I get the feeling that it was a race to see who could get s-off first. im sure they had no intention of giving us s-off from the start. but thats just my thought.

If we do get s-off today and with this new kernel source we can have some pretty smooth AOSP Roms here soon given that HTC Sense is a OS in itself any AOSP Rom should run like a Geo metro with an LS6 in it

If am correct now that the kernel is released doesn't this reset on reboot once we try this? & if so is there some type of guide to show us on how to use this kernel on temp-root?

So I'm finally getting around to playing with my 4G LTE and just curious what everybody thinks is the best ROM. Of course everybody is entitled to their opinion. Pros and cons please?
I'm stock as a bird with wings, if that makes sense! Lol.. But If I would have the privilege in knowing how to ROOT my device and putting a ROM I would go for Jelly-Bean! Just because its a everyday runner. My 2 cent!

Common misconception, you don't need to root your ROM to flash roms. You just need to unlock and flash twrp. You install superuser only to root stock rom. The only reason you would need to root a rom is if you have 1.12 since lazy panda requires root to achieve soff

Stock variants keep everything in tact. Aosp is lean and steady but you lose all the proprietary features like image sense (definitely not a gimmick) and their media link. It comes down to what works for you and what tweaks and extras suit you more.
mean rom!!!!! hands down!!! speed.. battery life is beast!! mean rom gets more support than any other rom out...:good:

I mean the only reason to root the stock rom lol or if you want to stay stock and don't want to flash stock with goodies. Lazy panda is soff but it only works for hboot 1.12

MeanROM by far is the best
There's really no best, it just depends on what you want, my suggestion is to flash a few until you decide what you want...viper, superlte, meanrom tranquility and flex are my favorites, but experiment a little, give feedback, and then and only then will you begin to enjoy the art of flashing....happy flashing my friend...just don't do the trench coat thing...that's ummmm....no bueno LOL

so like the thread title says i was trying to root from an nrg rom, to the ics nrg rom. did it through cwm non touch, everything went fine apparently but it wont boot, any solutions to this? thanks!

Pull out the battery. Put it in then hold volume down and power button to go in bootloader.

I've never had this problem out of any of my phones before this is my first HTC device the only Rom that seemed to work was speedrom one Rom in the description said if I unlocked with HTC dev I didn't need to s-off so why is it getting stuck on the boot logo and it is impossible for me to do s-off cuz its not my computer to be doing a dual boot please any suggestions??

Lmao @ the flip phone
OK this is the last time I try anything on this phone.. OK I wanted to try out the MIUI rom and I downgraded to 3.15 everything was fine.. But I didn't like it to much so I did the PJ75IMG back to 3.17 from Captains thread, and when it said to press power to reboot it now gets stuck at the htc splash screen. When I try to reboot back into bootloader it just goes through the update and wants to reset again now I'm stuck. I can't get into recovery or the rom to delete the IMG file.. PLEASE HELP I am just going to stay on super jelly and not flash again....
