music apps doesn't detecting songs except poweramp

I am encountering a strange problem.any music player except poweramp doesn't showing my songs.but using any file manager I can able to play songs individually it's annoying me a lot.has any one faced this problem?pls help me
Wait for a while then check again or try rebooting your phone. Btw, what rom are you using?
Moving your songs to a folder named 'music' might work too
Delete the double post too

I tried gtr, oxygen, nightly and all except ics rom but problem is there with me present I'm using perfect peso 2.3.
Songs are in music folder only
Ok!, try to browse using root explorer, and show hidden files, and find ".nomedia" file to the folder where the music files are located and delete it. Now go to dev tools and selext media scanner.. that should do the trick..

[Q] Please help!Music player list don't update...

After my sk17i update to stock 4.04,the music list of music player seems stop updating. It always shows the same music files even i have deleted it.What's worse, new music copied to sd card can't be updated too.
I have tried the ics walkman player published in the app section and cleared the data of music player and media storage app.But in vain.
Especially ,after i cleared the data of media storage,i found the music player and gallery don't show any contents until 20 minutes later. Now i doubt if the system need to be reflashed!!!
Hope anyone can help me.

(Q) Music Player

Hey People,
I have put a few albums on my phone, but when I go into the music player and select albums, its showing the albums twice.
Eg, Dr Dre Album, this option has a few songs, and the 2nd option of Dr Dre shows the rest of the songs.
I'm not good at explaining, please see the thumbnail below.....
I know that the files have the same respective album name.....
Does anybody know how to sort this?
Sorry for confusing you guys, and thanks in advance for your replies
I get the same but only on the stock Samsung music player, only a couple are as you mentioned but in my case the first track is listed as album then right underneath it is same album with rest of the tracks.
Poweramp doesn't do that, I thought it might have been a ID3 tag issue.
Can't see your screenshot, but have you checked that the 'Album Artist' fields are the same for each song?
For example, you may have the Dr Dre but one of your songs might have the 'Artist' as Dr Dre ft Eminem - you would need the 'Album Artist' to say Dr Dre for them all to show as the same album.

I get this on the stock player and also on "musixmatch"
The weird thing is, all the albums are showing properly on my Defy
The best way to fix it is delete the album from your device, open the folder on your computer, select all songs, right click on them, select properties and make sure everything is the same. Happend to me a few times when album artist was different for a couple of songs
Have checked all the tags (use mediamonkey on PC) & the tags are ok, only shows doubles in stock player, other music players display the albums correctly.
Did notice it appeared right after the first firmware upgrade if that any use.

Hey, I've had a look, all the details are the same part from the title and track numbers.....
When I transfer the albums to my Motorola Defy, it is showing the albums as they should

IMO PlayerPro is just as good, you just need to download the DSP Pack and then enable it in the app's settings...

Couldn't find the option to clear data / music, thanks anyway Slaphead.
I have sent an e-mail to Samsung, let's see what they say

ringtone trim?

Sites suggest that this is possible by default...or at least was. Is this not a feature built into the stock rom of the DNA? Or am I overlooking something?

Yep, except for some reason I don't have that option.
Edit: Looks like it's only for certain songs. Guess it's the file format.

Did you delete any apps or freeze them or something?
Because its 2 system apps that take care of it(see attachment, the last 2 apps in the list)

Hmm, doesn't look like I have trimit. I've debloated my phone, which might explain why. I've had the option for most other songs I've tried, though. Thanks for helping, by the way.

Looks like it lol. I found the same .apk that looks to be installed on your phone, having trouble installing it though using Aptoide. The phone simply shows "Installing", immediately followed by "App not installed." Any idea what's going on there?
Only works with MP3s so if you have MP4s you have to convert them first. I'm using "MediaConverter" and do it right on the phone. Still easier then on the iPhone thats for sure..

Ah, that explains it. To save time when copying over from my pc, I skipped the conversion process. Guess it doesn't like the iTunes format songs
Thanks for the help.
yes, it has to be another format than mp4

I've had to go into application manager and go to your music app and clear the cache and data for it. Then reboot. That always works for me. Sometimes, just a simple reboot will do the trick.

Dang! Maybe uninstall your music app, reboot and reinstall it again. That might reload all of your music up into the app and it will load the missing files this time. If that doesn't fix it, I'd have to think it would be some problem with the music files themselves, or maybe the music app named them something different. Such as, unknown artist or various artists. I've had Google Play Music do that sometimes for some files.
