused by bad boot or ROM partition. If you're fine using an SD image everything will work fine for you. There's images for CM10.1 if you'd rather have that. It runs just as fast as internal.

Ok the plot thickens, but maybe this is helpful. I checked the file manager again and now looking in the ROM directory in root, there's NOTHING in there except a file called MAX17042.bin. What it's doing now is going to the N on the boot screen, you see "Read Forever" for half a second, then it says "A problem has occured. Please restart or contact customer service if it continues". So it's trying to get to the nook firmware now instead of Clockwork, but I'm still stuck

Odd because your internet still works... if you get the problem occurred error its usually the boot partition not there.
I would just use SDC image. You might mess it up more if you try anything else.

Actually I have one other question! If I have a nook here that's rooted internally and working properly, is there any way I can make a backup of its entire contents and dump it onto the dead one? They're both identical.

Yeah you can make a backup in your recovery program (cwm or twrp) then transfer the backup to the other, boot into recovery and restore.
Hi guys. I am reading that you are having problems still and noticed a small detail in your OP. You state that you have a "Nook Color Tablet". Are you aware that the Nook Color is a different device than the Nook Tablet, and therefore the ROMs etc are different? Are you sure you are on the right forum? This is the Nook TABLET forum, not the Nook COLOR forum. OK so I didn't take the time to follow the thread line by line here, but I did notice this possible discrepancy in your OP. Just making sure you are seeking answers in the right place. Forgive me if I am pointing out something you already know.

Hi Snooch,
Thanks for pointing that out! I didn't even notice. I definitely have the Nook Tablet TABLET. Just a typo on my part. Sorry for any confusion!
So if I'm understanding this correctly about the backup, I can take a Nook tablet that's rooted internally, boot off an SD card with clockworkmod and make a backup of that. Then boot off the card from the dead nook and restore that backup, and that should hopefully correct it? Then from there I should be able to restore the stock Barnes and Noble image. So far it's running fine on flash so I'm not too concerned. My father is using it though so I wanted the stock firmware on there just in case he happens to wander in Barnes and Noble with a technical problem and forgets to take the card out!

It may work to sort of repartition your dead nook. However if it is true that it backups all partitions then the serial number and Mac address would be the same. You'd have to have different ones in able to use the internet. But that shouldnt be a problem since the dead nook can run the SD card and use internet.
I've never made a backup using cwm, so I'm not sure if it backups everything or just data and sdcard. Its worth a try to move the data over to the dead nook.

The backup function of Recovery typically back up 4 partitions of the NT emmc: /boot, /recovery, /system, and /data. Depending on the particular Recovery program (CWM vs. TWRP) and its specific version the backup function can optionally backup the /cache partition. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37515697&postcount=31 for more details.

Hi everyone!
Sorry to bring up an older thread but I have good news! I had to wait until I ran across another 8 gig tablet. Well, luckily my friend got an 8 gig nook tablet just last week. I took a bootable SD card with clockwork mod on it, and made a backup of it. Then I put that in the dead nook and booted off, restored the backup and PRESTO! The default firmware for the nook tablet has been restored! The only problem now is the serial and MAC address are missing. I'll do some more research on that with these forums.
Thanks for everyone's help so far.

You can't use backups from other nooks, it causes internal info problems. You should have used a repart image if you wanted to restore stock...
Your serial number and Mac address are on your device. S/n in your SD flap if you can read it, Mac address on the inside of your nook (network/WiFi card most likely ). Use a SDC image to load cm10 and start the file manager. First go to ROM/devconf to find device information and enter your serial number and Mac address.

done that.
Yea I tried that I must have been doing it wrong though I would get everything built but it would be in my micro sdcard not on my nook. I am sure I am doing something wrong just cant figure out what. Anyway thanx for the thread!!!!
To get help, you need to provide more info: e.g., what error condition/message you got when trying out the various fixes.

First thanks for taking time to read my post. How I got in my position, cant tell ya . I should of done more research but to tell you the truth I was in love with my crazy cool Nook Tablet running JB and I got careless. Adams Ubuntu sd card it would load a lit black screen and no more left it overnight, nothing .Megd repart .img I would get the red X as soon as it popped up. I never created did the windows version when I tried parted I never got the error just some messed up version of what used to be a partition I had use of adb when in cwm recovery no serial # just 00 Icant mount anything followed Veronicas threads got Ubuntu on virtual box I would be able to do some steps and then I would not be able to load something like sdcard . I thought I had gotten lucky when I found the recovery .img with the tools already loaded. By The way THANK YOU soooo much for taking the time to make cool @SS stuff and let us play!! well I tried loading scripts to sdcard mounts and what not was not getting any thing out of my sdcard. I did the steps were you erase the partitions then remake everything my partitions looked sweet when I reboot nothing sdcard has the partitions and I ast thing I did was used the step to erase that was a few weeks ago I had given up on it .then as a long shot decided to pm Veronica and ask for some help. started trying stuff again loaded cyanoboot from there loaded twrp for some reason I lost my adb I cant load drivers but I can LOad some .img files from cyanoboot so my partitions and mounts are gone adb not working (but I can fix that )I have a sixteen gb nook tablet 1.4.3 rooted with nook and zergy. Is their a rom that I can load from cyanoboots boot menu that will fix everything. wishful thinking
look what i found
I don't know if this helps but I did a cwm back up brfore getting bricked and then I copied my sdcard to my gf's pc I forgot all about it she pointed it out

