Yes, you can
Hi.
I went through something similar, if not the same.
My rom got corrupted with the new kernel, I lost xrecovery and SEUS asks for the SD card to be mounted, which cannot be because ROM did not see it after kernel update.
before reading further, you need to have your phone rooted, you can do it via xrecovery, easily found in this forum.
what did I do to solve it?
***EDITED****
I installed a generic ROM via flashtool, you do not have to boot the phone to do it, the bad thing is that everything will be wiped from phone (not from SD though)
you can find generic X10 stock roms in this forum.
After that, you will be good to go.
hope this helps.
Hello guys. My problem is that I tried to install cyanogen mod 7.1 on my xperia ray. I did everything as i was said in forum. Finally i got it on, but is is bootlooping and none of the solutions work. I am really stuck. I tried to download st18 as a .tft file and install though flashtool, but i cannot do it because my phone is not running in flashmode. I am not sure if this is even possible. Anyway, if anyone could be bothered to give any advice on how to return to the st18 and forget about this idea, i would be really thankful!
download cyanogenmod 7.0.1 and install it , it will work
i am wondering why flashmod is not working
in future whenever you install custom rom , make a complete backup of stock rom
i have a backup of my stock rom on sd card , i can revert back to stock any time .

Seems like your phone is bricked and stucked at bootloop
Can you still access CWM ? If you can , just reflash the rom , maybe it will help .
Try this if all else fail http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vd8LxBwpYmg .
just flash back the stock ftf or if you have a unlocked boatlader flash a custom kernel and rom that runs on that kernel
Got stuck on Sony logo
Hi
Placed the ROM.zip in sd card and did a full wipe. In my CWM, there is no option to go back, hence rebooted the system to install the ROM after full wipe. My phone got stuck at Sony logo and even unable to access CWM. Please help!

There must be a back option at the bottom of every menu, and the back button may work too.
Re-flash stock rom.
And please don't spam.
Hello experts , I did a first attempt at installing a custom ROM (Ferra Jelly Bean v 36 for Xperia X10i) and everything went smooth, (my device was rooted and bootloader unlocked and CWM v5 installed) but for the first boot, only SONY ERICSSON appears and just stays that way with the SONY ERICSSON name.
Is it all dead or do I have some hope of reviving it? if yes then can you please help me?

Use SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) to re-flash your original Sony Ericsson ROM.
Download the FeraLab ROM GB v36 zip file to your phone.
Flash FeraLab Kernel v18.4 using Flashtool
Restart your phone.
Enter CWM recovery at the blue light/pink light and install FeraLab GB v36 ROM.
Reboot.
If it doesn't boot up completely and hangs during first start-up , re-flash Feralab Kernel v18.4 and then reboot again.
I'm having the same problem, X10i is stuck on the SE boot screen. This happened directly after I flashed the Feralab v36 rom, however, I couldn't flash the latest kernel beforehand, because flash tool failed to do it. I have xRecovery installed, but I cannot access it. Not only that but it does not seem to want to go into flash mode, have tried using flash tool to flash stock rom, I have tried using SEUS, and PC Companion. Nothing has worked so far.

As @doodownunda has mentioned, if you have access to Flashtool (Not sure why you don't have access to SEUS/PCC then) you can flash Tof37 X10S v9 ROM as the whole thing including kernel is a Flashtool flashable image. It's an all in one Kernel/ROM.
xRecovery is old school and comes with older Kernels, but CWM recovery is the main now.
Volume up button to access CWM recovery at the first flashing light on booting if needed at a later stage.
Seem you didn't flash the right kernel..
Sent from my X10i using xda app-developers app
You need to reflash 2.3.3 generic firmwares a:laugh:nd try install the rom again..
