Hi.
Usually my standby drain is amazing like 3-5% per night but sometimes it goes crazy discharging 10-20% and I found out (using BBS) that these two wakelocks are the main cause of standby drain but it only happens sometimes.
I managed to understand that it is WiFi related but what I don't understand is why it only happens sometimes. I think it is happening since the latest April security patch only.
Has anyone noticed this problem?
Thanks for the help :fingers-crossed:

So ive been using omega v27 based on the official Poland Jelly Bean rom, and i have noticed that my battery is draining quicker when im on wifi... i used better battery stats and my wifi seems to be keeping my phone awake unless i put on settings "turn wifi off during sleep" on never.
I wanted to know if someone else is experiencing something similar to this, i thought my drain should be higher on 3G/Hdspa, however this is not the case.
thanks.
I thought battery drain should be higher when using wifi
nope.. usually the phone consumes less battery on wifi.. well at least thats how i thought it should be
In my case wifi doesn't keep the phone awake, or at least not awake like with softlocker which causes much faster battery drain. With wifi always on, mine can standby more than 1 hour for every 1% battery according to battery monitor widget.
seems like i fixed it, no idea how though
Recently, my battery percentage has been suddenly dropping like in the pictures below. It usually happens when I'm playing a game or doing some other battery intensive thing. I don't think the battery is really drained because it usually discharges to 1% and stays there for a long time in standby. But if I keep playing games, then it will shut down.
I am currently running Neutrino 3.02 and have had the same problem on CM 10.1 with the latest kernel.
I use ravilov's battery calibration app, but it doesn't seem to solve this problems. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Maybe the battery is too old or something else... Thanks for your help!
Hey guys I've been having these troubles with my H7, I've been having heating issues and my battery drain has been horrible. I've installed CPUz and I've checked temps and on normal browsing its average is around 48°C (Temps in TWRP sometimes reach 57°C). What was alarming was that CPUz was showing DDR as 82°C regularly never drops, same thing with system_l which stays at 71°C. Please let me know what these 2 measurements are. And lastly I've had horrible battery drain. My screen on time barely lasts 2 hours. I've tried reflashing my kernel and even set my kernel to powersaving. I've tried turning the phone off for a few hours and the battery still drains somehow. Thanks for the help.
Same problem with official rom and no customisation

Did your try factory reset?
I got the phone yesterday, I set it up but haven't transferred my sim yet but I've noticed that the battery drain when idle is quite severe. I've only done the OnePlus transfer. And WiFi has always been on. But this battery drain is not got at all.
Can anyone please advise how to improve it. In fact , I had put it on battery saver mode and it still drained. For example at 10% decrease over 7 hours is not good. I expect a 1-2 % decrease overnight.

Try uninstalling OnePlus Switch. You don't need it if you've set up your device already.

This is just how this phone works, and I recommend you to not expect what you experienced before with your previous phone would happen on this phone. I don't know if one can use Greenify's aggressive doze function without rooting, but it definitely improved the battery drain overnight by a lot on my 7T Pro non-5G McLaren.
Hey I hope you guys are doing great !
Well i bought this phone like last month and the battery was working fine for the first few days but then its battery started decreasing faster than before while using the same apps as before. The most battery drains while its still in the idle conditions and overnight.
At first it would only loose like 1 or 2 percent over night but now it looses like 1 percent battery every hour it stays idle.
I have attached 2 screenshots below to show what I'm talking about . Both screenshots were taken 1 day apart and as you can see , sometimes the battery works fine but sometimes it drains a lot and its mostly when its idle. Kindly suggest me something if you got anything in mind that what might be the issue here.
Maybe the radio of your phone, that's what's draining mine fast.
And Facebook is a well known battery drainer
If you tap on the graph once, it allows you to find out the battery drain for specific time intervals and their length can be adjusted as well. Please do that and tell us which app or apps are draining the most battery during standby. Btw is your aod on? Aod prevents the device from sleeping properly so the battery drain can rise up to 2% per hour if its on. If that is not the case as well, try turning off location and nfc if they are not being used, and turn off wifi and cellular before going to sleep and then check the drain. Also try disabling google play protect from play store, and check out the link below which improved battery life for many people including myself:
