Hi,
I can start the Acess Point app on my SGS2, and connect to it from my Laptop & Tablet, all works fine.
Is it possible to change the default IP addresses that the SGS2 gives out?, it's in the 192.168... range
Thanks
Dave

Heya,
is it possible to establish a pre-defined VPN connection every time my phone connects to an (unencrypted) WiFi before any other data gets transmitted?
I'm using: Samsung Galaxy S I9000 2.2.1 DocRom XWSJ8 9.9.5
Thanks,

There are things like killswitches that presumably do what need.
I would like to be able to connect my phone to my galaxy 10.1 tablet (not to internet share) over wifi to enable me to use lazydroid's application to remotely view the phone screen on the tablet. I DO NOT want to share the internet to the tablet but want to maintain internet connection on the phone only.
I was thinking that this could be doable by setting up an ad hoc connection on the thunderbolt thereby allowing my tablet to connect to it but can't seem to get this to work while keeping the 3g/4g data network active. Does anyone have any help or suggestions?
Thanks!
Hi
I just got my SGS2 today and tested it with a friend. He had wireless and everything was working over there. When I came home, I couldn't connect to my wifi. I always get 'obtaining ip address'...
I've been searching whole night and I haven't been able to solve the problem.
I can connect to my wifi when I enable the dhcp server, but then I can't access the internet anymore.
Network setup:
Modem -> Switch -> Wireless Switch
I get my ip address directly from my provider (Telenet - Belgium). I've no router at home and it works with every device, except for the GS2S.
Someone experience with this? Is there another way then to buy a new router?
Thanks in advance

Hello
yes, My girlfriend got Archos G80 for Chrismass, and we used it with Wifi.
Wireless is used WEP security, and it is working correctly.
My opinion, if you used wireless, look for MAC Address Filtering, maybe you should set this.
Thinking of saving Data at work and we haven't got WiFi - IIRC the S2 didn't have IP - can't find it on the SGS3 either?
