I have just got my lumia 800, I have been reading pages and pages on disabling it. Even updating to 7.8
I read on here that you can't do it unless you have full registry access? But I was wondering if flashing it to a different firmware would give me the ability to do so? I was thinking of the Clean ROM Stock version like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2058498
I have the Unlocked Vodapone version if this matters.
You can install on your phone any OFFICIAL ROM with Nokia Care Suite but you won't be able to change anything in registry, so you have to check if you have Bootloader unlocked or not, if not - you can't do anything with registry and you will have to unlock your phone (Bootloader i mean).

I need guide to set my phone to unlimited number of developer app.
This is my phone's details
Model : HTC 7 Mozart T8698
Software : WP7.5
OS version : 7.10.8107.79
Thanks
Hi,
To increase the max number of app on your phone, your phone needs to be interop unlocked to be able to install a regedit app and to modify one registry key.
But, if your phone is interop unlocked then your max number of app is near from 2 millions so, you don't need to modify the registry key anymore
With your firmware version you won't be able to interop unlocked your phone except if you use a goldcard to either install RSPL/HSPL and install a custom rom or to install a old version of WP7(a nodo version), update to the first version of mango, use the interop unlock app of Heathcliff.
In the two case, you will have to reinstall all of your apps, photo, ect...
Good luck
I have an Omnia W, with the original version 7.5 I used the WindowBreak.
After the update to 7.8 via the Zune the WindowBreak stopped working on my Omnia W.
I did the procedure again, I accessed the site, select WindowBreak Diagnosis using, but I can not unlock.
Something else must be done to use the WindowBreak with 7.8?

Samsung patched the exploit that WindowBreak (and Heathcliff's interop unlock) used back in the KK2 update, which most people got along with Tango. There's really not much that can be done about that. As always, I strongly recommend against updating your device through official channels without verifying what the update may do to your unlock status.

Hey everyone!
I've checked for weeks now on Zune for the Windows Phone 7.8 Update. and have resorted to using the navifirm method.
It's factory unlocked from nokia, RM-803.
I've done everything correctly, but Care Suite 5.0 just gives me a 'Software Status: Not Upgradable' message. The refurbish page has the 'Start' button greyed out and I'm unable to flash ANY firmware file at all.
Does anyone have a possible work around to this? Or am I locked on 7.5 forever?
Read a few threads you`ll find a few ways up updating to 7.8
This is probably the easiest for updating

I did a clean flash using this method

Now we can use the qualcomm bootloader is there a way I can simply just dump my current rom. Interop Unlock and then put it back.
I had a dev unlock for a bit (And used about 3 or 4 xap utilities - similar ones are adware on the official store) but it has run out.
My phone itself is working pretty good and I am not spending much time messing around with it (Which is a first for me).
If I reflash I expect to lose exchange activesync for gmail which works wonderfully.
(I was lead to believe the unlock was just changing a few registry keys.)
Hello, i have a nokia lumia 920 with 8.1, build 8.10.12393.890, and i can't seem to find anything to install more than the 2 xap limit provided by the developer unlock. The chinese jailbreak tool doesn't seem to be active anymore and doesn't do anything, (i really wanted at least to be able to install 10 xap's).Interop unlock doesn't work anymore (too late). And every other method requires an sd card, which lumia 920 doesn't have.Isn't there any way to root, vcreg, or remove that 2 xap limit?i also wouldn't install windows 10, as i don't wanna risk bricking my device.
Edit : Apparently, there is something called Wpinternal, wich unlocks the bootloader and grants root acces to the phone, the problem is now, it says there that i need a .ffu file that must match the rom image installed on my phone, i have an at&t cyan version, and i can't seem to find it anywhere, also says there's some risk of bricking, really intimidating stuff there :'(
Even later edit : So i tried to flash something to unlock the bootloader with wpinternal but used a wrong ffu file and messed everything up and bricked my phone, windows device recovery showed fatal error, and nokia recovery tool showed unhandled exception.
After realising that i may have messed up the phone forever and started crying a little, i reflashed an original image with wpinternal, and succesfully unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone with mass storage and registry acces