If you erased (without first backing up) the 2 partitions /rom and /factory then you have wiped out your NT's factory-installed individual device data (MAC address, security encryption keys, serial no., etc.) without which the NT will not function. The backup made using CWM only covers the 4 partitions /boot, /recovery, /system, and /data, so you won't be able to restore this data using CWM backup. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37515697&postcount=31 for more info.
So trash it.?

If you have an SD card on hand I'd suggest that you first burn a SD image of Succulent's CM10.1 (http://iamafanof.wordpress.com/2013/02/18/cm10-1-jellybean-android-4-2-2-for-nook-tablet-0218/) or CM10.2 (http://iamafanof.wordpress.com/2013...id-4-3-for-nook-tablet-imgsdc-boot-09aug2013/) and see if your NT would boot and run CM off SD card.
If it does boot and run off SD then the device data is probably intact and you can proceed to flash stock or CM internally (or simply just continue to run CM off SD).
If it doesn't I'd suggest you contact @AdamOutler for help with restoring a copy of romdata.zip to your NT's /factory partition.

ok the only thing I have been able to get to work have been recoveries. tried to boot Cm 10.2 sdcard you recommended the sd card did not boot so I used one that loads up CYANOBOOT went into boot menu took that sd card out put in the rom sd go into boot. My nook tablet's screen went black lit internally. Is it loading rom? or am I SOL?
When you boot up the CM10 SDcard it should boot into Cyanoboot which in turn should load SD CM10 ROM (and should indicate that it's "loading SDC ..."), then the screen should black out for up to about 3 min before boot-animation (counter-rotating CM circles) appears.
If Cyanoboot does not appear then the SD card is not bootable (see Notes section of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36685310&postcount=1 for some potential causes). Also you might have to boot the NT from its power off by inserting a powered USB cable.
If Cyanoboot loads SDC ROM but the screen goes dark for over 5 min then the CM10 boot has failed.
Tried and tried no luck
Thank you for your time

hey wantd to thank you for the help you provided, my old nook was possesed wound up breaking charging port frying the battery lol total dissaster... believe it or not all my devices are rooted and rommed that nook just got away from me. long story short bought the same model 1.4.3 16 gb off of craigslist for $ 40 had iy running cm7 10 minutes after i got it home ran for a day installed Succulents cm 10.0 then downloaded cm 10.1.3 from cyanogenmod had to flash gapps twice besides adb being offline everything is groovy!I am not sure if its repartitioned rite I have 5.50 gb internal 7.45.45gb internal my big microsdc are all corrupt so im using a 2gb (work is slow so gonna have to wait for a 16gb). Is there anything cool I can add mods kernel;to make it even better shoot me a message or reply if anything comes to mind

Bricked Noob Nook

I had my device rooted about a year ago, came back from Afghanistan and it updated and unrooted. Attempted to redo it and looks like i bricked my nook.
Any1 willing to remote in and fix my nook...? i've read just about all the stuff on here and cant figure it out. Thanks to anyone who would be willing to spend a few min and help.
Try the repart.img burned to sd-card.

So i followed the instructions and get to the point where my **** is bricked... I get the "fail" part of that link listed, so i follow it to the help links below that, but it gets into ADB push and stuff like that... so i google for a hour or 2 on how to do it. Which leads me to my ADB drivers dont work correctly, so i try to fix them for about and hour... and im back to the point where i need some advanced help....

Is there anyone willing to help me out with this? Let me know, ty guys
I'd suggest burning a CM10.x pre-made SDcard image (e.g., cm_acclaim_10.1_21APR2013_HD_SDC_IMG.7z from Succulent's repo http://iamafanof.wordpress.com/2013/02/18/cm10-1-jellybean-android-4-2-2-for-nook-tablet-0218/) and see if your NT can successfully boot and run a ROM from SDcard. If it does then you can proceed to restoring stock ROM (or flashing CM10) internally on emmc.
Also, refrain from reformatting any partition (other than possibly /cache, /system, /data, if you have good reason to do so and know what you're doing), as you risk making the problem worse -- see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37515697&postcount=31.

