Package File Is Invalid - Facebook - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all,
I'm currently running Liquidsmooth Rom on my AT&T Galaxy SIII. I've got everything running fine, but when I go to install Facebook from the Play Store, I'm getting "Package file invalid" every time. I've tried clearing data from both the play store and the google play services, rebooted the phone into recovery and cleared cache and dalvik cache. The same thing happens no matter what.
After searching Google for an hour, I've tried everything. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you!
Edit
After trying to download on LTE rather than on WIFI, it worked fine. Please ignore and close this thread. Thanks!

It's not you. I have an unrooted phone and I have mines set to auto-update and I got the same message just yesterday. I think Facebook is going through some things right now. I heard that it was not updating properly from the Play Store up until a couple of days ago. Give it another few days I would suppose. Then contact Google and see what gives if it's doing the same thing.

Google Play Store Errors - Can't download anything

My Gmail kept crashing, and I read that I should clear cache and data for Google Services Framework. Since I've done this, I can't download anything from the market. At first I was getting error number 921. I messed around with clearing the cache and data for a bunch of Google apps, including the Play Store, and now I'm getting error number - 101. Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. It started today for me. Error 495. I've cleared caches, data, uninstalled and reinstalled play store, but still can't download anything. Is google having a problem? I haven't changed anything.
Thanks for any wisdom re: this issue.
Just a thought

I got stuck with a similar issue a month ago. What threw me was the errors always reported trouble accessing Google Servers. Guess what it was? My google wallet had been disabled because "The administrator of my domain" had changed the password. I AM the admin for my Google Apps domain. Stupid error reporting had me going crazy for a few weeks.
I caught on that it was my account when I tried another google account in play store and it worked.
This may not be either yours or the OPs problem, but if it's only PAID apps that won't download, you should look into your Google wallet. When you hit the page for account info, it will tell you if it is disabled. Worth checking out. If not, look for an apk for "Market Enabler" that can help otherwise. Good luck.

Play store force closing, can not sign into google no matter what rom

So as the title says, the Play Store force closes. Now I bet your thinking "This idiot. Why doesn't he just look around! The answer is somewhere!", but its a bit more complicated than that. The issue started after I applied the 2.17 ruu, flashed 4ext recovery then I flashed Wild for the night cm10. I was able to sign into my google account at that point in time, but the Play Store kept force closing. I tried clearing cache and data, I checked the download manager and it was enabled. I disabled it for the heck of it, got an immediate foce close of the play store then re-enabled it. Still no luck. So I figured maybe it was just the rom. I flashed MIUI v5. Same issue. I thought is was a JB issue. So I tried MIUI v4. Still same issue. So with no more ideas I ran the latest RUU. Guess what. It STILL FORCE CLOSES!!! I tried clearing data&cache for the play store again, no luck. So I figured if I go back to gingerbread and now I cant even sign into my google account for gmail!!!
I am at a COMPLETE loss. I even called google and they couldn't give anymore than basic advice. So if anyone has any ideas on what to do, please help!!!
Thank you for taking the time to read my jibberish.
EDIT: Well I let the phone update itself and now I can sign into google and also open the play store. NOW, the issue is error 912. I removed my account and resigned in, clear everything again and nothng.
you may have the wrong gaps flashed. if you know you have the right ones, try to download them and flash them again
Why dont you try the cracked play store installer??

[Q] GT-I9500 Google's apps (Gmail, Play Store, Hangouts) Not working Android 4.3

Hi guys,
I am a newbie here, so I will just explain it in layman's terms. I am running Android 4.3 on Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 variant. Its not rooted. I have been using it since I bought it a year ago, with no problems. Since yesterday my Gmail, Play Store, Hangouts are not working and it always give "No Connection" error. I tried clearing up the cache, clearing up the data of Google Play Store and Google Play Services as many other forums and threads have advised, but it's not working. I also tried the factory reset, and it went crazier as I wasn't able to sign in my Google Account in the first place. After trying again and again and again it miraculously signed in, but I still cannot access Google's other apps. I thought somehow the host file can be responsible for it but I don't know how it could be or how to fix it, if it is the culprit. I will be grateful to you guys if you can help out here
Thanks

I have the same issue on a GT-I9505 since tuesday 27/05, reseting the phone makes things work for about 15 minutes, then they all stop working.
I am going to try to figure out if it was something that got installed in the last few days, if all fails I will try a factory reset and later a new ROM.

[Q] Problem with play store. FC + No connection.

Hello people!
I've been through alot of solutions and i still couldn't fix it. Hence this thread.
An hour ago i started my regular update run, updating 6 apps. After updating the first app, play store force closed. This didn't happen to me for ages, so i thought let's start by clearing the cache of download manager and google play store. This didn't work, so i tried uninstalling the updates. and rebooting the phone.
At this point play store worked again, so i tried updating another app. But after this updating, the fc was back. So i repeated the cache clearing and found somewhere that if i did that with google framework, play would probably come back. But it didn't.
So after this i rebooted again and started google play. And it started. But now things got worse. Google play gives me a no connection retry since then. Even after clearing dalvik and rebooting again.
So i guess my question is clear. How do i get play working again on my phone?
Thanks in advance for answering!
P.s. I also found a solution which said to remove and add the google account, but on my xperia z1 with 4.4.4 i can't seem to find that option?

Google Play Services stopped responding

Ok so I have been having this issue since I got on 5.1.1 removed my google account (forget the exact reason why) and when I go and try to add it again I keep getting a ”Google pay services has stopped responding” I have cleared data on google services framework, google account manager, google play store, google play service and also google play games just for good measure. When I click add account it goes to a screen and says "Checking info" with a bar going across the screen. Then it stops less then 5 seconds later saying google play services stopped responding. Occasionally when I clear the data on the programs above I will get to a screen that says "just one sec" after the checking info one however it still doesn't work.
I have already tried a factory reset, have cleared everything through fast boot and then reinstalled 5.1.1 its been doing it since I've gotten on 5.1.1 never did this on a custom ROM as well as 5.0.1/5.0.2. Anybody have any idea how to fix this? A lot of things are unusable without a account set up. I'm pretty stumped honestly. Have also tried reinstalling google play services and the play store. I am rooted, custom kernel, TWRP. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Unfortunately flashing system in fastboot had no effect.
