There is one thread for the a miui rom but it is no longer getting support. is there any other dev who loves the miui and wants it on the onex+ maybe a port from the RD-Miui?
+1 to the op

go ahead an do it then.
actually i am trying to figure out how to. i know little to nothing about making a rom but there are plenty of guides. all i need now is time
AW: [Request] Miui support for hox+
after XIAOMI releases the code from MIUI V5 it should be a little bit easier to build a Rom.
I have it tested for me, but MIUI wont boot and i haven't the time for this...
Ok, guys, this is EXTREMELY important.
Please take yourself to the Official MIUI Facebook page, scroll down a bit and find their poll "Quick question: What's your current device?" and VOTE, VOTE, VOTE for HTC One X+!!! I already created a device.
May be we will get support for our device. And ask everyone you know to vote for the same.

Is there really a need to bump 4 diffrent threads with the same post?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk 2
I hope there is. Anyway... all threads are about the same. I wonder how I stopped myself from creating a new )) And hope this will help... At least we need to overtake the simple HOX.
attempting a miui port from one X forum. will report back. if i can get it to boot
Ok so I'm guessing that we will need a working aosp rom first to get MIUI.

My best guess after having tried and failed, lloir's AOSP would be fine. But then we need an AOSP based miui v5 as well (eg nexus or any other AOSP port). Sense based is in IMHO also feasible, not the best option though, as miui seems to put less ressorces on device specific versions. On my old SGS2 specific miui was slower and heavier on the battery then AOSP ports.
Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk 2
For miui you need 4.1.2 aosp rom for a base you cant use a 4.2.1 base. I'm just saying just so no one wastes time trying with a 4.2 base

What is the current status of the Rezound? I'm scheduled to buy one on craigslist tomorrow [unless it falls though]... my previous phone, a Fascinate, has jellybean builds [CM10]. So how about the Rezound? I did some googling, and concluded you can unlock the bootloader via htc.
Also.. I found a link that shows you can download the kernel source from HTC [ http://htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads ]
I put in Rezound, and it shows kernel 3.0.16, for android 4.0.. so does that mean jellybean will be supported? if not now, then soon?
thanks!
Since you are new, I won't flame you.
But, take a look around the dev section and you will see. We have lots of extremely functional CM9 ROMs. And our best developer Chad is making great strides on CM10.
And if your really into sense theirs a few good ones to choose from, newts xxx 5.1.1 is sense 4.1, viperRez 1.0.3 both are working great.. there's about four to five kernels to choose from all great in their own way. Some don't support undervolting, and only a couple will work on newts Rom as is.. and I say as is cuz the others will work you just need to do something with the zram (not sure to be honest I'm just an avid user). But I do wanna say welcome and have fun theirs lota informative treads and members in this forum.. greythewolf and I included. I did visit the dev forum, and I did see CM9 roms, but I didn't know how stable they were.
Anyway I bought the rezound!
Official support for Jelly Bean from HTC is unlikely, but Chad has made good progress on CM10.
Yea guys im having no luck lol.
Sorry
..............
go and ask at http://en.miui.com
thats not what I was asking.
WAS WONDERING IF YOU ONEX+
Users want MIUIandroid to your device.
I am willing to port
But need testers.
I'd love to test it out. I've got an AT&T model, if that matters to you.
oh sorry i misunderstand it :fingers-crossed:
will you port i from HOX?
i can test it and help you...
So what ROM are you going to use as the HOX+ base?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk 2
Hi loir.....
I was actually going to ask you if i could use ur cm10 base....i was going to build from cm10 repos and port from that but that makes no sense at all even if u did push to their repos.
And no. I would port from the gnexus. They are both xhdpi devices. But if worst comes to worst may need to port from the one x international since it is tegra 3 correct?
Edit:
I see u have pure aosp.
That is a lot easier....less issues with htcs headphone routing and easier methods.
I will have a port here tonight.
....
How is the cm ?
Like stability and working wise
Oh how I wish the was MIUI on HOX+. Just bought mine today, switching from Desire after 3 years - I have been using MIUI for the last 2 years or so. I already miss it, willing to test if necessary!
Wah.
I love MIUI. I'm a newcomer to HTC One X+ and comming from HTC HD2 just a week ago. I already miss my MIUI, can't live without it. Refreshing daily the en.miui.com website to check if they added my new device =)
I would like to help, but my device is still not unlocked or rooted. Need to make a test run for some time before I do. Don't know what happens with my warranty if I unlock via htcdev.
warranty depends on your country/region
eu/germany warranty is not affected
Hmm, thanks for the info. Any info about LV (Latvian/Eu) warranty? Or some place I can read about?
Sent from my HTC One X+ using xda premium
i dont no.
but has latvian the EU membership, so i think it will not be affected.
not sure...
Ok.
Will try and have something tonight.
Most definitely need testers for logs if no boot.
Hope the tegra doesnt give me an issue.
Going to be for international until att becomes more stable

