My wife's Titan bluetooth has suddenly stopped connecting to both of our Supertooth Buddy. I thought it was the bluetooth device, but my iPhone has no problems connecting. I tried to connect with another bluetooth device, but it would not connect. The phone recognizes the bluetooth devices, can pair, but can not connect. I was wondering if there was a way to reset the bluetooth to see if that will help the bluetooth to connect. I have thought about updating from 7.5 to 7.8, but I haven't done enough research into this possibility and I don't want to brick my wife's phone.
If I need to back up my wife's phone, I really only need to back up the contacts. Everything else is easily updated.
Thanks.

Iv been having this issue for a few months and I tried searching around, couldnt find anything thats exactly like my problem
anyways, I have tried different versions of wireless tether and stil have this problem
80% of the time I launch the app, and start the tether, my laptop will recognize it and connect for only about 10 seconds. after the 10 seconds, my laptop will disconnect from the phone like the wifi network has been lost for "android_tether"
I have to keep start and end tether and reconnect and disconnect on my laptop's end as well... and finally if I am lucky, after rebooting both devices, it will randomly work without flaws.
what is the issue?... what can I do?...
thank you very much xda.

Which application are you using to wirelessly tehter? are you using any kind of encryption?
If you are running a custom rom there should be a setting under the wireless settings heading where you can activate and deactivate wireless tethering, i use this feature in place of any other tethering application as it seems to work the best with and without encryption.
Hi,
I have recently bought a NATPC M009s with ICS on it. I'm completely new to android!
I'm having problems getting it to connect to wifi at home and wondered if anyone can help.
I have a BT home hub 2, the tablet will see the network and allow me to enter the wifi password but it then sits saying 'saved, secured with WPA' and no matter how many times I press connect it won't. Apart from very occasionally it will connect but there is nothing consistent as to why it suddenly decides to connect!! Other laptops and phones connect to the home hub fine
Things I have tried:
Setting a static IP for tablet on the home hub
Rebooting router and tablet
factory reset on tablet
factory reset on home hub
Downgrading to gingerbread (failed as the instructions on how to do it didn't work!)
Tethering tablet via wifi to my iphone (connects no problem)
Searched forums for previous posts with similar problems - no luck!
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it connecting reliably?

This is really odd, I suggest you try to very temporarily turn off password protection on the WiFi network, just to see if thats what is throwing it off.
WiFi can be an oddball and doesnt confirm to logic.

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. Tried it and with security off the tablet connected (after 2 attempts - failed to get IP address on the first one).
I then put security back on, it connected once!! It then dropped the connection and won't connect again.
Arrgh! So frustrating.
So does this suggest that the security is the problem.... I don't know.
Any other thoughts?

Sounds like a defective WiFi hardware. You get a too low signal reception and/or transmission, corrupting most of your frames. Try placing it as close to the router as possible and see if there's any change. Or get the unit replaced.
I wanted to see if anyone else has data problems when android wear is trying to connect to a watch that is off or out of range. It only happens when it's trying to connect and not when it's waiting to retry the connection.
Hi all,
About a month or so ago I started to experience issues with with the Wifi and Bluetooth on my tablet.
At this stage I'm unable to switch on the Wifi or the Bluetooth. I'm only able to to use the cellular connection. When you try and enable the wifi connection is shows that it's trying to scan for a network, but it actually never switches the Wifi on. At times it actually pauses for a few seconds after selecting the Wifi option. Then at times it just doesn't do anything when trying to activate the Wifi via the quick pull down menu.
From what I have read it appears to be a hardware problem, but then I also saw comments that it might just be a software issue.
I was rooted at one stage and in my desperation I did a OTA update to the latest 5.1.1 release to see if that will help, but it did not.
When I was rooted I did a factory reset via TWRP, but that also did not work.
My device isn't under warranty anymore so RMA isn't really an option.
However I would like to check with the community if there is anyone else who had this issue and managed to get it fixed.
Is it a hardware or software problem or even a bit of both?
Would one be able to possibly replace the WIFI and Bluetooth radio in the Z2?
I normally use the Z2 for media consumption whilst at home over the wifi connection and would like to see if it can be fixed without costing an arm and a leg.
Your help or suggestion will be appreciated.
Hello there, it's been a long time since I've posted on XDA but I require assistance. I purchased an S6 Edge a few months back and everything is working as should apart from bluetooth tethering.
I have tried with my laptop and my nexus 7 which I have installed in my car, both of which worked fine with my previous HTC M8. After setting up tethering on my phone, the other devices connect and the icon appears indicating that tethering is active and an internet connection is available, but I am not able to actually connect to the internet.
My Samsung is not rooted, unfortunately, as I don't want to trip 'knox' for warranty purposes.
Just to clarify that I am doing everything correctly, I select 'mobile hotspot and tethering' from the settings menu of my S6 Edge, then 'Bluetooth tethering'. This turns on Bluetooth and enables tethering. From my paired devices (Laptop and nexus 7) I select 'Use as internet connection'. The devices connect and the tethering icon appears. No internet connection is available.
I imagine this isn't a common issue as after searching I didn't find any threads indicating the same problem.
What would be the best way to troubleshoot this?
EDIT: I would like to add that Bluetooth file sharing works without problems.
EDIT: I would also like to add that my phone is SIM free, and I use the same provider as with my previous HTC M8 that worked fine.
My android version is still 5.1.1 as the update is not available in my area yet.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Rob.
Update: I manually updated my phone to 6.0.1 (without rooting) as I never got the update pushed to my phone. I am still having the same bt tethering issue. My phone says I'm connected and sharing internet with my other device (nexus 7) but that device isn't connected. My s6 is connected fine, it's just not sharing properly.
I get the same results with my laptop.
Can any body suggest any fixes??
EDIT: If my phone is connected to wifi, it will share that connection. If it is connected to 3g/4g it doesn't share the connection even though the phone itself is connected.
Bump.
I suppose nobody is having this problem. Is there any way to debug what is happening?
I am having the same problem. Trying to bluetooth tether my Galaxy s6 edge to Galaxy S2 tab. Both on Android 6.0.1 It appears that the connection is established, but internet does not work on the tablet. Let me know if you had any luck.