Much thanks for the attempt. But after trying everything you siad (and following them to dozen of other stuff) still no fix.
Basically i need help to re-write my emmc partions it seems. Is this correct?
I can get it to boot to CWM from a SD card, but no further.
Additional info -
I cant get ADB to work at all, it boots into CWM (CWRM?) where i can apply update.zip and all that stuff, but ADB doesnt list my device (i tried on 2 different computers). Was thinking my drivers were messed up or something, but in device manager it lists my device as a E: and F: (emmc and SD card?) so i dont really know where to go from here.... fml

Follow the guide for setting up the SD card. Get to the last step:
wait until device boot into recovery.
This never happens, it shows me the "n" and reboots over and over.

Do you have another SD Card to try? I had the same problem getting mine to boot from SD after I updated it to 1.4.3 (ages ago), but trying a different SD Card fixed the issue.
Also, I think the post I have in my signature has instructions that are similar to that other link but might be a bit easier to follow. I wrote them so that a non-technical person should be able to follow them. Nothing against succulent, he does wonderful work.

i noticed that these new sd boots for recovery don't really work. i had to use the cwm and sd boot stuff from the nook color and worked like a charm. BUT! u have to be very patient and vigilant because depending on the type of usb cord u are using (factory nook usb cable, or generic cable) i may take awhile to boot from sd.
step1- download (https://www.mediafire.com/folder/dd1cwv3uw0u18/NOOK TABLET) <<-----sdboot.zip and cwm.zip
step2-download minitool partition wizzy
step3-put sd card into computer
step4-using minitool, delete partition, create partition (make primary, and fat32), right click on sd card (usually F set flag to active and change partition ID type to 0x0c fat32lba and then click apply. (IN THAT ORDER)
step5-once parted copy from the sdboot attatchment provided to sd card, the recovery.img, MLO,flashing_boot, and u-boot. Also put the cwm emmc.zip provided as well into sdcard.
step6-put sd into nook, MAKE SURE NOOK OFF BEFORE U PUT IT IN OR U WILL HAVE TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN, then plug nook into computer via usb cord, be patient and wait for nook to boot, once it finally boots, U MUST BE VERY QUICK AND PRESS "N" THE SECOND CYANOBOOT POPS UP, GO TO SDC RECOVERY NOT INTERNAL RECOVERY. that will load up sd cwm, once it is up it will now let u install the cwm i provided. install it.
step7-once this is done unplug it from comp, turn off, and repeat steps 3-6 (BUT THIS TIME ADD THE CYANOGENMOD 10.+ YOU WANT TO USE IN THE SD CARD AS WELL ALONG WITH THE CORRECT GAPPS) once sd cyanoboot pops up choose internal recovery instead of sdc recovery. install cm10+, gapps, and the internal cwm emmc.zip i gave u as well for good measure.
step8- once done take out sd card and reboot regularly with/without usb doesnt matter. u should be good...........it seems like alot but its actually rly fast when u got the hang of it.
I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. LMK if my link doesnt work. these sd files are the only ones i found that actually work for me. maybe they work for u

Closer than anything i've tried! When i try to choose internal recovery the system just freezes and i cant get it to go any further! I was soooooooo happy then this crushed my dreams lol....
Thank you so much dude, any suggestions to finish this out?
edit:
Added information, after installing the flash emmc provided, it says everything was fine.
Then when i go back to the main CWM menu, i have a error saying:
E:Cant mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Cant Open /cache/recovery/log
E:Cant mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Cant Open /cache/recovery/last_log
Dunno if this means anything really, but figured more info is better. Thanks!

that info is crucial actually. and this is what happened.
whatever you did to you nook prior to all this messed up ur internal pertitions. meaning they are all different sizes and such than they should be. maybe u installed something that belonged to another device (not the sdboot that wouldnt do it) more like a wrong cm version or something or even a kernel. whatever the case ur partitions are funky. going to work now but when i get back ill take a look and see if i can find something. i ran into same problem with my nook color a few weeks ago and got it fixed hopefully nook tablet has pretty much the same thing. getting it booted up is good though.will try to give u something later today

ALSO!, i believe it talks about just flashing cm7 based on this 1.4.2 stock flash. 80% sure u may need to update to 1.4.3 stock in order to proceed to flash cm10+ (WHICH IS WUT U WANT) cm7=garbage now that bexus-n kernel has been out and even without it the new cm 10.+ cyanogenmods are pretty sweet.
(if u get it working, word of caution is the 10.2cm stable+ later nightlies have some NT related internal storage problems as of today. so u might want to flash 10.2m1 if u so choose to go past cm7 gingebread) GOOD LUCK! i hope u solve this. because i know this thread would help alot of newbs when troubleshooting.
