So yesterday I went to flash elegancia 4.5 I'm runing 4.4 atm. And lliors twrp, when I went to recovery all it showed was the twrp screen then black screen and restart to white HTC screen and stuck there..I can't get into recovery at all..I tried diff. Version of twrp and cwm recovery and I get the same effect...no matter how I try to get to recovery it just restarts after a sec and white HTC screen...
Is anyone else experiencing this?
Does anyone have any idea how I could fix this?

Boot into fastboot and at a computer run the command "fastboot erase cache" then reflash a recovery to be safe. run the erase cache command again and should be fixed
Thank u I'm gonna go try this right now, will report back

Have you tried flashing stock recovery?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk 2
did you flash the AT&T one and NOT the International one
I flashed only at&t versions and no I didn't try stock recovery..won't that mess me up worse?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
You should flash the stock rom.
If your phone runs good, you can try to get custom again.
If not, tell us.
Its not a Rom issue, phone is still working and running fine, I just can't get into recovery...would stock Rom change anything?

And how can I flash a stock Rom when I cant get into recovery?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
Download the RUU for your device. Re-lock the bootloader. Then simply flash the rom from the RUU. It will wipe SD card so be careful. It will reset your bootloader, recovery and rom back to factory settings.
Downloading ruu now gonna try and hope it works!!
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda app-developers app
Ok so ruu seems to have fixed it I was able to get recovery and flash back to elegancia 4.5 that was the strangest thing that's happened to me.. lol sucks I had to wipe my memory card:/ but thanks very much for the help guys!!

I have a thunderbolt s-on radio 1.49 I'm running a sense 3.0 ROM at the moment with cwm I've been wanting to try the bliss ROM soab but everytime I install I get stuck at the boot screen then just starts over but never booting into the Rom. I'm a experienced user been toying around since 2007 so if u can help me out let me know thanks

I bet you that the Rom you are trying to flash has a different kernel and that is why it is bootlooping. You need to flash the stock kernel or try using 4ext. It has an s on flashing tool.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
Ok that sounds right can u point me to the right place to get the stock kernel ?
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda app-developers app
What if I boot into recovery useing comand prompt
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda app-developers app
Won't make a difference if you boot using a command prompt. If the Rom has an aftermarket kernel it won't boot for your device because it will be unable to flash the custom kernel since you're s on. It can however be done you just have to go about it a different way. I do.t know how to do it that way though but there are guides. I would try getting s off honestly. It's easy to do.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
definitely flash back to stock rom and get s-off it makes things so much easier
Yea it does thanks u guys I flashed back to stock from hboot then used the thunderbolt tool gained s off then flashed recovery wiped then installed booted right up thanks for your help

So I've had this phone unlocked and rooted since the day I got it. I haven't got around to flashing a custom ROM's yet because of the pain of fastboot flashing the kernel. When I had a rezound you could flash a kernel in hboot by Packaging it into a PH98IMG.ZIP. I booted into HBOOT on my one x+ it seems to be looking for a pH 63IMG.ZIP so I guess my question is is this going to be possible with this phone?

Or you use Easy Kernel flasher ...
THE NAME explain itself
I read something about S-ON , flashing boot.img via recovery
How is typing in "fastboot flash boot xxxx.img". A pain in the arse compared to packing things up in .zips and copying them to the sd card

BTW its a good idea to have TWRP instead of CWM, because CWM does not support ADB Sideload.. and this feature can really save your a$$ in certain situations...

Suppose if you by mistake format your device completely.. i.e. No ROM just recovery....
I did once
I'm pretty sure both recoveries support adb sideload. I personally have had more luck with TWRP but both recoveries have been said to work.
Hey guys I have a note ii but one of my friends has an HTC One and she's having some trouble and I am unfamiliar with HTC stuff and need some help. She rooted and unlocked and has TWRP installed. I've tried flashing Roms thru TWRP and I can only get a stock build to flash sucessfully and even that failed on the first try but when I try to flash clean ROM it always fails and won't work. Any ideas what's going on? Thanks

Possibly an outdated twrp recovery. Try installing the newest version and see how that goes.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
What all are you wiping in twrp? What rom are you trying to flash? Maybe she needs s-off?
Sent from my HTC One
Is her one S-off? If not, I believe you'll need to flash the bootIMG/kernel seperately thru fastboot . I'm guessing cuz I have HTC Evo LTE and it's the sane way if you're not S-off.
If you're unfamiliar, I bet there's guides stickied in general or Q&A.
Good luck.

I wipe everything when I do it. I've been rooting for a long time now and I'm pretty good but I've never owned an HTC device so I'm not sure how to check if she has s-off but she is rooted. I was able to flash a bone stock 4.3 ROM but I couldn't get clean ROM to flash

You Do NOT need s-off to flash any current ROM's on the one. And you don't have to flash kernels separately like on older htc phones, so don't worry about that.
Honestly I really don't see why your having trouble with clean rom... What exactly is it doing when you try to flash it?

I have managed to unlock my phone, but I cannot root it! I simply want to flash a ROM from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987885
Please help me. I have rooted an HTC Vivid once before, but my knowledge on rooting is very small.
There is no need to root just to flash a custom rom, just unlock bootloader, flash a custom recovery and flash the rom. The custom rom will come with root access enabled.

1. A good way to go about rooting your phone would be to have a look around the forum, and see if any help topics have been posted. Even the most cursory look will likely get you what you seem to be looking for.
2. If you have done the above, then do tell us what you have tried, where you got to, and what error'ed out. That would help people help you.
A wrong way to go about this business would be to post a new topic in the help subforum, asking someone to help you root, without having done any of the above.

Sorry about that. I attempted to flash several ROMs and managed to somehow delete my os. I was able to restore my phone with a RUU after 12 hours of trying to bring it back lol. My phone is currently relocked. I would love to put a ROM with sense 5 on my phone, but I am worried about bricking my phone again. I tried to find threads to help me, but I for some reason was unable to find a thread that actually explained how to root, and put a custom ROM on the HTC One X+. If someone could explain step-by-step how to approach this I would very much appreciate the help.

Download and copy across a Sense 5 ROM - I use Insertcoin and its great
Just use Hasoon's toolkit to unlock your phone and flash TWRP. your old unlock.bin should work
reboot into recovery, wipe (dont format your storage), and flash the ROM
flash the boot image
Done

I've been doing some reading, and I think I'm an idiot lol. I heard there isn't a sense 5 ROM for AT&T non-international yet (though I could be wrong), and I'm pretty sure that's what my phone is.

Download whatever recovery .img you wan't, and the custom rom.
Copy the custom rom to your internal storage.
Then just boot into fastboot and use the command "fastboot flash recovery xxxx.img" reboot into recovery and flash rom.