I've been on the galaxy product line for my last two phones and have rooted them then installed CM on them straight away. Now that I have an HTC One, and it's still a fairly new device, I'm wondering what things I should/could do to it...
So far all I've done is unlock the bootloader, and I'm kinda waiting for ASOP Android to be released but are there any ROMs that are must haves or is there any reason to root it at this point?
Thanks for your help.
I suggest you look around the forum for yourself so you can figure that out

Yeah, I was expecting this type of reply. I've done a decent amount of searching in the HTC boards and this one. I'm asking the question for other people's opinions. But I guess you're right, I could go around the forums on my phone, so, that would be something to do on it although not what I'm looking for.
Sorry if that wasn't what you were looking for but that's my best suggestion

As a Samsung user for the past 3 years or so I've always used aosp Roma myself. I haven't even looked at a single aosp Rom for the one (won't until official comes out) my suggestion is use sense for a while. There's a thread over in international about some stuff the one can do. Check it out. I'd install a international Rom and play with it. (Arhd is great) If you flash an aosp Rom you'll lose beats and the great camera. Keep it (close to) stock for now and enjoy the new sense.

PAC, vanilla rootbox, paranoid android, aokp, slim bean all good ROMs, personally I use PAC and vanilla rootbox.

I wondered the same thing with mine. The next steps you could take if you wanted to: get s-off, get supercid, and pick a good Rom that you like. (for all intensive purporses the first two are negligible). I am currently on Android Revolution HD (arhd) and loving it. Fast and smooth with the 4.2.2 and good battery life. That's a good place to start.

Another vote for Android Revolution HD ...It's an amazing piece of work and just keeps getting better
It still includes an amount of HTC/Google Junk, but it's easy to fix with a root explorer or Titanium Backup

Let's wait for other reply maybe someone got the answer :/
Subscribing in case this is ever a thing. That would be great to be able to do.
Same here...been hoping that someone would come up with a solution for switching between a user's two custom ROM choices...especially after MoDaCo Switch came out. Maybe someday.

Ok, so I just came across a great thread when browsing through the One forums on XDA. It looks as though the ability to run multiple ROMs of your choice is already a reality, using MultiROM. BUT if you do decide to go through with this, make sure you make a full backup/nandroid of your current ROM, especially if attempting to run a 4.4 ROM, as there are still some questions as to it working correctly, in relation to the user's chosen ROM's updater script wiping the wrong areas and overwriting the current ROM. Also, from what I've read (to page 15, and then jumping forward to the last 2 pages), it appears as though you have to run a Sense ROM as your primary ROM, only IF you want to switch between Sense and non-Sense based ROMs.
Read for yourselves though and take caution if you decide to move forward with using MultiROM. It definitely looks promising!

Did you check out the link to the thread I posted above? It's already possible with MultiROM, but you just have to be careful and make a nandroid before flashing, which is pretty much the same with any ROM, and will probably be with MoDaCo.SWITCH V2 as well.

There is one from 2012. It's based on cm10 but it has many bugs! :|
Sent from my One X+ using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
There are porting guides out there that you can try and port it to your HOX+ . If you have the international version, you can base it off of your cm10 . Unfortunately for the ATT users (like me), we dont have a working cm10 to base ours from. I tried porting it using a sense base and I only got to bootanimation.
The problem with the HOX+ is that, despite being a great phone, it has a very small community and, at least on the inter-side, almost all developers have moved on to different phones.
One of the biggest HOX+ inter rom/kernel developers just broke his HOX+ too, as far as I can see all active non-Sense rom developers depended on him to some degree.
With, AFAIK, the last kernel developer/maintainer gone, even existing roms will start having a hard time staying up to date, as no-one will be able to fix kernel bugs or implement new kernel features that roms may require upstream.
I'm afraid that if you want something new for the HOX+, you'll have to make it yourself, there's no-one left to do it for you anymore, unfortunately.

I don't know who you're talking about. But if that developer is Lloir then believe me it wouldn't matter. Cause people asked him ages ago if he can make a MIUI ROM.. He said it's not open-source enough. And he also said he just can't stand MIUI.
I do agree with the small community thing though, I wish I bought a One X instead of the One X+
And I'm planning on buying an HTC M8 but I'm afraid it will have a small community so less ROMs and developers :|

I was indeed talking about Lloir. Indeed, Lloir won't have been the one to make Miui in any case, but he was the last remaining active kernel maintainer, something pretty much any other rom developer is depending on.
Plus, most rom developers for the HOX+ learned how to develop roms for the HOX+ from him in the first place.
While Lloir won't be making Miui, I think that, as long as no new kernel developer/maintainer will stand up, the HOX+ dev community will rapidly dry up completely, unfortunately.
That said however, we've been very lucky to have had these few talented developers in the first place (and still have a few), I've always been impressed at what the HOX+ community could do, despite it's size.
True that (Y) I don't know why but I'm not being able to quote you or press the thanks button o.o
