How can I schedule/trigger a dump with BetterBatteryStats - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Anyone knows how I can force a dump with BetterBatteryStats once the battery reaches a given level?.
I'm suffering from spontaneous massive battery drain but as this is not a consistent behaviour and can happen once a week or less, it is hard to catch it. If BBS could detect when the battery level is going down a limit and after dump the stats, then I could find the culprit.
Thanks,

[Q] Faulty battery or faulty phone?

So my SGS2 is about a month old and lately, it has been draining rather quickly. I decided to take out the battery and reinsert it. I noticed my battery level had dropped about 20%, but it fixed the problem for a couple of days. Now, I have to take out the battery every day in order to get it to last past 8 hours and the percentage of battery left drops about 20% every time (i.e. before taking the battery out, I'll have 80%, when I reinsert it a minute later, I suddenly have 60% or so). Do you think this is a faulty battery or faulty phone issue? Also, I have not done any software updates on the phone if that makes any difference.
maybe be faulty hardware.... BUT
have you installed any new apps lately? check out the general section for common causes of rouge apps causing battery drain. also its the fuel gauge for our phone. entrophy has mentioned countless times that random percentage drops are due to it
Please use search.
There are lot of threads talking about
- BetterBatteryStats
- CPU Spy
- fuel gage
- fuel gauge
- drops
- battery
- battery level
- reboot
Search for these and you shall find your answer.

[Q] question about battery use

Two questions:
1. what sort of battery discharge rate would indicate that my tab has a problem? i was reading using aldiko last night for about an hour, and the battery went from about 85% to 70%. it seems like this is higher than it should be for just passively reading an ebook. thoughts? does this battery burn rate seem legit? how do i know when i have a problem? is there a good way to test my battery in terms of whether or not i am getting teh batery life i should?
2. the battery stats in "settings" are not working properly. there is no breakdown of which components are using teh battery. there is nothing under teh graph at all. any one else have this issue? thoughts on how to fix?

[Q] troubleshooting battery drain issue

I am looking for some thoughts on troubleshooting a mysterious battery drain issue.
My TF-201 and dock used to hold a charge for a week or more when doing nothing. Recently my TF201 will drain the battery in less than a day even when docked. I notice this when I try to use it and it is dead. Of course, once it's dead, I can't view batter stats or use Better Battery stats to see what is causing the drain. The data is gone.
Here's what's happening. The Asus is docked and closed and will idle for a day or two and I might get a 10% drop in battery charge. Then, it just drops to zero the next day.
I am examining if there are any events that are schedule to occur that might keep Wi-Fi on or the CPU out of a deepsleep, either or both would drain the batter, but since I haven't caught it at a low enough point that shows massive drain without being completely drained, I haven't had much luck.
I haven't tried leaving it undocked to see if the problem persists (if it didn't, that indicates a problem with the keyboard/dock. It did persist, that would indicate a problem elsewhere).
Any ideas on how to proceed?

Hi,
If you check the battery usage you can see what app is using your battery. Maybe an app or a process running and this causing the drain. If you cannot see anything there I would do a factory reset..

mmc0_detect and bbd_wake_lock standby drain

Hi.
Usually my standby drain is amazing like 3-5% per night but sometimes it goes crazy discharging 10-20% and I found out (using BBS) that these two wakelocks are the main cause of standby drain but it only happens sometimes.
I managed to understand that it is WiFi related but what I don't understand is why it only happens sometimes. I think it is happening since the latest April security patch only.
Has anyone noticed this problem?
Thanks for the help :fingers-crossed:

Question Battery Drain Issue

I have been using the Pixel 6 for the last 4 months. The experience was pretty good till I faced this battery issue. All on a sudden, the battery gets drained by each percent in 2-3 seconds and consequently, it gets shut down in less than 4-5 mins. I have tried factory reset but the problem still persists. Its getting annoying day by day. What can I do now?
going to need a lot more info.
i would wipe the phone and start adding your apps back one at a time, use a battery useage monitor like accubattery or betterbatterystats or other ones.
likely something is a battery hog or you have battery issues. a battery app may tell you which.
It's likely that a badly behaving app is killing your battery. There's some useful info under Battery Usage in Setting that could tell you what's killing your battery. Or you could install Accubattery for more info. Either one may help you narrow it down.
