It worked for a couple of days...
Open a file explorer. I'm using Root Explorer
Navigate to: System\App
Locate S-voice_Android_phone_NLI.apk
Long press it until a menu pops up.
Select Permissions.
Check the boxes as shown in the first post. Done.
By the way, I reverted back the original S-Voice as the new one no longer seems to work. Maybe this will clear up after the release of S4.
Hello!
First, I apologize for my poor english. It's not my mother tongue.
I'm using JB 1.4.2 on Razr i.
There's one thing that's annoying me a lot. I've installed the SNES Emulator SuperGNES and I've found that every single file type that have no app associated is showing SuperGNES icon and associated with it. Example: .log, .db, etc. Even files that have no extension is associated with it. The same problem occur when ZArchiver is installed. I don't know if it's a bug of these two apps or Android's in general. Remembering that this associations are shown only inside Android's native file manager. It's like every "unknown MIME type file" act like being the same.
I only want to understand why it's happening, even if there's no solution...
Thanks in advance!
When we try to open files it's the file explorer fires an activity with the data of file properties any app that has declared to receive intents of that specific type are launched.
In case the app fails to filter what file types it reads that app would be called every time you open a file unless there's a default app to do so.

It's like the application telling the system that it can open "anything"... interesting...
So the problem is in app itself. Maybe an mistake made by developer when setting what files it can open.

Hi
I make flashlable.zip SNote N7100 MC3 deodex for you and I have no Problem with Snote and all is good.
wipe cache and dalvic cache first, Flash the zip with recovery and after fix permissions, reboot your Sytsem. Finish!
HAVE FUN with SNote N7100 MC3 deodex...
Thanks a million for your efforts. But even after flashing, I have no idea why it is still giving the same error "Unfortunately, S Note has stopped." I have found another S Note flashable zip file which has been ported from Note 8. That is working like a charm without any issues.
The only issue is its slightly bigger size just like Awesome Note. In landscape it works fine. So guess, I will have to live with it.
Nevertheless, many thanks once again for all your help.

Try going through Menu / Settings / Application Manager / go to All Apps and search SNOTE and delete all data in the app SNOTE.
Then back to main menu.
Start new the phone and then re-open the app SNOTE then to do a forced sync and SNOTE synchronizes completely new.
May be the trigger to prevent old data with MC3 and SNOTE error.
My zip and SNOTE are with MC3 SNote.apk and I have no problems.
Good Luck
Naah.. Not working. Have to live with S Note from Note 8. At least something is better than nothing.

SNOTE Crash Fix -- Thanks to GR8CDNPumpkin
1. Open Samsung keyboard settings.
2. Go to languages.
3. Update languages.
4. Download English (US)
5. Select it in Languages.
6. In Application Manager, Force stop S Note, then clear data.
7. Go to second S Note and repeat step above. (First S Note is program, second is S Note Provider.)
8. Start S Note.
9. Win.
Tried it.... In vain. I have no idea as to why none of the N7100 Snote apps are working, whereas the port from Note 8 is working flawlessly.

Hi you have Problems with your System.
Have you odex or deodex on your System?
The SNote.apk work on system/app and the aNote8.apk works on data/app and you have no Problem wit aNote8_HD.apk because it is not a system app:laugh:
look here my Friend and my System is deodex XXDMC3 Sotmax Rom and both apps working perfect!!
and look here my Friend...LINK
My Rom is ARHD 14 - it's deodexed and I am talking about Snote not Anote. I understand the difference my friend.
Both apps Anote HD and Snote were working absolutely fine till a few days ago. Only since yesterday I saw this error popping up in Snote. I tried N7100 flashable Snote zip files, but in vain. I found Note 8's Snote flashable zip file. I uninstalled the previous faulty Snote app from system and then flashed Note 8 Snote zip via recovery. It worked like a charm, whereas N7100's Snote flashable zip files are not correcting the issue. Even tried the crash fix mentioned above, but same result. Now I have both Anote and Snote apps ported from Note 8 working flawlessly as data and system apps respectively.
I had tried flashing Note 8 keyboard (shared in one of the posts in this forum) a couple of days earlier and it screwed up my Samsung keyboard. So had to reflash my keyboard. I guess that keyboard seems to have caused some error. I had shared my feedback in that post.

Is it possible to alter the list of apps available to multiwindow without root? I don't really care to trip knox.
Thanks
I give up on waiting for a Knox-free root. What is the best multi window method? I really liked the way the old note 10.1 worked. Anything like that?

Xposed, then MW Apps Manager allows you to add apps to the multi-window list.
Pen Window Manager allows to add apps to pen window list. Pen Window Launcher allows you to open these apps without going through Air Command.
And, Pen Window Launcher coupled with GMD Gesture Control let you open Pen Window without removing SPen. You can draw a box or any custom gesture with finger!

Well I dont own a Note 10.1 (but planning to buy one and hence was going through this thread). However I have done this on my Note 2 that has got note 3 features including Pen Window and it is working like a charm. I am pretty sure it will work on Note 10.1
1) Install Pen Window Launcher (PWL), go to PWL settings, click on "Drawer Icon Action" and select "Show PWL Directly". So we will not have the floating button (and we don't need it)
2) Install GMD, go to "User Gestures" and Record a new gesture (rectangular box will be ideal), Click "Next>Select Action>Application and choose PWL and save.
With this you can launch PWL with finger on top of any app or home screen.
Actually you an have lot of other utilities as well with GMD. Alt+ Tab will be another one of them two switch between two apps (see in screen shot below).
By the way, hope your device is rooted

With the old Note, I would open Kindle and SNote then take notes by circling/copy a passage and dragging it directly on the SNote that is open in split screen.
I haven't rooted, so I haven't tried this method - but in trying this in the default multi window with Chrome and SNote I haven't found that the 2014 is as functional nor as fast as the old SNote but maybe it has something to do with my old one being rooted.
Do you have any experience with this? I'd love to know I could do that on the 2014. It was one of the most functional features I used on the original 10.1.

Then I must be confused between Xposed and the Xposed Framework. The latest version of Xposed can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47991707. This is version 2.4, but then again, maybe it's Xposed or maybe it's Xposed Framework. As you can tell, I'm not very familiar with all of this and am trying to learn all the functionalities of my 7 Android devices.
Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, so here is what I think; To use Xposed, the Framework has to be installed. To install Framework, you need to be rooted.

If you install Xposed and then click install updates within the app it installs the frameworks.
You then need to download Modules (from the Download section within Xposed), install it and enable.as per your requirements.
You need to be rooted for installation.
