Which kernels are compatible with CyanogenMod 10.1? I have been using SiyahKernel until recently, but an update from Temasek (I am using his "kanged" CM 10.1) rendered the phone unbootable when flashing SiyahKernel (boot loop).
You can use temaseks kernel its pretty good. Also there is yanks kernel working well.

Hello guys.
At the moment, I'm using siyah kernel 4.0.1 with dual boot of CM9 RC2 and slim ics (2ndry). Now I want to update from CM9 RC2 to the latest stable release.
Can I flash without data wipe/ factory reset and having all apps and settings still there?
Thx for reply folks!
Btw: great platform!

Yeah. there's a guide to dual boot with siyah. I believe you would just go to the dual boot settings in cwm recovery and flash the updated zip to the first/second rom.

Thx. Made an backup via cwm, then flashed the newest CM9 version. Everything went fine. I only had to reflash siyah kernel cause it installed the cm kernel while flashing.
Can be closed!

cm 10.1 has been updated to android 4.2.2. Whenever I flash the latest Siyah or Dorimanx kernel, sim card is never detected. The stock cm kernel works fine. Any fixes?
Also I loved the slide to wake feature on Dorimanx,is there a way to port it to my stock cm kernel, like an app or a flashable? I read through a few forums but didnt find anything solid. Thanks in advance
Dorimanx 7.4.8 do have tested
im using dorimanx 7.49, it works well with latest version of cm10.1.

I'm running cyanogenmod 9.0.0 and I want to dual boot with another from using siyah kernel but whenever I flah it it boots up shows the kernel logo and just stays black!

Well if you read and searched properly you'd know that dual booting doesn't work on ICS...
...and also, no ICS ROM or Kernel can be considered safe from Sudden Death Syndrome...

when you start flashing roms on your phone, you should be aware of what you are doing. how could you be so silly? under siyah kernel it is already said that dual boot is only for sammy JB 4.1.2 and CM10 and above.
note:the thanks i clicked for you was accidental!
Hello everyone one yes your right stupid of me!

So does it mean siyah still does not have support for any ROM above 4.2?
I'm currently using 4.2.2 NeatROM and I've just tried Siyah 1.8.6 - 1.9.1 and none of them works

It's right.
First System (CM),
then kernel.
But when you have drain, try to do a factory reset.
If it still drains, try other kernels, like temasek or Yank555.
But they're all not supporting exFat.

I'm with stock rom 4.3 (GNA8) and Boeffla Kernel 5.3 beta5
I want to test UltimaROM v17.0 Diablos BETA. The Boeffla Kernel for this rom is "Samsung JB 4.4.x kernel" version right?
Yes, use this one

Thank you.
Should I first install the kernel or the rom? Because I have a kernel for 4.3 and will install a rom 4.4.
You need V6 of Andi's kernel. First install the ROM and let it boot. There were issues with the cam when using a custom kernel without opening the cam with stock kernel one time after boot >> open cam one time, see if it works and then reboot to recovery and flash boeffla kernel. Then you are done.

Do you mean install a stock kernel, install ultimarom and then install the boeffla kernel v6? If so, what stock kernel do you suggest?
http://boeffla.df-kunde.de/sgs3/boeffla-kernel/Series 6.x (JB 4.4.x)/6.0/
or beta
http://boeffla.df-kunde.de/sgs3/boeffla-kernel/Test_jb44/
Andi is Lord Boeffla's real first Name
Stock kernel is the standard kernel which is included in UltimaRom and will be installed when you flash the ROM . Just install the ROM and let it boot after finishing.

Right
Wasn't a good combination for now. Crashes and excessive heat
