Hi all,
For a long time I have being using CM and CM based rome like Slim. Recently (since 4.2.1 and up) I have very annoying issue that is preventing me on using these ROMs as a daily drivers. Namely when my phone boots up I can place only a couple of outgoing calls before they start being rejected with message "Call Ended". That is happening before even call is connected at 0:00. I have tried to google for the problem and have found only that some users on Motorola phones had similar issue back when GB rolled out and they have being able to temporarily correct it by deleting dialer cache. Sadly that doesn't work for me too. Only thing that I can do is to restart my phone...
Thank you for your help guys...

Actually I don't know why u r facing this problem may be flashing a different modem will solve your problem
And for reboot... If u have to reboot frequently use a app (forgetting its name) that will restart all your networks in one click without rebooting...

Thanks on ur answer but I really don't want to use some app every time I want to make a phone call. Is it possible that modem is causing issues because when I flash 4.1.2 I don't have these issues and also, like I mentioned before, I can make one or two calls after I reboot my phone.

I was trying to make calls yesterday and no matter who I called they couldn't hear me at all as if the microphone was broke. But the strange thing was, if I used S Voice it worked no problem and Skype did aswell.
This is why I cant understand what was going on.
I tried restoring from a backup but still didn't work. Did a full wipe and re installed a Rom from scratch.
Everything did work before I backed up and was working then suddenly stopped. I dint know what triggered it. Didn't install or do anything strange to it

You are not the only one. I tried several ROMS, all but one (checkrom v3.) did not work. Also only lbf modem is working for me. I tried to complain on several threads all devs do not recognise this as a pb.

I have this problem as well, I get it fixed by flashing a different modem everytime it brakes. Rather annoying issue. Atm running cm9 and lef radio. Hope this gets solved sometime soon.
Hello,
I bought recently the new SGS3 and after a week or two of using I noticed the phone loses all the sounds despite all of them are turned on and not being on minimum. After a while the sounds get back and everything works fine. At first I thought it might be from the settings because I set up silent mode for all notifications and I thought it may turn all the sounds off, despite it normally shouldn't. After playing for a while with the phone I realized the issue appears randomly without any reasons while I was playing game or simply navigating through the phone. If anyone had experienced the same issue or have an idea what could be the problem (software, hardware, settings, OS, etc) or how it can be solved, please respond. Any answer is appreciated as the problem is quite annoying as I'm missing calls because of it.
Thank you.
Phone details:
Samsung Galaxy S III
Android version - 4.0.4
Baseband version - I9300BOLF1
Kernel version - 3.0.15-782020
Build number - IMM76D.I9300XXBLFB
P.S. Restart of the phone doesn't help as I already tried it. The issues is related to all the sounds not to the vibration, the last works fine.
Backup data and factory reset.

Thank you for your advise JJEgan, unfortunately it didn't help neither. Yesterday I did the factory reset and left it as it is, didn't restore any of my previous settings or apps, didn't install anything additional, just wanted to see if the problem will appear again, and unfortunately it did.
Anything else I can try or I should take it to a service?
Thank you
I have the same problem with notification sounds. The problem appears when i turn off notifications on apk like im+ or Yahoo messenger. Is there any other solution rather than factory rest?

Hi,
Galaxy S2
F1 GalaxyNexus ROM, Build 5.
I'm having a problem switching calls. When the second call comes in I'm notified of it and swipe right to answer it but I get an error, "unable to switch calls". I had the same problem in Build 1 so updated to Build 5 today but I still get the same error when I try to switch to the second call.
I've checked that call waiting is enabled, and it is.
I've turned it off and rebooted the phone but strangely still get notified of the second call.
I've re-enabled call waiting and rebooted but still get the same error as before "unable to swich calls".
I'm on Vodafone pay as you go, Freedom Freebie.
Any ideas please? I'm a noob so can't post on the Faryaab's development thread
Thanks
Greg
I probably should of said....
The Baseband version is I9100XXLPS.
If the second caller hangs up I am able to get back to the first caller.
If I can get the first caller to hang up then I can switch to the second caller.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Greg
Just bumping my own thread again.
Wondering if anyone can advise if they have call waiting enabled and can switch calls and what ROM you're running?
Any help would be really appreciated
Cheers

Hi Sun90,
Sorry about the bump, will edit my OP if I need to in the future.
In Titanium I did a 'wipe data' for 'Phone 4.0.4-eng', shutdown, pulled the battery and rebooted. No luck unfortunately
I was wondering if this could be related to the baseband? I'm running I9100XXLPS on Vodafone UK. What are you running?
I might have to check out the ROM you're running! I really like this ROM but not being able to switch calls is such a pain.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers

Hi Sun90,
Just tried as you said but the only option was to clear data, which I did. I also cleared the defaults (not sure what that'll do!), switched off, pulled battery but still get the same error, unable to switch calls.
I suppose it must be the ROM
Thanks anyway.
Cheers

just to ensure its a problem with the present version of F1 rom ur using, i would suggest u to try an older or a newer version of that rom and see, also alternatively check with some other rom like 'Slim ICS' for instance and see if the issue persists
I worked out what the defaults is all about, it's cause I've got calls set to default to the phone rather than Skype.
I've removed Skype just in case it was causing the issue but it wasn't.
Any other ideas please?
Cheers

Solved
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick update to say that Vodafone UK advised me that call waiting / switching doesn't work when you are on pay as you go
I had previously posted in the Vodafone forum and been advised to try a wipe and spoken to tech support who advised that it should work, luckily for me I spoke to someone today that knew what they were talking about!
Thanks for your help.
Cheers

Hey everybody.
My girlfriend is having a terrible problem with her new Xperia Go. It's running the latest Stock Firmware and Kernel without Root and every time she gets an incoming call, the phone won't react for about 15 seconds and then a FC Popup appears. This happens as soon she tries to answer the call. We rebooted it and it worked as it should after a fresh boot, but as soon she uses apps like Whatsapp, Facebook and so on, the problem persists and it's kinda of frustrating. A smartphone should be able to handle those things and she's really disappointed. Thinks I've tried:
-Clear data and cache of Contacts and Phone.
-Hard Reboot
-Recently installed the latest update via OTA (I hoped the problem would get fixed, but unfortunately it's still there)
-Tried using the stock launcher since she uses Nova Launcher
If someone has got an idea of what's going on please reply this post. I don't know if I should root her phone or maybe install a custom ROM. Honestly I wouldn't like to do that since she's a Noob in Android and basically in Technology Stuff. But if that's the solution, I would do that. It's really frustrating.
Thanks! Hope anybody could help
EDIT: SOLVED!
I tried to limit the background processes in developer settings and set the maximum to 4 processes and it magically solved the problem!

After 4.2 stock rom update via sp tool, observed one more bug, can anyone also confirm if you also observed below issue?
Tried to freshly flash 4.2 and confirmed . Not present with 4.1 stock..
Issue: start Bluetooth, pair Bluetooth headset connect it, then give a ring to any contact, suddenly the call stops, Sim card signals lost and start searching signal! This happens at least 3 times in 5 calls you give....sad part is the contact you called will get a single ring like a missed call!
Any one with blue tooth and 4.2, please check once
Please help...

Radio signal for both sims are turned off and returned in few seconds as soon as connected to bluetooth. very annoying..
Another issue I found is on using one of the sims the voice is too much distorted on using blutooth. strangely if the same person ring you back on the same number its all clear using the same blutooth... problem is only on out going calls through blutooth. I tried a different blutooth and same story..
