Hey XDA,
I have a question about our Sense UI, it really looks GREAT, but is there a way to make it look like the Touchflo on the HTC HD2?
With the slidingbar down there, and when you slide it you get certain tabs with specific information, like weather, news, apps, etc.
2nd question, what is the live wallpaper called from the nexus one with the moving grass? the one, you see on the bottom of your screen grass, and when you tilt your phone, the grass moves, I love it, but I can't seem to find it
3rd question(last one), how to enable live wallpapers in SenseHero 2.1 Build 5.0?
Thx for reading, I hope you guys can help me!
First Answer: have a look at XDA's Android Themes Thread, at forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=527
Second Answer: I've seen that wallpaper at the Marked, i belive it's called moving grass or something
Third Answer: You need to innstall the livewallpaperpicker.apk
multiupload.com/05Q6DK6DO7
Can't post links yet, sry
Ah, you need both the LiveWallPaperPicker.apk AND the LiveWallpaper.apk to get live wallpapers to work.
Google for them, i don't have time to do it now.
Are there any good widgets that displays facebook/twitter and other social networking updates like the stock feeds and update widget in TouchWiz? I am using ADW, which obviously doesn't have access to the Samsung widgets (stupid Samsung for putting them in a non-stock location). I really liked that widget, and would like something similar, instead of having to use separate widgets for Facebook and Twitter.
Scrollable widget is a plus!
Pure Messenger does facebook, sms, gmail, pop and twitter..

I love pure messenger. Much better than the stock Samsung app in my opinion.
I too miss that TouchWiz Updates and Feeds app. I will give the Pure Messenger widget a try, seeing how I was looking for a good email widget as well.
Is the only problem with getting the Feeds and Updates widget to work the location? If so, where does Android keep the stock widgets in the filesystem? I am thinking it might be possible to move the F&U widget to where the stock widgets are located and use it from there. Anyone have any insight as to whether this would even be possible?

I don't think that's possible because those widgets are built into the tw ui. If that wasn't the case then we would've already had sense widgets running on adw and launcher pro.
Feeling Vibrant on xda-app

Actually, I searched through astro file manager and I was able to find the apk for all of Samsung's Widgets. I do know you can copy the apk and edit it though, as I was able to to so. However, I don't know what or how to "fix" them to use outside of touchwiz.
Anyone willing to take a look at it?
I would be really interested to hear if anything comes about this, i too miss it and would like to know if it can happen.
Nobody is going to "take a look at it" because it is not possible.
Couldn't find a free version of pure messenger I always pay for the full version of apps I like, but never pay for apps that don't have a way to try before you buy. If there is a free version could someone through a link this way ? Thanks!

You always have a 24 hour period with the Android market. If you don't like it, uninstall/cancel and it won't charge your card. You only get to do this once per app though.

It comes up periodically on the -dev list that this is actually harmful to developers: if a user install it, and doesn't like it (or doesn't get to give it a proper test, or it has a bug on their device) and refund, thats it. They will never come back because it was broken and they don't get to try again.
If there is a trial/limited/ads version and that happens, they can try again when the bug is fixed (or when they have more time, or a better environment, etc.)
On the vibrant this likely happens a lot, since it has such performance issues to begin with - "I installed foo, and my phone started locking up, so I refunded. Now its been a week and it turns out it wasn't foo at all, but I can't try it again..."
Tmobile has a new app that does several social sites in one its pretty good, but not perfect for one it doesn't have an associated widget.

Yeah it really does need a widget.
You have 24 hours after purchasing an app on the android market to "return" it and get your money back.
You can buy Launcher Pro Plus. It has a scrollable Twitter widget that's the best you'll find in the market. Plus he's constantly updating and is adding Facebook support.

I'll add my vote for Pure Messenger. Dev is also one of the most reponsive out there, so if there is ever an issue, it won't be there long.
Widget does all gmail, email, sms, facebook, twitter, and scrolling messenger list widget is great in adw and lp, soon also livehome has scrollable widget support.
Livehome is fun enough to deal with the lack of scrollable widget support until it's done.

I've been using Pure Calendar for a while now. I love the naked look.
I just bought Pure Messenger to give it a shot. I really like the look of Sammy's widget but this would match up nice with my calendear.
Try an app called sotiallite it has twitter and facebook. It's a widget but not scrollible.

I've been reading references online about "Live Panel" being on the Galaxy Tab 10.1? What is this? I've seen no actual instructions or clarity as to what it is or how to use it. I know I'm missing something here...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxB3xqG4vrQ
I don't have a live panel as such, but I appear to have the widgets that would give a similar effect.
I still haven't found a combined inbox although I have seen some of the other widgets. It just seems like they're promoting this as a combined widget with options. I haven't seen that.
Live panel is just the touchwiz interface of how widgets perform on you homescreens. Nothing to write home about. Like keeping a twitter feed open and updating on your homescreen.

I guess you've gotta just love those marketing guys...
Hi there,
Anyone know about a widget which puts all the posts from the "big ones" in one, scrollable feed? I want Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and various RSS feeds in one big feed on one of my home screens, preferably with customizable colours.
Must be more people wanting this... right?
Thanks in advance!

Try Sonet
https://market.android.com/details?...251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5waXVzdmVsdGUuc29uZXQiXQ..
Thanks for the tip, and sorry for the late reply! I tried Sonet, and it had all the functionality I needed, just one drawback: wasn't really stable enough for day-to-day use.
If anyone stumbles upon another similar app I would be happy to know.
Thanks again!
Am searching for an android launcher with gmail, facebook and twitter integration, I meant just the notification count like in windows 7 or windows 8 phones.Just the notification alone is enough. Can any body suggest me such a launcher which can show me missed call counts, unread mail, sms , facebook counts??
Try chameleon launcher. Its currently in beta for phones. BTW why don't you just add a widget for them to the home screen?
Chameleon for phones in my opinion is more adapt for large display, 5" min.
please post all questions in the Q&A section and not the general.
please see XDA rule 15.
thanks

Yo Stefano41094, I have MMX A110 which has a 5' display but still it doesnt satisfy my need. I need a simple launcher may like a windows 7 or 8 launcher with such integration. Let me know if you have come across such thing. Anyway, thanx for response buddy.
