[U] Make rooted phone faster - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi guys,
how can I make my rooted phone faster?
I've tweaked the startup with System Tuner and removed some bloatware, are there any other options to make it faster?
Or should I flash directly a new ROM? In that case I'm thinking about firedroid, should that do the trick?

You can try supercharging your Rom. Those scripts by zeppelinrox are really helpful. You can also try the supremacy scripts. Don't forget to thank them if u find their work.helpful.

Regarding init.d script

Hi, this is my first post.
I'm on SkuMIUI 1.9.16, DoomKernel v05 dualrecovery, unlocked bootloader & not good in scripting.
I've tried ZEPPELINROX's tweak on my x10 & it is quite nice. This thead got some tweak that are quite interesting.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1227269
So my question are, can it be applied on our x10?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks. Some scripts are ok to run.
What about this;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1111145
How to ensure/check that the new scripts does not clash with the original script in SkuMiui?
Which script will be load at startup? Especially the vm & taskiller tweak.
Do i need to delete the original script? Or do i need to change the numbering order?
Thanks again.

How to add init.d support?

I need to add init.d support for a rooted stock ROM. I know xboarder has included it on his ROMs and googled several ways to do it, but i dont know which is the right one for Amaze. Any useful help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Anybody? I think thats important for everyone who wants to install V6 Supercharger and have the settings remain after reboot... Hopefully xboarder or mike1986 will reveal the trick
The Amaze is Dual core @ 1.5 with a gig RAM, you don't need v6 tweaks
i know very well the specs of the Amaze. Using V6 is a much better option than killing apps with a task manager, and i will never have to check how much free ram i have left after using a bunch of apps because with v6 the ram cleans up itself, thats why i want to install it... so, if you now how to add init.d support to the stock rom and share it, that would be appreciated.
flash stock rooted rom they have init.d support bam and enjoy

use htc kitchen thats the easyest way for you google it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10216730&postcount=2
if youre talking about dsixda's Android Kitchen, he stopped working on it before Amaze came up, its not in the list of supported devices. So it works on it nonetheless?

yes it does man it will work just fine use a stock rom and put it through the kitchen its just scripts to do the process for you
Brilliant, thanks!
So, I was told by mike1986 (the creator of the Revolution HD ROM) an even easier way to enable init.d support and run custom scripts at boot. I've tested it, it works perfectly well:
Open /system/etc/init.post_boot.sh with Root Explorer's Text Editor and at the end before ;;esac type /system/xbin/busybox run-parts /system/etc/init.d, then create a /system/etc/init,d folder and its done!
Thanks again to everybody that helped!

Tweaks for 5830i

A friend of mine unfortunately has a 5830i. I managed to root it and make a cement backup, but then i noticed that not having an init.d folder nor a modded kernel there weren't many tweaks to apply.
Has anyone got some suggestions about it? For the moment i installed latest v6 supercharger, which seems to work nice.

Isn't supercharger, like all other script needs init.d to run too? How come u can make it work without init.d:/
I'm trying to implement init.d on mine under a Stock Rom. Everything is working, just need to make BusyBox run these scripts at the phone's start up.

If we manage to do this we can install those custom scripts and even make custom ROMs out of it.

Script manager! XD

I combined Script Manager and these 'hacks' I posted and I think it kinda worked, everything in init.d is being executed on Stock rom of our phone model.

Any performance init.d scripts?

Hello
I've just got a 101 G9 Turbo and just SDE/rooted it, but there seems to be little in the way of performance tweaks.
I've got an LG Optimus 2X phone and theres all sorts of tweaks in the init.d folder and was woundering if theres anything we can do to the G9 to give a bit more performance?
Something like this?? - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1730872&highlight=dalvik
Will the above work on the G9?
Most of the tweaks in general android section should work. Personally i prefer using Supercharger, which works fine for me. I do not see reason why the tweak you posted wouldn't work, if the system supports it. If there are problems with the script starting, use script manager to run it on boot.

Do you have a link for supercharger? Did you apply the it your self or was it already in the rom? Which Rom are you using?
Sorry for all the questions
EDIT: found it - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276

I'm using 4.0.7 rooted & deodexed. I applyed it myself. I didn't get whole 100% supercharge, so I had to use script manager to start supercharger script on boot.

Cheers julle131, just seen the ultimate guide link in your signature...
...the problem I always have with tutorials is they tell you how to install/do stuff but not why you should i.e. the benefits.
I'll try the supercharger tonight, I'm using go launcher HD, is that the one that everyone recommends, I use the normal go launcher ex on my phone that why I used the HD version.

Xperia U V6 supercharger settings

Guys, I own an Xperia U. I've updated it to ICS build number 6.1.1.C.1.0 via flashtools. After using for few days, I applied v6 supercharger script as I didn't feel this rom snappy. It worked fine but now after 2 weeks it's causing errors. Errors are like Windows' "Not responding" plz wait. Also, my battery backup dropped. Are there any favorable settings for xperia u?
Same problm
I also had a window popping every 10sec indicating I had a minfree
Values mismatch
V6 supercharger
Why dun u rerun the script and select moderate settings
Which setting r u using?? Aggressive???

I tried all three 512 settings but no luck. Whenever I open fb, I get error. I even tried the superchager calculator settings, which are actually a bit non-annoying than above three but after few time phone becomes slower.
I have also applied Pimp my rom tweaks but not the minfree values. Only I/O scheduler tweaks and three sleepers in kernel section.
Do you think that has anything to do with this freezing errors?

Did you patch the services.jar ? V6 worked fine for me but when I patched services, I got loads of FCs, huge lag and rom became nearly unusable
Let me know Cheers

Services.jar were patched automatically during installation for me via internet....
So it means we need not patch it??
I suggest you avoid it.. Just use Supercharger's mem tweaks without the Services.. But it might just have been an off case with me though.. Not sure

I did patch services.jar
So you mean I shouldn't have done that? Also, when I used its earlier version i.e. V8 script, I didn't even bother to patch services.jar. Coz I didn't know about it, seriously. The new script tells you whether you've patched services.jar or not. V8 script never gave me errors instead it did its convincing job very well.
I'll try v8 script again when I re-flash my stock rom 6.1.1.C.1.0 which is pretty snappy but still I have to find out whether zepplinrox's script works for 512mb ram devices or is it just hokum.
Don't use the V8 script.
Just use the latest V6 http://goo.gl/1JPl8
For ICS and up, use the latest Ultimatic patcher http://goo.gl/IvGL1
If your ROM is pre-ICS you don't need any patch for supercharging - but you can use the patcher for mulititasking mods

First of all, thanks for your reply.
As I said earlier, I'd re-flash my stock rom, so I did it. It pretty fast now. I applied the script without patching anything. It's working like a charm. With pimp my rom, I only applied the sleepers mod.
So my conclusion is to flash the 6.1.1.C.1.0 rom again if you guys are having problems. And apply only these settings. For more brief answers, you can ask me
Also battery is pretty darn amazing. Even though I changed my systemUI,apk, there's no change in its performance.
