hello there, im sure someone can help me out, i have worked with many android phones before and done alot of reading on the ONE X+. i have a one x+ on telus if it matters, and i have it rooted with no problems, every time i try to load a rom i get stuck in a boot loop, i also cant seem to access any storage through recovery or side load. i have tried different roms, kernals, recoverys, same thing, i have also tried going back to stock ruu and then trying agian with no luck.i have been using the " all in one root kit v2.3" (NOOB tool). its been a while since ive played with android so im sure im just doing something stupid but ive tried about 10 times now, any help would be great.
Thanks brenden
Did you used international roms instead of AT&T/Telus roms?

1) make sure you are on a compatible roms: international version won't work for AT&T
2) make sure you have your bootloader unlocked
3) make sure you flash the right kernel via fastboot usb or kernel flasher, because s-on devices (htc one x+ is one of them) cannot flash kernel via recovery
I will try to help but I don't know what your phone condition now, what recovery you are on, what roms/kernel you last flashed

my sister got Htc Rhyme and sometime it restart by itself. I cant find any information about rooting this phone.
pls help.
I used a program called HTC_QuickRoot_1.1.13_Release, though i do have s-on, and am currently in the process of flashing a different ROM. My phone is in a bootloop, softbrick right now....not sure how come all the techniques I have tried arent working. I would actually like to get it back to stock, but cant find any help
It will be cool, if anyone can make port of CM7 or MIUI rom to this phone.
Hi, masterminds --
I've got a problem with my AT&T One X+. It will charge when off, and boot into fastboot, but that's as far as I can go. I can use the Terminal (Mac OS X) to send fastboot and adb commands, and flash recoveries, but whenever I reboot into recovery, I get stuck at the HTC logo, with no recourse. It just reboots incessantly to that logo screen.
I've tried the CWM and TWRP .img files, but nothing seems to work.
How can I get back to the bare, stock boot sequence?
What's the best way to flash CM 10.1.0 using adb or fastboot?
what's the best custom recovery to use?
Thanks, all!

Are you on Stock ? If yes - would suggest you to rush to a hTC service centre, I had the same issue and there is no one to help me out (I was bootloader unlocked).
If you are already bootloader unlocked - you should use TWRP instead of CWM, as TWRP supports sideload.
Before using a 4.2 based ROM, make sure you have created 0 folder on your 'SD Card'
fastboot reboot ?
An HTC RUU should get you back up and running. Pretty sure it will wipe the entire device, though. http://www.androidfiles.org/ruu/?developer=EvitaRE . If you are interested in CM10.1 (or any AOSP-based ROMs for the AT&T HOX+ for that matter) be aware that call audio (and a couple of other things) is currently broken on the AT&T HOX+. Please make sure you are looking at the appropriate threads for your device, as none of the Interational HOX+ ROMs/kernels/recoveries are compatible with your device.

Thanks for the advice! I'm going to try the RUU .exe file. I'm totally fine with it wiping the entire device.
Thanks, also, for the advice on CM10. Do you use a custom ROM that works well for the HOX+?

As per my knowledge the Sense ROMs work just fine on ATT but there are issues with non Sense ROMs... Read the first few posts in the thread and last few before flashing...
The first few will give you the list of known bugs (by the OP) and the last few will give you bugs found by the users
Hi.
I have a Telus (AT&T) HTC One and after having it unlocked for almost a year, I've decided I want to flash a CM Rom on it because the stock firmware is holding the phone back.
Problem is, I'm running CWM 6.0.3.2, and apparently that causes issues when trying to flash new ROMs. I tried to flash a few but kept getting status 7 errors.
I tried to flash a new CWM recovery to my phone, but my pc was just waiting to detect my phone forever. So, now I feel I'm out of options. After lurking through many threads, I couldn't find any answers.
Just hoping you guys can help me out.
Matt
You need maybe to install HTC One drivers on your PC. And don't forget to tick USB Debugging from Settings
Hello all,
This may be the wrong forum to post on, but I have a somewhat big problem. I have an HTC Desire 816w that came from China. I were hoping by rooting it, it would remove the restriction of Google and I could actually USE the phone. So I unlocked the bootloader, rooted the phone, flashed CWM, then flashed a ROM (KingSense DS). However, when I flashed the ROM, I was given the option to wipe the phone. I had 4 GB of bloatware so why the heck not. However this made the phone weird and it now only boots to fastboot. I tried flashing the DS ROM again but to no avail. We then tried other ROMs but they also did not work (would force close and abort installation).
So this is my question: how would I be able to fix this? I had an idea of finding the stock recovery.img and boot.img so it would at least boot into stock but I have no idea where to find them. I unfortunately couldn't back up the stock roms so I don't have that. Any solutions? Would anyone have a stock recovery.img and boot.img that they're willing to share? Is this phone still "repairable"? Please help! :S

hello everyone,
noob here as this is my first post
i'm sorry for the book in advance, i just wanna give everyone the whole story.
i'm having problems with my at&t htc one m8. i've rooted it and installed twrp and supersu on it no problem(first time rooting) and made several nandroid backups. i made a stock back up and flashed to viperone rom played around on that for a while.
couple days later i still wanted to try other roms and explore what other roms had to offer, so i installed cyanogen mod 11, had some fun on that one. so i made a back up of this as well.
i then decided to try the google play edition [gpe] for the m8.(am i a flashaholic yet?) after this i wanted to compare the stock rom to the gpe rom sense i haven't used it in about a week.
heres where the problem begins:
so i tired to restore my stock backup and it gets past the at&t boot animation then goes to the htc one boot animation and freezes (or boot loops i guess). i figured maybe its loading or something but after 20 mins i got worried so i plugged it into my computer and rebooted it using the command line and command adb reboot boot loader. (thankfully it worked and i remembered this from the root video i used to guide me through the rooting process) it does this every time i restore that backup. so now i have three different roms backup and they work fine i can flash to and from any of them but the stock rom.
i did some digging and found that on cwm it might not backup the the boot.img or something about a partition?(figured it might does this on twrp as well) i know nothing of either. this is my only stock rom backup. i've looked for a stock rom to flash and can't find one so i'm hoping you guys can help me fix this backup so i can get stock sense 6 back.
as i said i'm a noob if someone could tell me what to do step by step to fix this or show me my mistake so i don't do this again. if it's fixable or give me a different solution or thread to get this problem fixed
i have sd card on the way if that matters. i am running low on memory on my internal sd.
any help will be greatly appreciated again sorry for the book.
i am assuming that you flashed the GPE RUU, if so here is how to get back to stock from that. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2721435
Thanks is there a way I can just flash between all of them or does the ruu stop me from doing so?
Until there is a RUU.zip for Stock unlocked or dev edition, it is a bit more complicated going from one to another
